Hop.Cash - How to use 2-way Bridge for Conversion of BCH and SmartBCH

SmartBCH has been getting many users lately. A lot of newbies and the regular users want to invest into the smartBCH chain. There are plenty of tokens that are worth investing into. Many of them can be used for farming and the liquidity or simply even for holding the coin purpose.

However before we even do all of that we have to think of the means to convert our smartBCH from the BCH. And similarly during the exit from the investment we have to think of converting the smartBCH into the BCH. So the 2 way bridge is something that is a necessity.

Previously I covered the topic that means for similar purpose. I covered how you can use many other similar sites for conversion from BCH and smartBCH. You can check out the article here.

That article covered the generic means for the conversion. And I didn't get on much depth with the article for conversion to and from the assets that are out in the market. So this article I want to specifically cover the hop.cash swap portal.

So let's take a step by step approach to see how you can exchange BCH to smartBCH and vice versa.

Things to do: First you need to setup the Metamask app, if you want to use mobile app that would be lot better as you would be able to use it lot easier. You can also use desktop metamask through browser things would pretty much the same when it comes to setup.

After you setup the smartBCH network on the Metamask using either the manual method or the chainlist. You can easily be able to connect to various portals, DEX and the swap sites that would help you with the various transactions that you could do here.

Now first go to the hop.cash it should look like the following image in the browser be it on mobile or on desktop.

You will see the screen that looks something like this. You get to connect your wallet to the smartBCH network and also get to connect the wallet to the hop.cash network.

Once you connect the wallet next part comes in when you want to make use of the bridge for one of the two operations.

• BCH to smartBCH Conversion

• smartBCH to BCH Conversion

You have to pick from one of the two and then proceed for further transactions.

Few things that you should know that.

If the transaction is under 1 BCH then you would find that the bridge would work in under 1 minute and will confirm within 2 confirmations or so.

If the transaction is over 1 BCH and below 50 BCH then it would take around 3 confirmations and should work within few minutes.

As for the bridge that does the sBCH conversion, you would find that the transaction window is around 10 seconds onwards.

Keep the page of transaction active while the transaction is processing. If you close this page and return later the process should resume again.

Like most of the swap service which has it's own liquidity the same pool balance exists for both hop.cash and bchcc.cash type of the swap bridges too.

Usually the services like this charge 0.1 percent and onwards for the fee for the service that they are providing.

How much minimum can we send?

From my observation, you should have minimum 0.01 BCH that would necessary to send for the bridge service. You can find out by testing during the market up and down times and you would get the exact number.

Conclusion

Hop.cash is a good bridge that helps you navigate your way around the two blockchains and make it easier for you to swap the BCH and the sBCH through their bridge.
