Aswang or Kapabayaan?
Hey guys, what's up?! I feel so energized today because, why not, Char! Actually, the reason behind the energetic me was, that my husband, is back to work again! Just last week, their work was halted because of some issue regarding DPWH, and I got worried because it might take a long time before their work resumes. But last Wednesday, he was told to report on one of his projects located in Jamindan. He was so happy when he told me about it, and I let out a big sigh, but in a good way, after hearing it. It means I don't have to worry about our expenses, especially now that I earn so little on both platforms. Have you noticed it too?
Okay, so let's move on with what this article really is about. I was supposed to write it yesterday, but the cold weather got me lying the whole day, so I decided to write it today instead.
Yesterday morning, while my husband and I were having our breakfast, we saw the service vehicle of one of the radio stations here in our city pass by. So we both had a big question mark on our eyes like, what happened? Is there another drug buy-bust operation in our subdivision that we do not know about? The Marites in me kicked in, lol! But since I was busy, I forgot about it and continued my morning chores.
After a couple of hours, done with my usual routine, I opened my Facebook account and this is what I saw in my feed.
According to the news, a 1 year and 4 months old baby died. She was found in a small canal near in their house and was suspected that she was drowned. The incident happened last May 25 at 10 in the morning. The aunt of the baby was the one taking care of her when it happened.
But you know what's funny, they were saying na "INASWANG" daw ang baby kaya namatay. They consulted a quack doctor about it and according to the albularyo, napaglaruan daw ng masamang espiritu or inaswang ang bata kaya namatay. Like what the f! Common sense lang ba, common sense! My gosh, super triggered talaga ako dito kahapon.
So seriously, we are now in the era na puro na halos computer na nagpapatakbo ng lahat and then sasabihin pa nila na dahil daw sa aswang kaya namatay ang bata. Kabobohan! It's their kapabayaan! 1 year old na bata dapat eh nakatutok ang bantay sa ganyang dead. Baka kamo nawili sa kakacellphone ang tita kaya napabayaan ang bata kaya nangyari yun. Kaawa-awang bata, di ko maimagine yun hirap nya habang nalulunod sya at she might be desperately asking for help pero di nya nagawa coz she's just a baby. My heart ached for her.
I know, mahirap sa magulang ang nangyari lalo na sa ina ng bata and I think na naghahanap lang sila ng mapagbuntunan ng sisi sa nangyari but I think mas makakatulong sa pagmomove on nila yung accept nila na dahil sa kapabayaan nila kaya nangyari ang lahat ng yun.
And I've been here in Capiz for 20 years, dumami na lang ang uban ko pero wala pa akong nakitang aswang, jusko, kaya gigil din ako doon sa albularyo na kakilala ko din eh, hay naku!

And that's it, nilabas ko lang dito ang frustration ko na kahapon ko pa gusto sabihin, lol! Kayo ba guys, naniniwala din sa aswang?
