Important guidelines in life.

It was the beginning of another week yesterday but it was as if the day was projected to keep me busy all through as I needed to get some things done before today. I couldn't even engage online and I would like to apologize if I didn't reply your comments or visited you. I will do that once I am free today. Thanks always for understanding me.

I saw an image on my WhatsApp status stating some guidelines that are important to us which we must adhere to, to live a fruitful life.

If you are alone, mind your thought

I have always been occupied so much with negative thoughts when I am alone and I can feel it's a bad vibe to the rest of the day. When we are alone, we are left with different thoughts coming to us especially those of negativities. We find ourselves not been able to perform some things because we think our abilities cannot do it. At that moment, we are left only to look down on ourselves and conclude, no hope. We need to be cautious of what we think and immediately diverting those bad thoughts to good ones.

When you are with friends, mind your tongue.

Our tongues is so powerful that it can make or mar us. We are defined by what we speak out and it will be good for us to control our tongues when we are with people. It is good to practice listening skill as this would help us. Whatever you say will be used against us. So, mind what you say so you don't end up being in trouble.

When you are angry, mind your temper

Anger issue is everywhere in us and it is normal to get angry when we are trying to stand on our words which others aren't seeing it that way. When the anger has gone beyond the normal level, then it destroys us and things around. One will say, to control your anger, count from one to ten. This would help you mind your temper not to misbehave. It is easier to get angry and destroy things but very hard to bring them together especially when your anger makes you speak harshly. Our words are like egg which when broken cannot be gathered again.

When you are with a group, mind your behavior.

Behavior is the sum total of our feelings, actions and emotions. Our behaviors speaks a lot about us and as they say "first impression last longer." It is expedient for us to control our behaviors and this is why we need to learn good way of approaching or talking to someone.

There are different kinds of people everywhere and not everyone will be able to decode your personality in a positive way. Some are quick to conclude things seen in us while others would want to understand because of how close they are to you and how they have studied you. When you are with a group of people especially strangers, it's good to comport yourself and control your behavior.

When you are in trouble, mind your emotions.

Many of us are too swift in concluding things about us especially when we are going through a difficult situation. When we are in trouble, we need to be calm in finding a solution to get out of it instead of throwing yourself on the ground with no idea on how to get out of it. When we give up during troubles, we are weaker but we need to be strong to face them and also maintain our patience.

When God starts blessing you, mind your ego.

There was a story I heard from the general overseer of RCCG. He said there was a man who was poor and would always attend church service, praying to God to bless him. God did blessed him and ever since then, he stopped coming to church because he kept giving excuses of not having time and so busy.

If we are not careful, the ego in us will damage things. Many of us tend to forget others when they are blessed. When someone becomes rich, they neglect others who have been with them even when they were poor. This is why some would go back to being poor after they were rich because their ego had lead them to destruction. Many people just need to be tested with a little amount to see how they react. It is better to remain poor than being rich and returning back to the old state.
