How My Week Turned Out
Published: March 07,2022
In this blog, I will share how my week turned out and how I ended it. Last week was our Veterinary Medicine Week, it was filled with different events such as webinars and interactive events. It lasted for five days to be exact.
The webinars are not really compulsory but we need to sign up for the attendance. A Google form for the attendance was given from the start of the event and before the event ends. Failure to sign up for it will have corresponding fines. It can be in the form of monetary or a task that will be given by the council.
There were a lot of interactive events, majority of it were quiz bees which showcased the wit of the students. It served as a total recap of the learnings from the previous subjects. With all of the quiz bees, I didn't even join one of those. I told myself to take the week to rest my mind and enjoy what the event has to offer.
Photos are not mine. I got it from the Facebook page of the organization.
I joined two interactive events, the VETGO and the Mobile Legends Tournament. The VETGO is almost the same as BINGO but it has a twist. Every number has a corresponding veterinary term that was later discussed by the host. It was so fun and informative. There were also corresponding prizes for each round: 500 pesos for the easy round, 700 pesos for the average round, and 1000 pesos for the final round. For me, it was worth it since we didn't pay anything for the registration. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to win any of the rounds. Maybe my card wasn't really destined to win. Hahahaha.
There were also raffles after the game, my friend who won the average round was also the one to get picked on the raffle. She was just so lucky! She was able to win a tote bag that was going to be sold by the org that organized the event.
I really thought I'm not going to join the ML Tournament but a friend of mine who organized the event messaged me and asked to join. I told him to look for my team members so that I will join.
I was grouped together with 3 women and my classmate Charl. To which I also know but aren't really close to. We conversed in our chat group and we were asked to think of a group name. We ended up with "Yummy Team Kudasai" as our team name. Hahahahaha.
We practiced for a bit a few hours before the game started. Before I forget to tell you, I didn't play ML for months and I downloaded it the day of the tournament. You can just imagine how I struggled getting back on the game. The elimination round was for best of three. We won the first round and got defeated in the second. And unfortunately, we lost. But it was a good game.
I didn't really do much in this year's Vet Week since I find it boring and so tiring. I just enter the Zoom meetings for attendance purposes. I was supposed to visit my friend's boarding house and stay there for our Vet Night but I got lazy and I did not allot money for night outs.
Yesterday, Sunday, I attended the mass together with my cousin and my Lola. Afterwards, we celebrated my friend's 21st birthday. We were at our other friend's house and we had Korean Barbecue for dinner. We contributed to buy the ingredients and had a few drinks before going home. It's the same as usual, updating each other with the latest happenings and getting emotional. Hahahaha. I got home Monday at midnight and just had a talk with my friend over the phone.
Final Thoughts 💬
Sometimes it's best not to attend events for the sake of your sanity and overall your holistic health. Don't think of the fines, no amount of money can give you the rest that you deserve.
It's also nice to catch up with some friends from time to time to avoid burnout.

Even though you didn't win I hope you enjoyed it a lot. Lately I've seen a lot of ads and writings about that game, but I don't really play it.
