Taranaki Falls! NZ Located in the incredible tongariro national park (home of the tongariro crossing) is the 20m high Taranaki falls. It’s the perfect reward to an amazing hike through one of the most beautiful areas in the county! Surrounded by native bush, historical volcanic land, crystal clear streams and a series of smaller waterfalls, Taranaki falls is the icing on the cake! Actually, then you’re walking in between mt Ruapehu and mt Ngaruahoe (mt doom for the lord of the rings fans) which really is unreal natural beauty!
