Author: SequoiaActually, I was planning to just spend this day reading articles due to the reason that I ran out of topic to write and share with you guys. I am also thinking to give my brain a break, since I’ve been abusing it for these past few days already. And I also read the article of @ExpertWritter about giving our brain a vacation. Here’s the link to her article.
However, I remember that my co-author @CrazyRichFilipina tagged me about a specific challenge two days ago. And this is about choosing random beauty contest question and answer it in a beauty queen way.
I actually have hesitation in doing this. Why? Well, first I am not good in answering. Second, I am not a beauty queen. Okay I am just making some lame excuses. Please bear with me. My brain is wandering again and that is the reason why I am having unorganized thoughts again. I just hope that I can pull it off. I only pick three random questions to answer.
Anyways, let’s start.

Question number 1: Tell me about yourself.
This actually cracks me up. I mean, I have been practicing to answer this question in front of the mirror for a while now, because I was looking for a job and it is the common question that the interviewer will ask you. But I don’t think that I should answer this question herein that way. So, I’ll make it more simple and personal.
I am not yet ready to expose my first name, so I will just give the first letter of it.
Hello everyone, I am N by the way, 21 years of existence and happily taken. Lol. Kidding aside, I am an incoming 4th year college student. I was raised by strong and amazing mom in the whole world. Writing has been my hobby ever since when I was a kid. That is why, I am just so thankful in this platform for helping me pursue my passion in writing and also awakened my reading mojo (Please let me borrow your word @TengoLoTodo hihi ). I love dogs and cats, in fact we have three dogs in our house and 4 cats as well. I love making friends, but there are times where I would prefer to be alone. My greatest strength is that, I am a very flexible person. I can easily adapt and adjust to my environment especially if there’s a need to. On the other side, my greatest weakness is being a procrastinator. But I am working on it by the help of this platform as well. I hate to be called stick. Well, my body really looks like a stick, literally. They always mock me for being skinny and flat chested. Little did they know, I am even more blessed because of having two backs. Anyways, that’s me.
Question number 2: Tell us about your biggest disappointment and how you bounced back from it.
My biggest disappointment as far as I can remember is listening to other people’s opinion about my skin and face back then. If you are reading my articles for a while now, you surely know that I am dealing with a lot of pimples in my face. I was so insecure with myself, especially my face for having a lot of pimples. I always hide my face with my hair before because of too much shyness. I let my insecurity eat me and tried a lot of beauty products to my face, that eventually leads to more breakouts and make my face look even worst. I came to the point of my life where I disconnect myself from everyone. But everything changed when I encounter the love of God and it was His love that made me see my worth and value again. He shows me my real identity and I am fearfully and wonderfully made. It was really Him who lifted me up and showed to me the beauty of my brokenness and scars. I started to accept and love myself the way I really deserved. I accepted my flaws and imperfections. Later on, I meet people who really accept me for who I am and love me purely. I have learned in that experienced that, if you really want others to see your worth, please start with yourself first. Love yourself, treasure yourself and care for yourself. Everything else will follow.
Question number 3: Is social media bringing people together or causing separation?
Social medias were actually made to connect people from different places and for easy and faster communication and dissemination of information. It’s real function, is to be a tool to have a better and more connected world. And we cannot really deny the fact that it really served its purpose. As you can see, we can now communicate and build friendship with other people despite of our locations. However, social media also became the reason of disconnection of people to their family and loved ones. Based on my experience, I’ve seen how social media created a gap between me and my mother. I can’t even give her the attention that she deserves because I was so occupied by these SocMeds. Yes, maybe I am connected to the world, but I lost my connection with my world-my mom. But I am glad that I get to know readcash and diverted my attention in here. This platform helped me organized my time very well and was able to spare enough time to reconnect again with my mom.
