Discrimination, or what?
Greetings friends of this great family, here I am hoping that you are doing very well at this time.
There is something that I have been seeing lately in videos and it has caught my attention enough to write about it.
Technology nowadays is at everyone's fingertips and we very often see stories and watch videos about people who have been recorded doing heroic acts and also many doing vile acts.
So many videos are recorded that, when people want to harm others, they are discovered because somewhere someone was recording the scene, as well as it also happens with recorded videos of people doing humanitarian acts.
And I am not referring to the reality shows but to those videos taken occasionally or accidentally. These are the ones I want to refer to. I have seen how in many countries’ videos are recorded of scenes where there is discrimination, not only with Spanish speaking people but with people who perform various tasks.
Recently I saw a video where English-speaking people reproached the owner of the restaurant for speaking in their native language, that they should only speak in English. He was referring to the owner of a fast-food restaurant who was Mexican and the ladies asked him not to speak Spanish in their country.
Sometimes we are very offensive and we use our gray hairs to get on top of others. My way of seeing things is more open. I grew up in a Spanish speaking country and when our economy was doing so well many immigrants from different countries came over here, they spoke their respective languages and made colonies or clubs where they met.
Chinese, Japanese, Germans, Italians, Portuguese, Indians and from many other lands came to this country looking for a better way of life and they got it. We are not people who discriminate, we are kind people and we support those who come to this country.
I make this remark because I see nothing wrong with people speaking their language as long as it is not to address another person who will not understand it. We have our mother tongue and a second language depending on the country that welcomes us, that does not mean that we will forget our language, culture and roots.
The authority gave the reason to the owner of the restaurant who asked the ladies not to return to his restaurant because the atmosphere there was social and not discriminatory.
I also saw another video where a guy with a Latin demeanor was walking with his dog and the lady on the other side yelled at him and asked him to get his dog out of the way so she could pass. He replied that his dog would not attack hers and that they could both pass but the lady got offended and started yelling that the boy's dog was attacking her and the boy told her not to lie that his dog was not attacking anyone. The lady got to the point that she threw herself on the ground pretending that the dog attacked her.
She did not know she was being recorded and the authorities saw that. I ask myself, why are there older people who abuse others and rely on their age to do harm.
How many people have been unjustly prosecuted because someone swore that they saw it, that they witnessed it and that it was that person and without gathering more evidence in a discriminatory trial, they have been imprisoned for years.
Why do people feel good about hurting others? I do not understand why they do not want to live in peace and try to verbally attack, to separate, to judge, to criticize others without even knowing the details and just to impress that they know what they say or do.
The world is full of people of low character, that instead of leaving good traces, they leave their dark traces along the way. They do not have forgiveness, they do not have acceptance with others, they impose themselves on the judgments and ways of life of others.
There are many people who cannot live a life in peace and do not let others live in peace either. I don't know what kind of personality you approve of but I prefer to live peacefully without doing harm and help those I can while I can. Without interfering with anyone's way of life no matter how eccentric it may seem to me. It is the life others choose to live and I chose mine.
Thank you, friends, for reading and I look forward to reading your comments on the subject, thank you very much.

I feel so sad at the level of ignorance and hate a person has for the next person who is quite different from them in some ways. I don't see discrimination ending anytime soon as long as humans see things differently, but it will be a glad thing if there will be a way to purge this people of such bad character.
