What I need to know Hello Family members, you need to know how to cook because I love food.... Lolzzzzzz, you must have been wondering what kind of the title is this: What I need to know. The question will now be what I need to know where? I want to introduce you to what to start with for coding. There are different types of developers like Software developers, Android Developers, etc; out there using different languages like HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript, Java, etc. For a software developer, you can be a Front-end or Back-end developer or a Full Stack(Both Front-end and Back-end developer). Majorly, I will be dwelling on the front-end development. First, you will need to install Visual Studio Code, Google Chrome on your System. so to start with; I'm going to be defining some terms and explaining more about them **What is Web Design?** ● Design is the process of collecting ideas, and aesthetically arranging and implementing them, guided by certain principles for a specific purpose ● Web Design is a similar process of creation, with the present content on electronic web pages, which the end-users can access through the internet with the help of a web browser. **Elements of Web Design** ● Layout: This is the way the graphics, ads, and text are arranged. ● Colour: The choice of colors depends on the purpose and clientele; it could be simple black-and-white to multi-colored, conveying the personality of a person or the brand of an organization, using web-safe colors ●Graphics: Graphics can include logos, photos, clip art, or icon all of which enhance the web design. ● Fonts: The use of various fonts can enhance a website design. Most web browsers can only read a select number of fonts, known as "web-safe fonts". ● Content: Content and design can work together to enhance the message of the site through visuals and text. Written text should always be relevant and useful. **what is HTML?** ● HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language ● HTML describes the structure of Web pages using markup ● HTML elements are the building blocks of HTML pages ● HTML elements are represented by tags ● HTML tags label pieces of content such as "heading", "paragraph", "table", and so on ● Browsers do not display the HTML tags but use them to render the content of the page **What is CSS?** ● CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets ● CSS describes how HTML elements are to be displayed on the screen, on paper, or in other media ● CSS saves a lot of work. It can control the layout of multiple web pages all at once ● External stylesheets are stored in the CSS file **What is JavaScript?** ● JavaScript is the programming language of HTML and the Web ● It adds interactivity to web pages ● Web pages are not the only place where JavaScript is used. Many desktop and server programs use JavaScript. Node.js is the best known. Some databases, like MongoDB and CouchDB, also use JavaScript as their programming language **Setting Up** 1) Create a template folder at a location on your system 2) Inside the folder, create a folder for your CSS and image files 3)Create a template.html file using a text editor(Visual Studio Code) of your choice settings **Using the Template** ● For each project we want to create we can simple the template folder and work with it ● The template.html file will also be renamed as the need arises ● The template.html file gives us a clean place to start from every time we want to create a web page Using the Template MODIFY YOUR TEMPLATE Understanding the Template file ● The<!DOCTYPE> declaration must be the very first thing in your HTML document, before the HTML tag. Press SHIFT+1 on your keyboard to bring out the declaration. ● The declaration is not an HTML tag; it is an instruction to the web browser about what version of HTML the page is written in Understanding the Template file ● The <html>tag tells the browser that this is an HTML document ● The<html> tag represents the root of an HTML document ● The tag is the container for all other HTML elements (except for the<!DOCTYPE>tag) Understanding the Template file ● The <head>element is a container for all the head elements ● The<head> element can include a title for the document, scripts, styles, meta information, and more ● The head supports other tags such as <style>, <base>, <link>, <script>, <noscript>. ●Metadata is data(information) about data. ●The <meta> tag provides metadata about the HTML document. Metadata will not be displayed on the page. ●Meta elements are typically used to specify page description, keywords, author of the document, last modified, and other information. ●HTML5 introduced a method to let web developers take control over the viewport(the user's visible area of a web page), through the <meta> tag. ●The <title>tag is required in all HTML documents and it defines the title of the document. ●The <title> element defines a title in the browser toolbar ●This provides a title for the page when it is added to favorites. ●This also displays a title for the page in search engine results. CREATING YOUR FIRST WEBPAGE ● Copy your template folder ●Rename your copy of the template to the folder to first_webpage. ●Go inside the folder and rename the template.html to index. NOTE ●Every website must have an index.html file. ●The index.html file is the default file to be rendered on a website. ●Create the index.html file then the other pages of your website. Edit your index file Render your index file ●Preview your index file ●It will appear as shown below: Note ●<!--This is a comment-> did not display in the browser. ●The text for the title tag shows up in the title ● The text for the <h1> tag shows up on the page rendered. ●Comments are never rendered in the web page, they can be viewed when you view the source of a web page. **<h1><h6>** ●Headings are defined with the <h1> to<h6> tags ●<h1> defines the most important heading.<h6> defines the least important heading. ●<h1> headings should be used for the main headings, followed by<h2>headings, then the less important<h3>, and so on. Initiation Hi Family members, I hope you don’t mind me initiating myself with Our Family members again. I meant introducing myself. My name is Esther aka EstilRoyce, I’m a Quantity Surveyor (still a student) at one of the best universities in Nigeria (Lagos). My interests are Coding, reading, designing, and sewing, I find joy in doing them. I love food 🐱 but you can’t use it to carry me. I’m both an introvert and extrovert, I think the combination of both is called Ambivert. My best color Is blue/White At this point in life, I don’t know if I’m going to practice Quantity Surveying or not but is only God that can tell. Let me tell you more about each of my Interests: Coding: I started coding(Web Development) In 2018 from Code Lagos, the Venue of the training was a bit far from my house, It wasn’t easy. When the training started, I remember that day we asked to introduce ourselves, which we all did. It was now time to be introduced to HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language), the way our tutor explained it was interesting for me. I decide to go online and search more about it. In the training, I made friends with Python Steven, Damilare, and Sir Kelvin. Python Steven was not new to the language, I chatted him up. After class, I will have to wait after class for him to teach me more. I was always disturbing him at the night, so most times I code overnight until I’m tired. Coming to class; people will be thinking who is this girl, I was always happy seeing my coding skill improving. After the training has ended, Our teachers couldn’t continue Mentoring us and my friends didn’t have time to help me build anymore. Ever since then I have been doing on and off coding but this year(2022) I decided to be stable, I got a scholarship which I couldn’t continue because it wasn’t well organized. I also paid for one online, I had to stop because it wasn’t interactive. But now I have joined a community(Coder's Den) and got another scholarship to help me build up my skill. I enjoy coding and the language I use for now are HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I want to be very sound with them. Reading: There is this joy I found in reading. I don’t read anyhow books, I read Business, Motivational/Inspirational, Books related to my course of study, and Coding books. There is this saying and I will quote it in my own words.“ If you want to tell someone a secret just write it in a book” because it's s not everyone that reads books. I enjoy reading, it's part of me. OMG, designing hmmm. Will I say I’m good at designing now?, that's for you guys to answer but I started designing at the age of 10. Then I was using Paint and a bit of Coreldraw, you're going to see my first design and one of my designs now below. What came about my first design was that I love writing stories and then my dad usually buys story books for us. I desire to write mine and publish it, that was what I was thinking then. It was so sad I didn’t publish any of the stories I have written then but my family and my friends read my stories then. I want to do a shout-out to Visual Multimedia Studio Ltd, that was where I started my design training; I was taught from scratch till finished but also still learning more, I was also given a part-time job as a designer there. I started sewing in 2017 but it wasn’t a thing I planned for, I followed a friend of mine ooh is also fetching me some money now. Since I was waiting for university admission then, I was always at home or I would go to the office(Visual Multimedia Studio Ltd) at times. There was one of my friends that usually visit me. That very day that she came, she was like she won’t be coming like the way she usually comes: I was like why she said she want to start learning Fashion design. I was sad and happy at the time. I was sad because I would be bored of staying at home alone and I was happy because she want to go and learn handwork that would fetch her money in the future. After some days she told me, I told her that I was going to follow her there. She didn't object to it then the next day I follow her. When we got there that was when I realized that it was a Male Fashion Designer we came to meet, which means we are here to learn how to sew male clothes, wow that was surprising. We both explained to the Fashion Designer that I also want to learn, and he told me what I'm to buy. When I got home, I told my parents about it they weren’t in support at first because they like their children to always stay indoors and don’t like roaming about. I got everything I was asked to bring then I started learning. Sewing is interesting. The sewing machine is like a way of exercising your leg. I had to stop after 5months because of school. I stopped sewing ever since then but I started back again last year(2021) and the improvement is rapid. Now I had made clothes for quite a lot of people. I hope you enjoyed my write-up? Why I stopped writing for a while... I know there shouldn’t be an excuse for something but there are so many reasons why I stopped writing… I got involved in other things like Playing Football, Programming, Cooking, Watching Movies, Falling in love, etc. I was just joking about Football at first but indeed when I started the training OMG, I was more interested in playing. I was eager and wanted to be on the field playing. In my department we have an annual competition called The HOD(Head Of Department) games in which I had never been involved before because I was always busy reading, I didn’t have time for other things I see it as time waste. For the upcoming game, a friend of mine created a group chat for the girls. He was like nobody should leave the group and all that, Then he said he want the girls to also participate since the guys have been playing and they haven’t won a medal before. Then one of my coursemates supported what he trying to say that she is also interested in the games but we need to come together as a team to win the games. Most of the girls showed interest and which I also did. We all took time to practice, on the first day of the match we did excellently well and it was encouraging. We got qualified to play the next match, this time it was intense because the people we were playing with were also good but we ended up playing a penalty in which we were saved by our keeper, we were all happy that day then we qualified for the final. In the finals, our opponents could not play well but they cheated and they won. At the end of everything we took second place, we celebrated by shouting and dancing. It was a moment of Joy for us like this was our first time participating in the game and we took second place. The football period was time taking for me but I enjoyed every bit of it and we were also given medals and prizes. School Projects during school took my time and we were given time to submit but thank God ASUU(Academic Students Universities Union) strike came before then I was about to collapse because of the workload. I left everything that was related to academics after the strike was announced, I needed to rest my brain. I went home and I make sure I was feeding and sleeping well. It felt good to be back home. The joy in my heart I don’t think anyone could comprehend. Still, in the mood of the strike NUGA (Nigerian University Games Association) games were organized, I went to school once in a while to watch the games and also to campaign for "Don’t Do Drugs" from the Counseling unit. We were able to talk to some students about what we were campaigning for, I enjoyed the moment I spend there. I fell in love, I never knew being loved was like that. It was an experience indescribable. I could feel the love of God. The love that is impossible to explain is the one between brothers/and sisters. I could feel it in my heart, which jumped with joy. It touched me deep inside. I’m learning to imitate him and know his purpose for my life. I have been busy reading books that will build me up. My business: I’m into graphics designs, Web Development, Video Editing, Fashion Design, 3D Animation, and Modeling. It is time taken a bit, I have to meet my client’s needs. I enjoy anything that has to deal with designing and coding, it gives me joy. This is all I can say about things that have taken my time and have stopped me from writing for a while. But now I’m back to writing…… also feel free to tell me what you want me to write about. Someone Stole From Me Right from the time I have always been scared of people stealing from me, it's something I don’t want to experience. In school I make sure I keep my things well and safe, I can't afford to lose my things. On a very day, I woke early enough to wash my things because I was having class by 8 am and I won’t be coming back to the hostel until evening. I asked my sister to help me spread the clothes on the line to dry. I was in class throughout that day. On getting to the hostel, because it was a Thursday I planned to sleep over in my friend’s place. We packed things we would be needing to my friend’s place that we would be back on Sunday or Monday. My friend stays in school but I feel a bit more comfortable than in the hostel. In my friend’s place, I feel more comfortable that I forget to read at times. After spending some days out of my hostel, I came back early in the morning to return some things. My room was looking scattered. I had to rush out after dropping my things. She has gone to pack the clothes washed then we found out one of my clothes was missing and it was my wine red color Nightgown. We both started looking for it because I couldn’t find it. we search everywhere we could but we didn’t see it. I was pained, at that moment I didn’t know what to do. I was very upset when I discovered that someone had stolen it from me. It felt like they had taken something from me that was very personal. It was very frustrating to know that someone had just walked in and taken it. I have always been scared of people stealing from me, and this experience just made that fear even stronger. I try to be careful with my things, but it’s impossible to keep an eye on them all the time. It’s frustrating to know that there are people out there who would steal from someone else, especially when that person is just trying to get by. A friend posted something about someone stealing her stew, I had to chat her up. I didn’t understand at first, I was shocked. The stealing is happening because it is a school hostel where a lot of people from different backgrounds are. It was painful that my Nightie got stolen and I cherish it because it was a gift from my mum. Anytime I wear it, I’m always getting good compliments but now it is stolen. My LifeStyle as a university student Lifestyle is something that can't be hidden. My lifestyle as a university student is quite different from other university students. I remember those times I was in year one, my sister was always telling me to read. I remember one day before having my bath. I told my sister I wanted to visit a friend of mine who stays outside the school, she didn’t say anything but I thought she has agreed to let me go. After taking my bath, I got dressed up; then I told my sister I was ready to go. She said where am I going? That it’s better I go back to the room to start reading and I didn’t want to disobey her because my parents could call us to check upon us and I didn't want to create a bad record. A lot of things changed about me as a university student, there is a lot of freedom for me to do whatever I want to do but I choose to caution myself from doing some things that some students think are nothing. From home, I used to have a lot of friends. Back then, but when I got to school I find it difficult to make friends because I saw different characters in different people in school. I was being careful not to make the wrong set of friends. In year one, I was a loner, I don’t like talking to anyone and I don’t like anyone talking with me…. but it can't continue like that. It was in year one second semester that I started mixing up with people, it was quite interesting. When I’m in school I don’t go outside, the only things I do majorly is to: Attend classes, go to the library, Chapel( to pray or study the bible) then back to my hostel that has been my daily routine is easy for everyone to know where I am at a particular, I live easy, carefree, honest life. The university has also taught me not everyone that talk, smile, laugh with you is your friend, you just have to be careful. University life has changed some things about me like the way I talk, think, etc. In school, you have to know how to keep your things if not they will be stolen from you. I arrange my things well that if anyone touches them, I will know. Before entering the university I was someone that get upset with anything little and I will react straight up. Something happened to me and a friend when I just got into the university. She did something annoying to me, I was trying to warn but she didn’t listen to me, I tried to avoid her but she was still stepping on my toes, I didn’t know the time I slapped her. I felt bad after slapping her but at the same time… Ever since then, I have yet to see something that will upset me. I’m always smiling, no dull moment. The highest thing I can do when I’m upset is not to talk then leave there. I learned good and bad things, I know when to do anything at any time… Now I go out with my sisters, friends but later I realized I enjoy my privacy more. Soooooooo I did some interviews with two of my friends which I would like to share; The question is how can they talk about their lifestyle as a university student Speaker 1: he said he came to the university with an impression that this is where he would have rest and enjoy himself. Educational he felt JAMB was the highest like is the most difficult exam while the university is just taking things slowly then you’re done, that was how he felt at first. He never knew University is where you have to show how much capacity someone has. He said the University changed his lifestyle like when he was in year 1 the university drew him closer to God and he has never been that intimate with God before. It was that time he knew that he has a different orientation that it can only be God and it was that time he realized his parents were not with him in school that it is just him and God doing everything. So it changes his Spirituality than before. It made him have some sense of responsibilities like he would have to think of what to eat and start calculating how he spends, what you do, how he relates with people and you have to be careful of who you talk to, dress responsible. Furthermore, he didn’t change like that but he increased in some core values which his parents have been teaching him from home. University life made him feel responsible for his action and his daily activities. The university has changed him to be quiet with his environment. Speaker 2: She said for her, it is almost like secondary school because she attended a boarding school but the difference is that there more freedom and someone gets to be independent. It has helped her to grow and also to be open up to a lot of things… The university lifestyle has been affected negatively in the aspect that pressure from the school work itself and the lifestyle of the students. The first week of the Year(2022) HAPPY NEW YEAR... WOW! So many things are on my mind but let me write the summary of the first week of this year and month. It was midnight we were still in church, after the closing prayer we were hugging, dancing, singing, and wishing each other compliment of the season. We went back home feeling the New Year but I needed to sleep because I was tired. My mum was disturbing me and my sisters that we need to start preparing food because of the visitors coming. I did the little I could and I went to sleep. I woke up around 8 am, I gave thanks to God for allowing me and my loved ones to see this New Year, it wasn't easy but we scale through. By the time I knew it food was ready and I have a birthday party to attend. I wasn't prepared, I started making my hair that morning. I couldn't finish the hair because It was already getting late for the birthday, I had to use a wig like that. On getting there, I was late for my Friend's Mom Birthday. She was a bit angry but I made her understand the reason I was late, later we danced. Someone noticed the way I was dancing and the person was trying to talk to me. We eventually spoke and this person was just giving lies thinking I believed everything he has told me because I was smiling... In my mind, I was just like there was no need for him lying. Yes, I dressed like a big Madam for the Birthday because I don't know the kind of people that will be there. I like networking with people but the guy just spoilt everything with his lies... I spent the second and third day of the month at grandma's house. it was interesting. it is not a place that we usually go to. I don't know most of my cousins but that very day I got to meet a lot of my cousins like Emmanuel, Praise, Precious, Favour, Prosper, Kome, Omoefe, Willams, Semilore .... etc . it was nice meeting them. Come and see cute guys and ladies. At first, we were all Staring at each other "Abegg someone has to break the staring". I did. I started talking with them one after the other. We all danced together, it was fun seeing each other. Something funny happened that day, my brother didn't know one of the ladies was our cousin, he was already telling my aunty that he likes the girl. We gisted, our togetherness was extremely nice but Praise, Precious, Prosper, and Favour had to leave with their parents. We couldn't go back home that day because we are living far from them. Those of us left started Gisting...I didn't want to end the conversation but I had to because I wanted to rest. they did an overnight party... OMG! People were still dancing around 2 am. I have never attended any overnight before but that will be the first I will be in. I wasn't at the party ground, I was inside the living room with my brother, sisters, and cousins. Later I went to sleep then I woke up around the next day. I enjoyed the hours spent in my grandma's house, it was memorable. we went back home in the evening. I was tired when we got home, I make sure I slept early. on the 5th; I was meant to go back to school. my mind wasn't prepared. Had to channel my inner energy to be productive by washing clothes and cutting clothes for sewing. on the 6th; I had to pack my things to come to school. I got to school in the evening. One bad thing that happened on this day was that my ear pod fell off from my pocket without me knowing 😪😓........ 7th; I was just so lazy to do anything, I was feeling weak but in the evening I talked with a friend of mine. We spoke for a long time, maybe hours and my sisters were angry. I don't know what is going on with me but I would figure that out later... 8th; I'm getting myself back, trying to be busy with my school work but I got confused. My Survey Yesterday I decided to do a Sample survey about how my friends Think about me both the good and bad sides. Wow!... It was interesting. Let me say a little I know about myself. This baby girl likes to live in her world, whereby I’m free to do anything without being judged by whosoever. I feel like as far we are close I should be able to say or do whatever I want to do but at the same time I like to be corrected, I can’t always be right. I know I’m honest, playful, truth worthy, caring, Loving 😍 Now what they said, I will pick any letter in their names to carry you along. Okay, this was how the question went: " If you were asked, what are the good and bad things you know about me, What will be your reply???" Hmmm, It may sound funny asking this kind of question but I wanted to know The first person A, A is a nice, cool, hardworking, understanding, caring person but A likes working without resting, eating… now what A said about me GOOD THINGS: You're hardworking, consistent, you have direction, you know what you want, you're a good person, you have a good attitude, good mentality. A said I balance things well, both work and school and that it's nice. A said I’m an ambivert which is also nice BAD THINGS A said about me: Your persistent can go overboard like if you are trying to help someone out. You’re playful which is at times extreme like when you're on the road then you shout, It's not that something bad happened but A doesn't like it. A said I should try to know about someone I’m dating if he is an extrovert or introvert that not everyone likes the shouting on the road. Second person P, P is gentle, calm, patient, caring…P doesn’t take rubbish, doesn’t like stress at all… What P said about me; Good Things: You're good, caring and Friendly Bad Thing: You worry a lot. Third Person D, D is always willing to learn, caring, understanding, … but D is always busy teaching one person to the other without having time for me😅 The good things D said about me was : You’re lovely, have a good heart. D like how I’m open-minded and how free my spirit is D said I haven't done any bad that maybe for now Fourth Person Y Y likes joking with words, nice, caring… but Y has hurt me indirectly with words that have made me weak… What Y said about me; Good Things: You’re Friendly You build up great Conversation You’re fun to be with You’re lovely Oyaaa now the Bad Things: You’re protective…. let me stop the bad things D said there✌🤣 Fifth person K kkkkkkk OMG such a lovely, caring person, fight settler🤣 but K doesn’t take the rubbish K said both my good and bad side is a vibe… but my bad side to k is that I’m talkative and play a lot which is also fun. Sixth Person AD, The first time I met AD, I was angry but to my surprise we became friends. AD lookout for someone and AD is always willing to help but at times AD is annoying….. My good side to AD: You’re one of the nicest people I know, in fact too nice. Hmmm, now my bad side: AD said I need to time when and where to talk and also control my emotions… Seventh Person B, BBBB is such a nice person but loves to play too much. It is everybody B would call Babe ahhhhhh I imagine what the partner would be thinking……. B said I’m good and I have a big heart Eighth Person AM: AM is a stubborn, nice person who always stands for the truth and also tries to imitate the good thing someone does. Good things AM said; You influence people in a good way People easily learn from you Bad things AM said; once you're angry you just pour out your mind and you're what done with whatever issue that brought about it. Your "No" is always Your "No" and Your "Yes" is always your "Yes" except if God touches your heart. Ninth Person E E is nice, reserved, caring, take to corrections… What E said about me: Good things E said You're a nice, good, free-hearted person, E loves me for who I am. Bad things: E said the way I trust people, that I have to limit the way I interact with people thinking their mind is free just like mine. Giving Thanks It's been long since I have written here. Anytime I think about writing, something else usually comes up but I decided not to be distracted in my writing today. There are a lot of things I would love to write about but first, let me write about Giving thanks to the Almighty. What do you know about Giving thanks/ thanking God? Is it until something good happens to you or your loved ones that when you give thanks? How do you thank God? When you wake up in the morning what's the first thing you do? Giving thanks has a different meaning to different people. You can give thanks /thank God through Worship, Dance, Praise, Prayers, Word of mouth, etc Are you the type of person who usually gives thanks unless you are in church and that's all… Thanking God for his blessings and asking him to keep your family and you safe. I thank God always and I will always continue to do that. So today I’m going to take the time to thank God for many things because he has always been there for me. He has always been my rock when I was at my lowest point. I'm saying this with confidence and I’m not saying it to impress anyone, but I’ve had a lot of things happening in my life that could have made me take the wrong path but God was always there with his love and grace. He taught me how to live from day to day and how to not be bothered by people who don't matter. If you are reading this today thank God because at some point in your life you needed him or you would have not made it up until now. Today I give thanks to God for being my rock, teacher, guardian, and guide. I want to thank God for keeping me going. I want to thank God for all the things I am going through. Thank You for not leaving me or forsaking me. Thank you for being there for me when I am in need, Thank you for your love and blessing. Sewing 1 Sewing is an art. You need to be good at mathematics and have a good sense of measurement too before you can be called a seamstress or a tailor. I have seen some people who are so talented but they don’t have a sense of measurement at all. They don’t know basic mathematical calculations. For them, sewing is not easy. But on the other hand, some people are not that great at arithmetic but they are gifted in sewing because of their accurate way of measurement. Key skills to take into account while sewing clothes are precision, patience, and creativity. Think twice before taking any measurement. You can find videos that will teach you how to measure the shoulders, the full arms, the waist, the hips, the torso, the legs, the chest. Have you ever wondered how some clothes or caps are sewed? First, you need to be good in mathematics before talking about measurement. I’m going to talk about how to make this kind of cap and a bow tie **For Cap** First measure the material you're using, it has to be 52 inches or thereabout and also measure the person's head. Secondly, you will cut the pieces into three places. It does not matter the size of the person's head but cut it into three equal parts in a slanted way. Thirdly, join the three pieces together, you will have to sew another material to the cap material to cover up the sewing done. So sew the cap material and the other material from edge to edge. Fourthly, the measure of the person’s head. Mark the measurement of the head on the cap material, fold It into two to stitch the place marked, and do the same to the other material join at the edge Lastly, For the top of the cap. The material from the cap material and other material cut it like a circular shape to the size that will cover the cap at the top. Then sew it at the top of the cap with the one you have cut circularly, You have your African party cap. After you have finished sewing it around, use scissors to cut the material in the middle, at one part of the materials. How I met him It was a sunny afternoon, after lectures. I planned to go to the library to do my assignment and some revisions. I was deliberating whether I should go or not, I concluded ongoing. I got to the library, everywhere was cool then I decided to rest my head on the table. Suddenly, I saw a leg standing beside me then I raised my head to know who was standing beside me. OMG! This guy is damn cute. The way I looked at him was the way a kid will look at a chocolate. He asked me whether he could sit beside me. Without hesitation, I offered him a seat. He sat beside me, and I was using one of my eyes to look at him from time to time. After a while he started asking me different questions about the library, I make sure I answered all his questions then he made a joke. Though it was not funny, I laugh loud at it then all eyes were on me. I apologize to everyone for the noise I created. It was almost time for the library to close, this cute guy asked me for my number saying he want to know about the library schedule. We exchanged numbers that day. I was tired but when I got to the hostel I was thinking about this cute guy I just met, I couldn’t stop myself from thinking about him. I have to stop myself from thinking about him I decided to play games on my phone. When I picked my phone I already received a notification from this green app(Whatsapp). It was an unknown number that messages me. I opened the app to reply to the unknown number, the unknown introduced him as Emmanuel. I was thinking who is Emmanuel, I couldn’t bring myself to remember who Emmanuel was. I replied that I’m sorry I don’t know this your own Emmanuel. The next day, I was happy to see him at the library. I could see and feel the happiness on his face, we sat together. We spoke for a long time trying to know each other. We became good friends, we can’t do without chatting or calling ourselves. We got used to each other, everyone around me admire him. He has a good quality of boyfriend like: He knows how to behave, talk, cook, joke, advice, he is intelligent, he has the fear of God and thing you that a good boyfriend should have, etc, OMG I wish he could be mine 😫but he is yet to ask me out to be his girlfriend. I'm So happy I met him. It's almost like a dream to me. Then, I thought of going to the mall to try out new things I told him. So he decided to take me out to the mall. When we got to the mall my heart was beating fast because he was so close beside me. we were talking about random stuff and we just walked and walked until we reached a place where we both got seated so comfortable. He told me how he got interested in me and he said he was attracted to me since he saw me for the first time that he has been keeping it for a long. What if I don’t mind will I be his girlfriend? I was about to reply to him before I heard if anyone was still in the library then I answered Yes. All alone I have been dreaming, I met him in my dream. When I stood up, everywhere was dark. So I went back to the hostel smiling about how I met him in my dream 😂but I’m yet to meet him physically. I should have gone back to my hostel since I was tired but I insisted on going to the library but I slept off in the library. Thank you for reading my post.

Time Management November 7, 2021. Hello read cash fam, we have all been talking about time management but have you sat down to know what it is about. I think I’m always talking about time management, I just finally got the meaning this past week. Time management is the process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency, or productivity. Time management is a necessity, not an option because it has become important in our lives to ensure that we are doing well in our workplace. The importance of an active time management system will lead to any achievement you are aiming for. When you have your goals set, your mind will be focused on them, making you achieve what you want. It is important to know yourself before moving forward because this will help you set goals that are achievable by you. Self-knowledge can help in setting goals made in line with your abilities and also realistic in terms of the resources available. I have been enjoying my fashion design and I’m improving daily. where I learn and work as a fashion designer is far from where I live, every day when I’m usually stuck in traffic when coming back from work and I’m always feeling tired. My boss is the kind of person that doesn’t like someone missing any day at work, so I go to work every day except the weekend. There was this the training I registered for some months back, I got a notification that it has started. I thought it was going to be easy combining both my Fashion design and Online training. Whenever am at work I’m always with my phone to the extent that my boss is complaining indirectly and I’m not always completing my work for that day. Although the online training timetable is alright I have to do my quiz and a mini project to move to the next stage. My schedule has been tight because I have a deadline to submit my mini project and I also have to read and write articles on readCash although I just joined and I also love expressing myself through writing. At times this thought comes to my mind “Who sent me errand and no one is rushing me that I have to learn all this now” but I have to learn all this now because I don’t know where I can find myself in the future. I haven’t been time conscious, the way I don’t know how to manage my time is stressing me. When I’m to sew, I will be busy revising for the online training quiz and preparing my project for submission. What would you do if you were in my position in this case? It is only on Sunday I’m free from sewing and Online training classes. I’m happy I have time to read articles I have missed and also to work on the articles I want to post. I always feel like resting on Sundays but I still have to wake early for church. Time management is also a concept of managing your time to achieve what you want to do. The first step to start managing your time is to know if you are using your time or it is using you. This is because we think we are managing time but actually managing us. So once you take control of your schedule, step 2 is to design a schedule for each day of the week. When designing your schedule, you should be realistic about your capabilities. It means that you should be able to manage time effectively and still have some room for fun and relaxation. Based on my explanation you would notice I have not been managing my time well. For this new week, I have decided to create a work schedule that would make my work easy for me. Childhood November 4, 2021. Hello read cash Family, it was not everyone that enjoyed their childhood but mine was in between. What i mean by this is, i can't say if it's bad or too good. I'm the third born and the second daughter of the family. So I'm going to talk about my childhood. When I was younger I was always full of fun, although, still full of fun a lot of things has changed now. When I was younger my parents were always busy although the little time they spent with us was always worthwhile. I remember then there was no Sunday without us not going for an outing after church services. I usually enjoy our visit to the amusement park, many rides to try. Were you a lover of Salad, when you were younger? I was never a lover of salad thank God I had an elder brother and sister who were always willing to help me with my salad. Our parents were the kind of parents who provide everything we need, there was no room for complaint. They prefer us to always stay indoors. I remember when my elder brother and sister usually do like horses to carry me and my younger sister at their back. We played all by ourselves. As at then our routine was home, school, home, we spend most hours in school. My parents never allowed us to go inside anyone's house and anyone was not allowed to come inside our house. There was one day our neighbor's daughter who was our friend came to our house, we allowed her inside the house knowing full well that we have violated our parent's rule. Suddenly we heard the car horn of my dad's car, that day wasn't funny we took her to Our room (Children Room) and told her to hide under the bed. As my dad came inside, we went to do our usual thing, like welcoming our dad. I and siblings were thinking about how we were going to let her out of the house. Her mum was already calling out her name very loud, so we thought of one of us distracting our dad to go to his room. Immediately my dad went to his room, I quickly went to call her from where she was, it was funny that day but we were scared. Micheal was so cute, he was just the girls kind of guy but I didn't like him because he was every girl-guy, I was hard on him and he dare not misbehave when he sees me although we played together. My parents knows him since he was my brother's close friend then. I remembered one stupid thing I did. I never knew it was bad, I saw our neighbor's husband ( our friend's dad) kissing another woman. I didn't know what I saw was a bad thing and it was not something to be said out. The funny thing I did, because my parents weren't at home I went to my neighbor's house to play with my friend then I told her mum what I saw 😫. I don't know who sent me a message to deliver. The next morning my friend's dad was already knocking at our door. It was on a Saturday morning, my parents are usually around. My friend's dad narrated everything to my dad. My dad called me to come outside for me to apologize for what I did and he explained to me what I didn't know about before, I felt sad. My parents taught me and my siblings how to save, So anyone that saves the most will collect the bonus. My dad usually asked all of us different questions relating to academics, Sport, newspapers, Current Affairs, etc. Anyone that gets it right would win some certain money, we were all always eager to get it right. We call the questioning "who want to be a millionaire questions?" there was always an option like call a friend and two options would be removed from the option to pick from the remaining two, it was always interesting. There was one ugly incident that happened, my parents went out that Saturday morning to get a new fridge in the house. My elder brother went out of the compound to play with his friends before my parents would be back, my elder sister went to my parent's room to use my mum's makeup on her face so that she can scare me and my younger sister while I went to the back of the compound where the generator house was, that was where I was playing with fuel, generator oil, I used the fuel to make gum. The gum is formed when fluffy( that white stuff that is always inside of a carton when you buy something like television)is mixed with fuel, and I was also using the oil to play. Suddenly it poured then my younger sister came looking for me in the backyard of the house, she noticed I have poured the oil. Immediately she was trying to look for my elder sister to report me to her. She didn't know my elder sister was in my parent's room, she thought my elder sister went across the road. I tried calling her back but she didn't answer me then I left her so I went inside the house to watch some of my favorite episodes on Nickelodeon. Some minutes later a woman came knocking that my younger sister has been hit by a motorcycle, she told me and my elder sister that our sister has been rushed to the hospital, we were shaking that what are we going to tell our parents when they come back. After one hour we heard my dad's car horn. my dad came in, my younger sister was with them. Her elbow, forehead has been plaster. Before my parents were back, my elder brother was back from where he went to then we narrated everything that happened. My mum likes beating, every little mistake we did she was there to caution us by using her hands and it was usually painful but my dad doesn't, he is good at using words to straighten someone. My parents are good at disciplining us and they can also spoil us with enjoyment. So my parents asked us to narrate everything that has happened. Hello, readcash family, I'm Esther by name and also known as (aka) EstilRoyce, my nickname was originated when I wanted to register on one social media platform and we were asked to input our nicknames not name. Then I sat down to think about the nickname I was going to input. At first, I combined my name with my dad's name together which gave me "EstherRoyce". So my nickname became Esther Royce. Most of my friends and classmate then joined that platform, anytime we are in school everyone tried to call each other by their nicknames, it was getting more interesting as the day goes on. My friends' names were Ethycruz, Bolulexy, Favstick, Praiz, Ruthjoey, etc. That was as at then. One day I thought of changing my nickname so that it can be unique. I then thought of Spelling my Esther in another way that can be unique. That was how I came about EstilRoyce. I am the only EstilRoyce any other EstilRoyce is a counterfeit. My best color is Blue, I love any shade of blue and I don't mind if you could send me a blue rose. I like Rice with Beans and I'm from a family of six. I'm a university student who is studying Quantity Surveying in a well-known university in Nigeria, I don't want too loud my school, (lol). Quantity Surveying is the estimation of the cost of materials and labor in construction works. That's just the general meaning that I can use to enlighten you. I enjoy anything calculation and my first encounter with the word Quantity Surveying was from my dad then he did a lot of explanation and I also browse about it, I got interested in studying Quantity Surveying. It is a course that not everyone knows about it but they need a Quantity Surveyor, I would have loved to enlighten you guys more about Quantity Surveying but then I won't want you to get bored. Apart from studying Quantity Surveying, I'm also into Architectural Visualization, Graphic Design, Video Editing, 3D Animation, and Fashion Design. I know how to use quite several software like Poser pro, Excel, Microsoft Word, 3dsMax, AutoCAD, After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Corel Draw, Corel Photopaint, ArchiCAD, Revit, etc. Less I forget, I also code using HTML, CSS, Javascript but Coding isn't my major. I learned coding to get enlightened about it. My Fashion design is mainly for male dresses. Though sewing female dresses shouldn't be hard for me, except gowns. A lot of people are surprised and do ask "How will a lady sew for males" but I want to make a difference I have quite a several male friends. I enjoy drawing and I have always wanted to map out what I have sketched. When I was younger I have always been interested in writing, I wanted to create my storyline and all. I enjoy reading, learning new things, dancing, talking with close friends, writing things that people can gain from. I like food, going for outings of small gatherings, listening to music. I don't like when I'm being deceived and someone being fake. I never knew I could like Coca-Cola, the way I like it now. I can take like 3 bottles of Coca-Cola in a day but after taking that I'm going to avoid it for like two weeks before taking any other one that if I can do that 😂. My circle of friends is small but I have more male friends than female friends. I enjoy the company of my friends and we have positively impacted each other's life. I'm grateful to have such friends.
