However, if they do not get the expected rewards or success, then they may feel disappointed or defeated.

Others might feel defeated because of their own negative thoughts and beliefs that keep them from achieving their goals. For example, some people have limiting beliefs like “I’m not as smart as other people” which can lead them to avoid taking on new challenges or opportunities. With these negative thoughts and beliefs in mind, it’s easy for these people to feel defeated by circumstances at a time because there is no hope for improvement.

Sometimes we fall and lose during the journey because our expectations that we had in the beginning could not be fulfilled. I also sometimes feel defeated by the situation and the reason is to imagine my mistakes. Instead of blaming ourselves for the defeat, we should take a strong step forward because there is nothing but remorse in the past. To back down in such a situation is to lose without a war.

I often feel like this, like every forces in the worl put so much burden to me that it seems that it is really intentionally makes me feel so defeated and down, specially the pressure of being the person people wanted you to be and it's really consumes me so I rather be hated than to please them.
