A Full Stomach and a Charming Smile
I'm just out here with my phone and the most dangerous writing app. The timer is set to 15 minutes and I'm trying to squeeze out one article from my mind.
I am not sure if this could make even a little bit of sense, that's because I'm already seeing double. I don't know if it's from fatigue or is it from the rain. I'm really sleepy all of a sudden.
Before I went inside the bathroom to take a shower, I was alive and all smiles. I was so active. But then, I spent some time under the shower with running hot water, poof. I was so relaxed that my eyelids became a couple of kilograms heavier.
Heavy, yep. That's what I'm feeling right now. Metaphorically and physically. Physcially because I ate a lot of food today. And I mean a lot. And to be fair, I didn't even have lunch.
This morning, when I got into the office, I was so hungry. I usually don't eat breakfast if I don't have anything from home.
I looked over to my side and looked over to my officemate. I smiled at her. I rolled my chair to her and bumped into her shoulders. I swear, I was like the devil on her shoulder and I whispered,
"Hey, have you had breakfast already?"
She said"no" and then I proceeded to nag her to order food with me. And I'd like to think that it's either from my charms or from my power of persuasion that she agreed. One of my coworkers heard us murmuring about food and he also asked us if we could take his order too. And we did.
As we were gathered up on my phone punching our orders, another officemate joined in on the group and also wanted to order. And we did.
We ordered from McDonald's and we ate in peace.
Lunch passed and I skipped it. But just before 1 o'clock, the same guy from this morning wanted to order some halo-halo or you may cool shaved-ice coolers.
And of course, I want in. I ordered one and I saw that they were also offering a snack size palabok, and I wanted that too. So I ordered.
Then later in the afternoon, I rolled over to the same girl and nagged her again to eat some snacks. Her eyes widened as if I heard her tummy's secret messages and she agreed. Again, it may have been because she's hungry too, but I'd like to think that it has something to do with my charms. Lol.
Speaking of which how do you know exactly if a person is charming? Is it something with the physical appearance? Or is it more with the attitude?
Do you consider yourself charming? I know that sometimes people refer to a person's charm as something like a trait or attribute. I mean, a beautiful set of eyes can be considered a person's charm. A cute and attractive dimple can be a charm too. What exactly is charm?
And how do you know if you or a person is charming?
Well, I guess that's a question for another night because I'm losing the battle with my eyelids. I think that I'm about to concede.
Have a great night!
Hey!!
And it's another installment to our freewriting sessions. I'm just satisfied that I was able to spit up some words to make some sentences. I really don't know though if each sentence is connected to the next or even to the previous statement.
Also, this is as raw ss it gets so you may see a lot of errors here, grammatical or even logical. As a matter of fact, I encourage you to look.
I implore you to point out the errors and if they are justified, I will definitely be grateful to you and I'll try to show you my gratitude. So go ahead, read and correct me when I'm wrong. :)
That's it from me and I hope that you have a good night now.
Sweet dreams!
