I do admit, this is really out of date these days. No mentions of which Miner is suitable since half of them need an ASIC, Monero is now on the RandomX algo, and other small mistakes.
Of course, if you have extra money, invest in mining. If you have experience in trading and analytics, make money on the exchange. If there is nothing, then master the investment in the crypto, if there are losses, then without knowledge they will be minimal.
But Monero being a CryptoNight algo? It's now running RandomX, pal.

Mining will live, but the main development of cryptocurrencies will go to the exchange.
Mining is costly and out of reach to many of the simple mortal beings. Luckily there are still some profitable coins out there this year that could worth the trouble, but not many though.
For those who do not have extra money, I would advise you to start with an investment and fix your profits in time for a change in the exchange rate.
i can understand mining cryptos like ETC...but mining BTC isn't that profitable anymore. it's very expensive
