Hi! How are you? Yep, you guess it right, let us freestyle for a bit. Let's be free for the time being and steer clear from the structures of life, of writing, and everything.
Everything goes in this article of mine. I don't know how many lines I will be able to put out, I don't know how many words I am going to use, and how many of them will I be utilizing time and time again. You know, my vocabulary is not that vast, if anything, it's just ample but really not extensive. To put it simply, it's just enough.
Enough with the blabber okay? Let's get down to the topic. For this article to take shape, let's just use the title for its essence. Why are the "bad things" so good?
Good, now that we have that, we shall focus on that. So first, when we say "bad things" what sorts of things come to your mind? Aren't these things prohibited? Aren't they frowned upon by others? Hmmm... Maybe they are somehow, erotic? But when you really think about them, you'll see that there's something about them that's common among them. Don't you think that they all could bring us unwanted consequences?
Consequences are the results or effects of any action or situation. Therefore, unwanted consequences are those that we consider, harmful, or detrimental to any aspect of our life such as our health, well-being, personality, and just overall humanity.
Humanity sucks in controlling these things or actions that are bad that bring us these dreaded effects. Such as eating foods that are not really beneficial to us. Types of food that are sweet, that are fatty, that are oily, these types of food are generally "bad" to our health but we could not get enough of them. Why? They are just so good aren't they? So gooood!
Good are those deemed by our physiology bad. Things like alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and all other substance that gives us that temporary escape from our harsh reality are considered bad because they have deteriorating effects to our health and bodies.
Bodies. How many hours do you think of someone else's body on average, based on a year? How many minutes have you fantasized about looking at someone's naked features? Features, that you are not supposed to see? How many videos have you watched? How many provocative pictures you've seen? Aren't these all bad? But why do they make us feel good, right? We are aware of the consequences, but we can't really master to shake away the urges.
Urges become impulses and we only regret when we sow the consequences. I think the consequences make these things somewhat good. Knowing that they are bad, knowing that they are taboo, put these things on that grand pedestal where we put the things that we "can't" have or achieve, and just by knowing that they are there as we look up, we form a desire, or fantasy to enjoy them. We want to experience the things we aren't supposed to, just because it gives us the thrill.
Thrill. Our minds are hardwired to seek pleasure, to seek thrills. A friend of mine is your textbook ladies' man. I wondered how he could toy with women's emotions like it was nothing, not a big deal at all. He seeks intimate relations with multiple women at a time even though he's committed, and in his exact words "I do it for the thrill". There was this time when he got a lady to be his girlfriend but as soon as they were going out and everything was "legal" between them, he got tired and sought out another.
Another, there will always be another. I think that if everything is allowable, and if we can do or have everything without a single consequence, we will have no sense of what's right, what's wrong, or what's good and what's bad. It will just be a plain and bland life. It's so stagnant that we won't be able to call it "living" at all.
Hi there!!!
I thought that it was time again for a freewriting session. Not because I don't have anything else to write about but I was just feeling a bit suffocated from things as of late.
Money issue here, the financial concern there, and surely you know, money makes the world go round. All of us know that, if you are poor, that is a painful reality you have to face every day, if you are rich, that's an advantage you tend to exploit.
Anyway, I am thankful that you are here with me and you took the time to read this little article of mine, and as always...
Cheers!!!

Title : Why Are The Bad Things So Good?

The bad becomes good because for them it has given them satisfaction. They do it because in the moment it feels good. It gives the person a boost. For example: like drug addicts they know that drugs are bad and illegal but because it makes them happy so they continue to use it.
