Don't forget to read the Continuation of my story which @George_Dee takes over here
Some days ago, I was reading some articles when @Bjorn article inspired me and I have been wanting to write on it before now but I guess this would be a good day to write on it.
The quote by Cesar Chavez is not far from the old Bible saying, “If someone throws a stone at you, throw a piece of bread.”
LET'S LOOK AT A STONE AND BREAD AS AN EXAMPLE HERE
Have you ever thrown a stone at a person before? How does the person feel? Okay, can you do me a favor? Pick a small stone and hit your forehead or any part of your body. How do you feel? Just imagine hitting yourself with a small stone, you feel so hurt and it pained right? Now take a big stone and hit someone with it? You know the pain the person would be in right?
Now, we have seen how strong a stone is. Stone is hard. Stone hurts. It injures and so on.
What about Bread? Have you eaten a fresh bread before? How does it look? Soft isn't it? When you squeeze a bread, you will see its softness and not hard at all.
"If someone throws a stone at you, throw a piece of bread"
Stone means hatred, Bread means love
It is hard when someone hates you and it is soft when you choose to love such a person. In life, we would always see those who hate us, even if we do not see them, not everyone will choose to love you. Some are actually planning to hurt you and set a trap for you. The best revenge you could ever do is to be like a bread which connotes love and peace. Choose to let peace reign by loving those who hates you. Jesus said "love your enemies and be good to them"
Yes, it is so hard to know who your enemies are and you choose to love them for what they have done to you. Believe me, that is the greatest revenge ever.
Bread is like forgiveness
Just because someone is keeping grudges against you doesn't mean you should retaliate too. That is not a good way at all. Learn to forgive others because that is the only way God can forgive you too. Just imagine your grievous sin against God and He still chose to accept and forgive you back, how much more is forgiving your fellow human being. We shouldn't act the same way they are doing to us, because if it turns that way, everywhere would be chaos and no unity and peace.
Smile at them and let your mind be free completely. This is when you will realize that peace lives within you.
Show kindness and do not try to revenge because you may also be hurting yourself in that process.
Being kind to someone is like doing yourself a huge favor because one day, the good you have done will always return back to you in folds. You don't have to bring out the bad side of you just because you wanted to prove who you are. Be calm and wise in dealing with people because some would only want to test your patience and when you have given in to them, they blame you for everything. Be kind and generous to people around you. Extend your helping hand to the one who needs help and do not pay evil with evil. No, don't do that.
I believe we would keep practicing this act even as we have started a new month. God will definitely reward us for such act because that is what He has always wanted us to do.
Thank you for reading

How beautifully you symbolized Stone with hatred, and bread with love, I hope everyone could understand this, that the good we are doing will come back to us soon. So always be lenient with others. I have read the story you started in beautiful way, of next door neighbour and how amazingly George dee has ended it. Well done.
