An autopsy will show: most patients with coronovirus do not die of pneumonia.

Autopsy of patients who died from COVID-19 began around the world, and the results confused physicians. It seemed that not all pneumonia caused death. Moreover, the majority did not show any changes in the lungs at all. According to the Japanese, half of all passengers on the infamous Diamond Princess airliner, who had an asymptomatic form of coronavirus, just discovered lung damage.

Earlier, German authorities forbade the opening of coronavirus deaths for fear of mass infection of doctors, but the German Society of General Pathology and the Federal Union of German Pathologists insisted on an autopsy, Octagon Media writes today. Pathologists believe that this will help in developing an effective treatment for the disease.⠀

They are trying to understand what kind of harm the coronavirus does to the body.⠀

Pathomorphologists at a university clinic in Swiss Basel revealed that all who died from coronavirus had hypertension, most were overweight, more than half had problems with their heart and blood vessels, and every third suffered from diabetes. But pneumonia was in a minimal amount.⠀

Doctors believe that patients were suffocating because they had a violation of microcirculation in the lungs due to a violation of oxygen metabolism. Give oxygen as much as you like, it will still not move through the body with such a violation, doctors say.⠀

Similar results were obtained by German colleagues: most have blood pressure, many cases of heart and vascular diseases, 50% of kidney, liver, or organ transplant diseases, obesity, and diabetes. Moreover, almost 80% had serious lung diseases before. This was confirmed by Italian scientists and researchers at the University of Zurich. It is noteworthy that back in March, Chinese researchers came to the conclusion that most of those who died with COVID infection were affected not only the lungs, but also other organs.⠀

Tereshchenko advised everyone who is at risk - people with cardiovascular disease and diabetes, to be especially careful.⠀
