It's okay to Cry
May 21st, 2022.
It's actually okay to cry, there are times you will feel overwhelmed and even weighed down. It wont hurt if you cry. But there will be tears and sometimes no it doesn't mean that you're weak. You can't always bottle up your emotions even if you think it'll go away tomorrow.
Sometimes, you feel like crying but you are afraid of what people might think. You don't want to be seen as weak. Sometimes, you will cry despite your efforts to hold it in. That's okay. Crying doesn't make you a weak person. Life isn't easy sometimes, there will be times when you will feel sad and when that happens, it's okay to cry.
The world is a roller coaster of emotions, not all of them are pleasant. Sometimes you need to let them out and sometimes you don't.
I was in the front row at this show for an event for Lupus LA and the show ended with a video with Lupus patients and survivors talking about their experiences with the disease and how it has impacted their lives.
One of the women asked people to join her in a dance to celebrate their journey fighting lupus. The music started and it got me hype, I couldn't help but dance and sing along. When I finished singing along, I immediately began to dance at first but instead of whipping my hair back and forth, I let out a single tear. It wasn't until later that night that I realized I cried. Rather than tell myself it was okay or wipe my tear away, I embraced it.
The world is not always a nice place. There are bad people out there and sometimes the bad people will hurt you. It is okay to cry because sometimes you will get hurt – that's just how life works. It is alright to be vulnerable. And even if you decide to appear strong on the outside, inside, you are allowed to feel whatever it is that you are feeling.
When the pressure is high or the struggle is real, just do everything you can to relax, take a deep breath and then cry for a minute or two. You can't be at your best when you're holding in your emotions. Letting go doesn't mean you're weak it just means you're strong enough to face your reality.
Sometimes you'll feel lonely, or scared, or upset, but it is okay to cry, it will help you let go of your feelings and when you do, you'll feel better and the tears will show you that they can help you return to your normal self.
When something bad happens, you may start crying if this is something very important to you. You can't help but cry, because of something that has happened to someone that you love, or a friend, or even a family member.
It's okay to be happy and sad at the same time too. Sometimes you feel happy because something good has happened, and other times you just feel sad and want to cry, but they're two different emotions.
Life can be so frustrating and sometimes unbearable. But know that throughout our lives we will go through valleys and peaks. We will experience beautiful moments and horrible moments. It's okay to cry because sometimes hurting is the best way to heal.
Know that the pain is temporary and won't last forever; it may seem like the pain will rule over you forever but it won't. There will come a time when relief comes and happiness abounds.
Don't let negativity ruin your life because it won't last forever, eventually your day will come when everything falls into place and you'll realize that things aren't as bad as they seem right now.
Somewhere along the way, we've been made to believe that crying is a sign of weakness or a sign that you can't handle it.
Sometimes people try to comfort us by telling us not to cry when we're sad because soneone will see us and think we're weak.
You can't always bottle up your emotions. It's okay to let go of your tears because at the end of the day, happiness is being able to let go of things that no longer serve you.
Realizing that the world is too much to handle is a challenging but necessary part of personal growth. If you are feeling a lot lately, it is okay to cry, in whatever way makes sense to you. It hurts, I know, it hurts a lot. But let's face it, you are strong enough. Life is so hard and not everyone will understand it. That's okay, you will endure and make your own way on this path called life.
A lot of people hide their tears, so others won't see it.. Some even stop themselves from crying but if u ask me, its just okay to cry
