While I was reading @Bjorn's Everything is Relative article, I instantly thought of the American drama series, The Vampire Diaries. He uploaded photos of the present celebrities who have slightly (or almost) similar facial features from the people in the past. If you have watched The Vampire Diaries, you would know why I thought of that. For others who haven't, Elena Gilbert who was played by Nina Dobrev had many identical versions that have been born over the centuries and she even had a doppelganger in the series. I do not know if doppelgangers do really exists in real life but in movies or series, they do. Take for example President Oscar and Mariano in a Filipino drama series, FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, that is played by Rowell Santiago. LOL. Honestly I do not know how they found the doppelganger of President Oscar as I have not watched it during those times. I was just surprised when I saw that there were already 2 characters played by 1 person.
Even if we do not have someone that is identical to us or that we do not have a twin brother or sister, we all know that God created us equally. Some may be born poor but they are rich in some other things or vice versa. It is not only in physical appearances that we should look into when we talk about similarities because even twins may look identical but their attitude and behaviours may not.
Just like me for instance. When I was on Kiki, a photo blogging platform, I met @Firenze. I was immediately connected to her because of her encouraging words. It was as if she knows what I was going through that time and so I started to always read her posts and I found out that she also had her operation for gallstones. Just before the platform shut down, I found out that she also has a business and quit the corporate world to focus on it. Again we have another thing in common.
Her business is a printing service and I sure was in luck as I was really looking for someone who can print my stickers for my business. I already have my logo even before I met her but I just do not know anyone who can design my sticker labels for me. I found her Facebook page and messaged her right away. Yes I know that there are a lot of other graphic designers that I can find online but I already felt at ease with her even when we were in Kiki. We both have our own business and we both are a one-man team with regards to our business. We both know the struggles with planning, production, seasonal orders and unexpected occurences. Although she is more focus than me and that is where we differ.
When we switched into a different platform, it was around that time when I was hospitalized for appendix (and fallopian tube). When I was recuperating, I posted some of my photos that were taken in the hospital also 2 of my post operation minor surgeries and she told me that she also had her appendix removed. Another thing in common right?
And when we were already getting a little closer because of this platform, read.cash, again I found out that we have another thing in common and that is our debts. Let us also bring in @bbghitte because all three of share the same fate when it comes to credit card swiping and how we have enjoyed our lives before. Now we may be problematic because we are broke but we continue to inspire, push and help each other. We are now in the process of paying all of our debts and we have already learned our lesson from our past experiences. Another thing about our similarities is that we also did join an MLM business in the past. Even if we joined a different MLM company, we all did those power, power, poweeeeer. LOL.
Not only do Firenze and I have had our gallbladder and appendix removed but we both also experience migraines. However my migraine is to the highest level. A lot of similarities don't you think? Have you met someone with whom you felt so connected with that both of you have had some similarities? I suddenly thought of my girl cousin who made me a part of her 18 candles. When she visited the Philippines way back 2007, she showed me a picture of her boyfriend and I told her that they looked the same. They actually really looked the same. She said that someone has also told her about it and even said that it only means that they were meant to be. Back then she only told me that they might looked the same probably because they were always together. Now they are married and have 2 kids and cannot live without each other. My mom and her sisters were just talking about them recently on our group chat because her mom sent us the ring bands that they got for each other for their wedding anniversary.
Going back, Firenze and bbghitte both take awesome photos. Their photography is advance while mine is average and still has room for improvements. Though I know that with a lot of practice and advices from them and our other fellow masters in photography like @Bloghound, @Momentswithmatti, Bjorn and @JLoberiza, I would also be able to enhance my photography skills.
With our similarities, I felt like God has really planned for the three of us to meet online. Our fate with our debts have brought us to where we are right now and I am genuinely thankful for meeting them. Of course I am also grateful to have met other people both in Kiki and here in read.cash and/or noise.cash as I am learning more and more from them. We may all have different statuses or backgrounds in life, we may even have different likes nor dislikes but there is that slight percentage that we are the same just like how Kofi Annan had said it.
We may have different religions, different languages, different colored skin, but we all belong to one human race. We all share the same basic values. — Kofi Annan
