That Wanaka Tree, New Zealand Another one of New Zealand’s most photographed spots. “That Wanaka Tree” is a solo willow tree sitting in lake Wanaka. It really is a sight to behold! Crystal clear waters, the southern alps, fresh air, endless walks and nature to explore... simply amazing! Note - sadly, the Wanaka tree was vandalised just over a year ago. It brought everyone great sadness to see a loved landmark attacked. The far right lower branch is no longer there, this was taken before the unfortunate event. I still can’t believe someone would do that...
