Sup, how’s your day? What’s making you frown today? The price of crypto? Oh, come on, that’s just a phase. Nothing is permanent and we will still expect a better-looking market, maybe not tomorrow, but soon. For a while, just continue using your skills to earn. All of the hard work will pay off.
Anyway, I have no specific topic to discuss today. So expect a random article ahead. I can’t do anything about it since these past few days there are no significant happenings in my life, except for the fact that someone cheated on me. Well, I will not discuss that today. Maybe next time when I am able to compose myself.
Happy Father’s Day!
My mother woke me up early to ask for my assistance. I am glad she did because I was trying to get out of my bed as early as possible. But due to my ruined body clock, I am having difficulty achieving it.
Moving forward, she woke me up for the reason that she wants me to help her in preparing the Caldereta. This is one of her special dishes, and she thought this was great to prepare since today is Father’s Day. Aside from that, she said that we seldom eat pork and she misses the taste of it.
At around 9 am she finished cooking. We are waiting for the customized cake my mother ordered online so we can finally have our lunch. To be honest, I am kind of tempted to eat because the Caldereta is arousing my nose and appetite 😆.
Several minutes later, we heard someone knocking at our door — the cake is here!
You may ask why the design is a motorcycle? Just a little background story; my father was a cyclist back then. He has already gone too far in places like Baguio. The most amazing part of that is he traveled all by himself. Later on, when he acquired a problem with his knee and foot muscles, he decided to temporarily halt his adventures. But he decided to buy a motorcycle to continue traveling to different places without exerting too much of his energy.
Kung dati siya lang mag-isa, ngayon naisasama na nya si mama sa mga lugar na napupuntahan nya. Sana all hahaha.
Although my father is not verbally expressive, I can see in his eyes that he's happy with our effort. As they say, eyes can't lie.
We ate our lunch while sharing some good laughs. Hays, how I wish we are always like this.
Happy Birthday Dr. Jose Rizal!
Today, we are also remembering the 161 anniversary of the birth of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.
He's one of the heroes who didn't use violence in fighting for the country. He used his skills in writing to revive Filipino's patriotism and fight for their own independence.
Earlier, CNN Philippines shared a photo containing Rizal's message to the people of Malolos, Bulacan:
"Ang kamangmanga'y kaalipinan, sapagkat kung ano ang isip ay ganoon ang tao: taong walang sariling isip, ay taong walang pagkatao; ang bulag na tagasunod sa isip ng iba, ay parang hayop na susunod-sunod sa tali."
"Foolishness is slavery because what the mind is so is man: a man without a mind of his own, is a man without character; the blind follower in the minds of others, is like an animal that follows a leash."
This was written by Dr. Rizal a hundred years ago but it's still relevant up until today; especially since we are living in the disinformation era. People are so gullible with what they read on the internet. And I am afraid that if this will continue, the democracy and independence our ancestors fought for will come to an end.
Final thoughts…
If you reached this part, I just want to say thank you :)). I have no specific topic for today so I thought of merging the two events for this day. The first is Father's day and the second is the anniversary of Jose Rizal's birth. While writing this, a question suddenly popped into my mind—what if Rizal have offsprings?
