Four types of giver

Did you know that there are four types of giver? If you don't know and want to know about these types then continue to read my article. It's best to know what type of giver we are, ourselves.

Today I attended another seminar. A teaching activity organize by fellow Singles for Christ in the community of Couples for Christ. Since I already an official member a teaching is needed for me to strengthen my relationship with the Lord. A covenant orientation was held. There are seven speakers for the seven topics. The seventh, is about loving and serving the poor. Serving the poor means giving them. Thus the different types of giver occur.

First is reluctant giver

This giver is always having a second thought whether you give or not to others. This giver tend to give because of doing what they like them to do and give what other needed in return. Sometimes this giver also give if they feel like it. If not then they won't.

Are you this giver or not? I hope not because we must not give half-heartedly. We should give wholely.

Second giver is chooser giver

This giver always choose whom to help. If they think people who ask for help is not worth of helping then this person won't gave anything.

Are you this type of giver or not? I hope not because God don't choose whom to help. Therefore we must not as well.

Third is show off giver

Show off giver gives only because they want to boost their persona, there ego and would give because there are people watching. Someone that tends to want to look good for other people. Anything that could boost themselves.

Are you this type of giver or not? I hope you're not. Because God wants us to give happily. Doing what makes the Lord happy and not just boosting your morale.

Fourth and last is a compassionate giver

This giver is the opposite of them all. Because this giver is not reluctant, do not choose whom to give not show off that they give just to be famous. But this giver give because it's the right thing to do. To help the needy and the poor.

Are you this kind of giver? Then praise God. If not then I hope and pray that give because we received many blessings for the lord.

Conclusion

I, myself can hardly choose what type of giver am I because I am all this type of giver. I am reluctant especially when I only have for my own. I am a chooser as will because I only choose people whom I would love or like to give. If they are not worthy of my help then I won't help. I am also a show off, giving because that's what others did. Sometimes I could be compassionate giver as well. Giving without having second thought. Giving without waiting for any return. Giving even though others won't see it.

We must do the acts of love because that what Jesus modeled us to do. He gives food to the hungry just how he perform his miracle feeding them with just loaves and fish and yet they are full, espiritually and physically.
