Let me just get to the point for once.
WELCOME TO THE PROMPT FACTORY!!!
This is a community here in read.cash that aims to help all of us aspiring writers with our writing endeavors.
Publishing content every single day is not an easy chore for most of us. For a majority of users here, we strive and struggle most times to come up with interesting content that we, ourselves, could be proud of.
Regretfully, we put ourselves in that situation wherein we put unnecessary stress and pressure on ourselves, oftentimes we find ourselves stuck in a slump somewhere. And then as we try to get away from the quicksand that is gradually pulling us in, we look up and there's a wall as high as a mountain that makes it even worse. The words "writer's block" written in bold and in all capital letters are engraved into that wall.
Once we find our pitiful selves in that situation, it is ever easy to lose hope, motivation, and conviction. It is easy to give up. And that's where our community comes in. In the community, we can find articles that we can draw inspiration from. There will be writing prompts to help you jumpstart that creative engine within you and make the artistic juice flowing.
Making an article out of nothing is really hard. I think most people would agree. It takes a lot of talent and a lot of imagination to come up with a creative article. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we can't force an idea or a muse from our little grey cells. So I think, that making use of writing prompts can be a good exercise to flex your fingers and stretch your mind.
Practice makes perfect, that's what they say. But there's no such thing as perfect, thus, I believe that practice makes us better. And that's one thing prompts can bring. We can practice our writing skills with them.
Taking up the challenge is the first step towards overcoming mental blocks. And it's fun when we all do it together. There is some sense of camaraderie when we challenge each other. Isn't it fun when we all do something together that we enjoy?
Friends, let me tell you now, this is a community and we are all part of it. So we can contribute in every capacity that we want and what we are able. You can write your articles using the prompts provided here or if you have a prompt or a topic to share, you can also encourage and persuade other writers to make it. Let us make it a two-way street. It's more fun that way. :)
Appreciation is a vital factor in the community's success. We should all appreciate the initiative and all the users' efforts in making this a possibility. We should also appreciate the contribution of each other to the community. Appreciate each prompt, each article, and most of all, appreciate each other.
Catering to the needs of our fellow authors who are facing a despicable enemy is the main goal of the community. So if you think you can help, in any way, don't hesitate to volunteer, and if you are in need of support and you think we can help, don't think twice about making your troubles known.
Titles can be tricky. Since we are using writing prompts, we may end up with the same concept and almost the same content in essence for our articles. You can use the same title as the original or you can be wild with yours and make it your own. But since we're on that topic, no copying or spinning of articles okay? Plagiarists will not be tolerated.
Ostentatious articles are welcomed with the same compassion and anticipation as any type of article. In fact, you are encouraged to be as fancy and as flamboyant as you can be. It can be a simple article or it can be wordy. Use the full length of your capabilities and go beyond to stretch your limits. Desiring improvement isn't a dream if we work on it. So let go of your safety net and widen your repertoire and vocabulary.
Reading of articles submitted to the community is highly encouraged. This is a community by writers for writers so who will support us if not ourselves right? We also suggest that you comment so we can keep the interaction going. Leaving a little something behind is of course all up to you.
You! You are the one we are waiting for, so we are taking this opportunity to invite you, nay, to implore you to join us here at the Prompt Factory Community.
Welcome to the Prompt Factory!!
What better way to introduce the community than with a prompt right? This is a prompt that I have seen users are doing as of late. As you can see, there are bold letters at the beginning of each paragraph and what do those letters form? Yes!
P-R-O-M-P-T--F-A-C-T-O-R-Y.
This style of writing is called Acrostic. Known to be used in poems or word puzzles. Acrostic writing uses a character from each line that creates a word, a phrase, or even a sentence. It's quite fun. I have seen @jane and @Ellehcim .
This is a challenge started by @McJulez so, if you decide to use this as inspiration for your next piece, kindly give credit where credit is due.
Anyhow, this is it and I hope to see you within the community.
Cheers!!!
