The Evil Hair!! - Part 3 (Finale)
The streets were filled with Alex's ear piercing angry calls... "Lexy... Lexy... where are you.. I want you..I need you.. I accept your deal " as he searched for Lexy in the streets...
Alex started to realize it was too late and Lexy had left and leaned on a wall crying.. He suddenly felt a sharp pain on his shoulders and looked to his right where he saw Lexy, the witch biting into his skin. He stood there motionless and after few seconds, the witch lifted her head and Alex saw his own blood on her lips. As and when she took 10 drops of his blood, she immediately turned back into the beautiful dimple faced innocent Lexy and said "Thank you for the deal Alex.. Now I will be young and youthful until the next full moon. Here, take this potion.." .. Alex looked into her hands where she was holding a small bottle that had a dark liquid inside it.
"Take a sip from this potion before asking for what you want to happen Alex.. Take a sip and utter the words that you want to happen and it will happen exactly the same way as you intended. But remember, just one sip for one desire or else... Let's just not think about it okay? be wise Alex, never let your pride and ego take over you..." and she handed the potion to his hand. Alex took it and doubtfully looked at it and at her. Lexy smiled and said, "Check it for yourself" as if she read his doubtful mind.
Alex opened the bottle, took a sip and murmured "I want all my homework and project work be done by now" .. Lexy laughed out loud and said "You are such a nerd Alex..".. Nothing happened for sometime and Alex looked at Lexy and shrugged his shoulders. Alex started walking away when his phone rang... He looked at the monitor and it was Rony... His good friend from the school..
Rony is not Alex's best friend but Rony always feel bad for Alex every time Sam bullies him and even stands for Alex. He picked the phone and said "Rony? are you still awake?" for which Rony replied, "Yeah dude, you left your project book in the class today and I checked it to see if you have completed your work but you did not.. and I saw the group chat where Sam was making fun of you. I just wanted to help you and cheer you up, so I woke up until now and finished your homework. Hope this can make you smile.. the least I could do for you Alex.."
Alex just couldn't believe what was happening to him. I mean, Rony is not even his best friend but just a friend in class. Alex replied "Thanks Rony, highly appreciate it" and he disconnected the call to look at Lexy who is now smiling ear to ear and replied "Good night Alex.. your good time has started, remember to use it wisely!!!" and she vanished into the night. Alex just couldn't wait to go to school tomorrow and was eagerly waiting for the rest of the night to be over. He got up quickly the next day, packed himself some food and ran towards the college and saw Sam standing in front of the class with his boys group. Alex understood that he was waiting for Alex to appear and he saw Gina slowly approaching Sam and they both hugged each other. The mere sight of them hugging killed Alex internally. Alex walked towards his class when Sam and his group noticed this and started making fun of him by grabbing his bag and tearing it and calling him "Server boy Alex!!"
Alex did not want to expose himself of using the potion. So he quickly ran into the toilets and took the potion out, took a sip while uttering "I want Sam and his group beat each other". Alex started to go back to the class when he heard a commotion near his class and quickly went to check it. He could not see anything as there were literally 50 students surrounded a fight. Rony noticed Alex and went near him and smiled and said, "they were taking turns to tear your bag when one of them hit Sam with the bag, that was so unexpected.. All hell broke loose and Sam's besties started hitting him and that guy's friends joined him." Rony laughed aloud and started recording from his phone the entire thing.
After so many days, Alex felt really good looking at Sam suffering and Gina quickly pulled Sam away and separated him from the fighting group. She held him tight to stop him go into the fight again and was treating his wounds with her kerchief. Alex looked around to see nobody was noticing him, took the potion out, took a sip and uttered "Gina should become my girlfriend right now". Sam immediately pulled the kerchief off of her hands and screamed "Don't try to stop me you stupid bishhh". Everyone were shocked and gasped for air for Sam as he never said those things to Gina and she started crying and screamed "I hate you Sam.. Alex is way better than you".
And she quickly came near to Alex and said "will you be my boy friend Alex??" to which Alex quickly said yes as they walked away from the Sam who did not even realize what was happening. Alex used the potion whenever he wanted something to happen, whether good or bad and quickly became one of the most popular kids in the school. He even stopped studying, but started using potion to get good grades, partied all the time, joined groups and did everything he wanted to do before.
As Alex's fame started going up, so as his pride.. Alex started behaving exactly like how Sam used to do, even with Gina. He started cheating on her forgetting how much he loved Gina before all this...Gina even realizing this but couldn't leave Alex because of the potion, because it is not her decision now, it is Alex's.. Gina slowly went into deep depression because of Alex. Alex knew about Gina's unhappiness and he cheated more to get back at her for all the times she was with Sam ignoring him.. One day, Rony approached Alex and he started a conversation about how Alex has changed so much in past few months and how he was going downhill... Rony advised so much to Alex and narrated how he used to be an innocent sweet boy but now all he see in him is a monster, much worse than Sam ever was and Rony walked away telling Alex that he would never hang out with him again.....
Alex hated Rony for advising him.. in a fit of rage, he took the potion out in his hands, took one sip and said..."How dare him? who do you think he is? he is a nobody, I'm the most popular kid here. Nobody disrespects me like that..well if he wants to leave me, he better leave for good.. I don't want to see his face ever again". And he went on with his usual business.. The next day, he went to school as usual and did not find Rony in any class... "That's better" he thought. A couple of hours went by when there was an announcement on the speaker that said that the school announced holiday for the rest of the day and kids can go to their homes. Nobody said anything other than that and Alex took a sip from the potion and demanded a teacher to tell him the truth and he said,
"Rony met with an accident yesterday evening. He was taken into the emergency and he passed away a couple of minutes ago"... So we announced holiday for the school as nobody was in a mood to teach today..
Alex's world shattered underneath his legs as he started realized what he had done.. "what have I become? I allowed my pride and ego go too far that I killed somebody today.. I'm the worst.. worst than Sam.. worst than any monster.." Alex's thoughts were interrupted when Gina came and said "we are going to hospital to say final abide to Rony and console his parents, are you coming with us??". Alex reluctantly accepted and they all reached the hospital. There were already a huge crowd.
Alex and his mates reached Rony's room.. He saw Rony, the lifeless body of Rony and the worst case is that Rony's face was disfigured in the accident.. just the way Alex wanted, he did not want to see Rony's face ever again.. no matter alive or dead... and it happened. Alex fell on his knees and bursted out crying very loudly.. "Rony.. oh no Rony.. am so sorry" and everyone was surprised to see Alex's emotion for Rony like never before. Gina took Alex out of the room as he was crying so loudly asking for forgiveness for what??? she wondered.
Gina took him to an isolated room and told him "Please Alex, console yourself. what happened to you? let me go bring some water to you.." and she left the room. Alex was on his knees again, buried his head into his hands and curled up crying aloud when somebody touched his shoulders.. he looked up and saw Rony, standing in front of him.. smiling at him, perfectly fine..
"Rony.. omg Rony.. are you fine? I'm so sorry.. forgive me Rony.. forgive me..I was too blinded by my pride.. my ego, I let my demons take over me.. I'm a monster. You do not deserve this.. forgive me Rony, am so sorry" Alex hugged Rony as he asked for forgiveness and bawling loudly. Rony looked at Alex and smiled "Make things right again Alex..wake up Alex.... at least now.." and vanished right in front of his eyes.. "I promise you Rony.. I will". Alex thought to himself as he walked out of the hospital while Rony was watching him from a corner, smiling at the changed Alex..
Alex reached his house, took out he potion, took a sip and said out loud.. "I want to undo all the evil things I have done..." and he went to school next day to notice Sam was still bullying new students with his group like no fights happened.. Gina was hugging Sam.. and Alex is again become the sore loser nerd that everybody call him.. Alex searched for every nuke and corner of the building to find Rony but he did not see him anywhere... He realized Rony was still dead and He went into toilet and took the potion out, took a sip and asked for the witch to appear in front of him and Lexy immediately did.
Before Alex even ask anything, Lexy replied "You can't undo death Alex..". Alex's body filled with anger and he took the whole potion and acted like he is going to shatter it on to the floor. Lexy calmly replied "this is not going to help anybody Alex. Our deal is still a deal, whether you like it or not.. if you break the potion bottle, you are still in the pact with me...it is your fault you let your pride take over you, I warned you about this Alex.. you are at fault.. and I'm actually thinking to find someone new to make a new deal with.. because you are not the sweet innocent selfless human that I remember Alex.. you failed me" and smiled at him.
Alex was shocked to hear all those words, if it isn't for her stupid offer at first place, none of this would have happened to him or Rony.. Poor Rony...Alex opened the bottle and looked at the witch and said "well if I can't break the pact, I can break myself..let your hair kill me first and then you..so that nobody will suffer like this anymore...." and drank the whole potion at once while Lexy looked at him in horror.
Lexy's beautiful hair which was loosely flying in the hair suddenly turned into a braid and took Alex's neck into it's grip.. "why did you do it Alex?? why??" Lexy screamed as the hair which has a life of it's own tightened his neck, surrounded his entire body like a huge snake, snapped him within a second, instantly killing Alex... Lexy's hair slowly turned towards Lexy and hissed as it slowly started to approach Lexy as she watched it take control over her in horror...

And the story completes here folks, sorry for the super long climax. Hope you all liked it.. The lesson we learn is, "Never forget our roots, no matter how far we grow in life, always stay humble and down to earth. And never let pride, joy or ego take over your original character.. stay the sweet and innocent human that you are forever..."
