Love For Money

Hi Prof!

My name is Steve and I just want to seek your wisdom regarding my situation. You see, I am dating this lady named Galeanah Deegah and she's just the most beautiful woman I have ever dated. She got a face of a supermodel and the body of Victoria's Secret angel. I'm saying that not because I'm bragging but I would just like to give you an idea of her. I've sent you a picture of her and her portfolio.

We are set to marry later this year. But here's the thing.

Everyone on my side of the relationship, my family and friends think that she's only in it because of my money. You see, I was a little fortunate that I had built a little empire of hotels around the world. Again, this isn't to brag but my company belongs to the top fortune 500, if you know what I mean. Let's just say that I'm really loaded.

Of course, at first I defended her honor because I know her and I think that she's the love of my life. But then again, her utter reluctance and outright refusal to sign a prenup aren't helping anybody's case. At least not hers.

Can I implore you to weigh in on my situation? What shall I do?

Thank you for reaching out to me. I appreciate the picture you have sent me and I must say, what a lovely lady this Gal Deegah is. She's really something eh? And also, I must send you my gratitude for these gift vouchers you sent me. So I could use them in any hotel under your chain? That's fantastic. Quite generous too. I think I'll be using them next week as I was planning to visit Greece.

Anyway, back to your concern. I have read your side and I wished that I could have known the lady's side as well. Maybe then I can really weigh the facts and all the given. Since I only know what your side stands on, I'll take it that your point is valid. And that doesn't even matter.

Here's what I can say straight up, Don't be a Hypocrite.

It doesn't matter if she's just marrying you for money, I think and I believe that it's okay. As it currently stands, money is a part of you. Being rich is an attribute that you possess. It's just the same way as people being kind. It's just the same thing as people being tall. And it's definitely the same thing as a lady being beautiful or being sexy.

Aren't you also attracted to her because she has the looks and she has the body? Let me ask you a question, if she wasn't that attractive, would you have offered her to marry you? Would you even date her? It goes the same way, I don't think that she would have given you the time of day if you weren't rich.

I guess the best course of action is that you own up being rich as part of yourself. Accept that it's something that you have that people could be attracted to. Now that's speaking for a relationship.

Love however dances to another music aside from this one. Love doesn't really have a reason for attraction and it just happens despite all the things you have or you lack thereof.

I hope that I was somehow able to shed some light on your concern and I hope that your heart finds what it's looking for.
