Joining the Trend: Squid Game episodes

Today is hump day, so happy hump day everyone ! It's Wednesday and the middle of the week. Others call it a hump day so, I will try to call it myself. Lol.

         SQUID GAME

Have you watch this movie already? I guess you all did and I am the only one falling behind. But guess what? Not anymore lol. Because today I decided to dedicate a full 9 hours movie time to myself just to finish this 9 episode of the very trend Squid Game movie series. I even cancelled my tuitorial session for this one because I don't want to stop and make it linger in my head while doing my session. I actually start watching it while waiting to my other students in the schedule of 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm but she didn't show up so I decided to continue watching it and cancelled my next session, that would be 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Anyways, so much about that. Let's continue, so this movie is everywhere on Facebook and I feel like falling behind whenever my friends would talk about it because I couldn't relate to them. So, it's like a slap to me that I need to watch it though I don't really feel the urge but the necessity to do so is I guess what made me watch it since I already stop watching Korean drama since long years ago. Plus, the article of @Jane buy all my interest to watch the movie. Thanks by the way sis for the link you provided for me. Kamsahamnida 🥰😘.

So, I watch the movie starting around 2:00 pm I guess and I just finish it the moment I type all this. My head is kinda hurt maybe because of my eyes. It's getting too much radiation from the hours spend on watching but no regrets cause it's all worth it. ( I even had a partner watching in between the middle of the series, I guess in the 6th episode, I got Papa with me).

I will just give you a heads up for today's writing I won't give any summary about it because I know you all watch it. Also I don't want to share what I learned, realized nor reflected from the movie because if you wanted to read writings about that visit @Jane Squid Game and life 1.0 articles it's the best to read. Mine would be just simple I would like to give what I did like and dislike about the movie. A sort of movie review.

Oh my God! Why didn't I think of that term earlier? Now I am in the middle of changing my title or not. Hmm? Okay I won't change it. Haha

   "SQUID GAME MOVIE REVIEW" 

Let's start with negative so it would end up positive.

What I dislike?

• The twist

I don't think I like the twist of the movie because I could see none ( on my perspective). I mean I am a movie and a book person and I do know how movie or story move and I could predict. And yes, I did predict it that made me a bit sad and not excited anymore. Though not all of it but mostly I could predict the characters and the next move or flow of the story.

• A lot of holes

Yes there is because I have a lot of questions that left me hanging. Though this at some point are writers strategies to make their stories a bit interesting but for me it's kind of annoying when you couldn't get a whole picture of the movie because there's a lot of hole in it. Like I keep on asking myself "what happened to someone? Where is she/he?" Though it's a good strategy to make people ask for a sequel but for me I like movie that satisfy me though I know I would love to wait or crave for a next episode.

• Ending

I don't like how it end. Though I love the genre of the movie killing, bloody and murderous but how it end was no justice for me. Like I know from the start that Gi hun is the lead character but sabyeok (I don't know how to spell her name or if that's correct) deserve to win too or even put some twist on how she died. And I know from the start that Oh Ilnam is the mastermind of that game, I suspected him which is correct.

What I like?

• Characterization

I love on how they choose characters and how the characters played their roles. I am so satisfied with it, no questions, buts and ifs. They really nailed their skills in characterization. Especially the old ilnam, samgwoon and the sabyeok one (correct me if I am wrong). Lead and supporting characters are well played. Job well done to that.

• Content

I like how they choose a very unique content of the movie. It reflected so much realities in this world that every viewers could get. It was well-chosen also. The games and the actions and reactions of the players, is so much to ponder when life gets tough on us. We could see ourselves that is reflected to the different characters in the movie. It's not the typical movie that I watch Korean or not. I guess I could say Koreans really had always a surprise for us, viewers when it comes to their film industries. They always bring us new and full of lessons to learn.

• Plot

The plot is just perfect. It exceed my expectation of having a simple plot of the story. When we say plot it's the movement of the story. How it starts, get that rising and reached its peak and then fall and got resolve. It's not confusing because there's nothing like so much flashback going on or it even started in the middle. It sail smoothly and end smoothly.

Closing thought

Over all I like the movie if I will rate 1-10 it would be 8.5. I would get so much credit or points to the content, the plot and the characterization because this is the heart of the a story. Much points to the content because it really got people into realization and it is full of realities of the world. The characterization adds up the points. Even though I give some lapses which is only my perspective because there are different types of viewers and that's how I see it. Bonus points to the genre because I love a bloody hell genres lol. I have this savage soul in me. And my soul is satisfied with the killings going on. (That's just in stories and movies okay)
