Touring my city of Caracas.
Greetings and a big hug to all my friends of Read.cash, I hope that the arrival of the month of December has you in high spirits to continue enjoying day by day all that Christmas means. Being here among you is a great pleasure and encourages me to continue writing and participating because I consider that we have made a good friendship. I have learned many things from you and I have learned about your culture, customs, gastronomy and much more.
I have also wanted to show you a little of the city where I live "Caracas", to be specific the center of the city where we all come to do our errands in public institutions and also there are the big stores of clothes, fabrics, decoration, parties, among others.
These days that I have been touring the city I have seen that the city center has undergone several changes but in a positive way, I really liked that and that's why I have taken some pictures of my tour so you can see how a Venezuelan lives and its dynamics.
Bolivar Square, Gradillas Corner
The beautiful Plaza Bolivar in Caracas is very beautiful right now, it is located in the historic center of that city in the Cathedral parish of the Libertador municipality and is surrounded by beautiful buildings that date back to colonial times.
Plaza Bolivar, corner of La Torre
On any side or corner surrounding Plaza Bolivar you will find a beautiful place to relax and rest, towards this corner "La Torre" you will find the beautiful Cathedral of Caracas, where for many years were the remains of the father of the country Simon Bolivar.
San Francisco Church
The church is located between the corners of Bolsa and San Francisco in the cathedral parish of Caracas. Its real name is "Church of the Immaculate Conception" but due to the fact that the Franciscan priests were there, it has been called the Church of San Francisco for several centuries, giving its name to the corner where it is located. Next to it we can find another emblematic building of the city as is the Palace of the Academies and just in front we can see the Palace of the National Assembly of Venezuela, a place where in recent years has become a center of political disputes, so you can constantly observe high custody of military and police.
Venezuelan" Square
This square is located on the corner of San Jacinto, it was recently remodeled and some fountains and benches were placed for people to sit and rest and enjoy a delicious ice cream in the heart of Caracas. In its surroundings you can find the birthplace of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, the Bolivarian Museum and many cafes where you can enjoy a nice conversation with friends or while reading your newspaper.
Archbishop's Palace
It is so called because it served as the residence of the bishops and archbishops of Caracas. It is a building located on the corner of Gradillas and Monjas, right next to the Caracas City Hall. People go there in search of the Catholic Church's promotion such as baptismal certificates, marriage certificates and many other things.
Mayor's Office of Caracas
This is a newly appointed office, this was the former seat of the Governor of Caracas. But for political reasons the name was changed. It is a very beautiful building that holds important treasures of the city. It is located in front of Plaza Bolivar.
Boulevard of Sabana Grande
The Boulevard of Sabana Grande is an important recreational and shopping area located in the parish of El Recreo, municipality of Libertador, Caracas. In recent years tourism has grown exponentially in this sector not only for the recreational areas it offers but also for the technological commerce it offers. If you want to get high-end telecommunication products, there you will surely find all kinds of brands and prices. Don't forget to visit the richest ice cream store in the world called "La Poma".
Petare, Barrio 5 de Julio
Parroquia is one of the 32 Parroquias of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas. More than 2 million people live in this place and although it has always been catalogued as a center of insecurity, good and kind people also converge in the area. I say this because my family and friends have been living there for more than 40 years and have never been in the area.
Before saying goodbye, I would like to thank my sponsors and especially my friend @Infinito for his support and all those who have continued to believe in my work. Thank you @Coquicoin.
Lovely collection of variety places. Captured well. Anybody will love to visit. In school days, I have read about Venezuela. Good now I have someone in Venezuela to know about.
