Mom's 53rd Birthday

I woke up at the white house and immediately went to our house to greet my mother. After that, I noticed my child watching Tom and Jerry in Youtube. He responded yes when I asked if he had already greeted his Lola. He also claimed that he made his Lola a cake out of lego blocks. Lol

Our friday was just an ordinary day for me. I think the only thing that is special was the foods and seeing Mama happy when she had a video call with her sibling, Aunt Lala.

Actually, they planned to have a small gathering here in our house. But because the Covid-19 active cases are rising, the expected reunion did not happen. I think Mama was a bit sad because she wasn't able to see her siblings for 3 years already. Good thing, she is always online in Facebook and Messenger so they still had a chance to meet each other... (Online nga lang)

At noon, Mama cooked Inihaw na Bangus and Spaghetti. I am so busy so I never had a chance to buy her favorite Pichi-pichi in a local store. Good thing, sister bought a caramel-moist cake online and delivered it to our house. Mama looked so happy when she saw it. She also liked the taste of it. The cake was not really sweet. I also love it. ❤️

At 4' oclock in the afternoon, while everyone at our house was busy with online classes and work, someone knocked on our door. A large bilao of palabok and a chocolate roll cake were provided by our Aunt Susan. Mama received it as a present. When Mama came downstairs and saw it, she was overcome with emotion and expressed her gratitude to them. Papa arrived a few minutes later, bringing Hawaian Pizza with him. Mama was overjoyed with what she saw. She knew she wouldn't be able to enjoy her day because we were all so busy, and the meal she prepared was just meant for lunch.

The day ended so well and good. I hope that Mama's wish will be granted (whatever it is)

Mama, I adore you so much. Even if we have our disagreements and you are always nagging at me, it's okay because I still love you as my most cherished mother. I pray that you will always be guided by God and that you will age gracefully.

It's fine if I'm not your favorite daughter, but I still want to express my gratitude for the food you prepared for us and for always looking after my child.
