Accident While Writing

Inspiration, Inspiration, where art thou? I really don't have much energy to write when I'm at home and I'm in bed. I'd rather write tons in the office. That way, I can focus better on the keyboard and on the monitor. But sometimes, it's hard to write in the office too because I can't work with a timer there.

There are always some distractions that will take your mind off of the topic you are writing. Anyway, today, I can't seem to hold a topic down so I just decided to visit another writing club. Maybe they could spark a light inside of me that will make the magic work.

And true enough, I got my motor running as soon as I laid my eyes on the daily prompt they provide. But this one's a bit tricky though. It sounds so Sciencey but there's only 5 minutes on the clock. But I sure do love a challenge. And with that I wrote. The prompt given was "energy production". I would love to elaborate with some Science jargon but I decided to just rant away. And here's what I came up with:

If I could go back in time knowing what I know now, I would definitely gonna try and push through what Tesla tried to do. He died trying to provide the world with a better alternative to energy production instead of buring fossil fuel.

I would urge everybody to not be lazy and to look around because we have all we need in nature to produce renewable and sustainable energy.

The streams of water can produce energy. And if you know Earth, it's major composition is water. And we wouldn't run out of it even if we try.

The wind can also be used to produce clean energy. It's all around us. We just have to build the right equipment to collect it.

And speaking of equipment, we already have equipment to harness the power of the sun to benefit us. The sun's power is virtually infinite and it's free.

Why don't we focus on these avenues and alternatives right? Instead of the costly and limited way we are doing it now.

As it is, the world is held hostage by the businesses and governments whose interests are summarized by greed, power, and money.

This kind of thinking should just be abolished and we shall enjoy the world as it is.

We can power the whole world using the sun alone, why not take advantage of that? We're being stupid. We have an endless supply of renewable and sustainable energy but we are all confined to the costly, inefficient, and limited power of coal.

That's what I was able to write, the second time around. And it's the second time because my first try? I failed tremendously. Nope, I was able to finish in time. But when I was reviewing what I had written I accidentally scrolled too hard and a bit too much that the page was refreshed. And the page I was writing on doesn't have cache memory so everything that I have written down vanished as the page reloaded.

Maaan! I was really frustrated then when the page loaded and it was blank. I was struggling the whole day and when I finally finished a little bit of work, I had it taken away from my very eyes. That was just... ugh!

But there's no sense crying over spilt milk. I took a deep breath and tried to write again. It was just a freaky and stupid accident after all.

Happy Easter 🐣 everyone. I totally forgot to publish this article earlier. I was just so absorbed with doing other stuff that it totally slipped my mind. I genuinely thought that I already hit published when I was online earlier racing some pegas. And speaking of which, they bumped the prize pool per race up to 70 $VIS now. I think that the backlash was a lot.

Anyhow... that's it from me me today and I need to get back at grinding again.
