Welcome to the new week all you wonderful readers. Summer is well truly over in the UK and we are in Autumn mode and soon the clocks will be moving an hour. It seems to me that this year is just flying faster and faster! We are almost halfway through October already, Halloween is fast approaching, do you celebrate Halloween? It seems to be getting more and more commercial and becoming a big money grab for shops, but they need it in this pandemic with all the lost revenue they have had.
Actually while we are on the subject of Halloween let me show you a certain Mr and Mrs Bones π
I saw them in a shop at the weekend whilst I was out shopping. Darn they did tickle me big time. So much do that of course I just had to snap a couple of pictures as you do.
What do you think of them?
Cute huh or scary, what do you think... And I would guess that Mrs Bones colours her hair or is a lot younger in years than Mr Bones, judging by their hair colour. I was very nearly tempted to get them and put them in my home office, but I didn't as I did realise that I have enough junk already in there without cluttering the place up even more!
Do you say Potato or Potatoe?
Well it doesn't matter really does it.. it is just pronunciation after all, who really cares what it sounds like as long as it is tasty , delicious and most importantly fills up your tummy.
And of course it does come in many forms and varieties to eat. For example, you can boil them, cut them up into chips and fry them in a chip pan or air fryer. You can roast them in goose fat, a must at Christmas βοΈ. You can even pop some big ones in to the oven and have a jacket potato or two, I do like a jacket potato covered in tasty spicy pinto beans. Or you can mash them and have with butter and salt and pepper. Then there are crisps or chips some people call them. But chips are chips that you have with fish to us in the UK. Crisps are what come in a wee packet. So there you go, don't get your chips and crisps confused. Anyway the way you can eat potatoes is quite a long list, and all are tasty to me. I know I know you prefer rice as your staple.
A new kind of potato π₯ for me
So as the title says I got me some free potatoes. Did I get a knock on the door and get given a free bag of potatoes I hear you ask.
Well no, I didn't. Spuds, tatties, what do you call potatoes?
It is a coin!
I never seem to have much luck with twitter airdrops or giveaways to be honest, but I saw on a tweet a few days ago that they were giving away some POTA to 20 users. Well I did what was asked and forget about, until I got that message in the picture above this morning.
Proof
They were true to their word and that is proof they sent 100,000 POTA to my Metamask wallet. So much POTA that I don't know what to do with it all. I know is not much at all, probably only a couple of dollars worth, but it is fun to win something nevertheless.
Do you enter giveaways and airdrops?
Do you have much luck with them?
I tend to go through spells of entering them, often when I am bored, but I missed all the CATS and KITTENS that people seem to have gotten.
Likewise these presales I seem to miss, although I did get some milk from mueslie. Not sure if I spelt that right or not.
Anyways as with anything in the cryptoverse, always make sure that you do your own research before you make any kind of investment!
