Gobekli Tepe in Turkish means belly hill.

Gobekli Tepe is an archeological site of a Mesolithic sanctuary on a hill northeast about 15km from the town of Sanliurf and 95km from the Euphrates River in southeastern Anatolia in present-day Turkey. It is known as the oldest example of monumental architecture. .Which indicates that it is older than 7000 before the Pyramid of Cheops in Giza, which is also the oldest religious building in the world.

Gobekli Tepe was most likely erected by hunter-gatherers as the first permanent sanctuary, together with the somewhat younger, nearby shrine of Nevali Cori, which permanently changed the perception of the Eurasian Neolithic. of Upper Mesopotamia about 11,500 years ago.

Gobekli tepe is a very intricately constructed structure, massive, circular stone blocks, whose function cannot be predicted and guessed. new knowledge, so he is convinced that this is the oldest temple in the world.

Due to this kind of research and knowledge, in 2018, Gobekli Tepe became a world heritage site in Asia, inscribed on the UNESCO list of places, and is now under the protection of the world as the oldest temple in the world.

At the time of the construction of the temple of Gobeklitepe in Asia Minor, Europe was ruled by the Neolithic - the younger Stone Age, stone processing was at the level of the most primitive tools and weapons, people lived in caves. Agriculture did not yet exist.

I'm from Serbia, almost no one passes there now, it's overgrown with thorns, I kept cows there with my grandfather, so we often went there and lit candles when it was the holidays.

According to radiocarbon dating, the Puma Punku site was made between approximately 500 and 600 AD. However, this method is very unreliable, so the structures could have been built thousands of years before that, with which a large number of archaeologists agree.

You can imagine how much people, work and time it took, how they raised stones, carved. That's the idea.

The curiosity of this space is not only a time puzzle that has called the history they teach us into question, but it is also an exceptional work of art. Namely, massive stone pillars in the shape of the letter T, which are up to 6 meters high and weigh up to 20 tons

I just wonder how and with what they raised those stones, this is unthinkable to do at this time.

preserving and teaching future generations about other people's temples and preserving our own culture. Unfortunately, many people do not know how to appreciate it, so many cultural monuments and world-famous temples have been destroyed in recent events in Syria. I hope that the peoples of the world will become aware of the value of such cult places.
