What is your 'Ambag'?
We are our first line of defense.
It's been three years, almost, when we first heard about the deadly unseen enemy of the world, the Corona Virus. No matter who you are, where you are and what your race, color or social status in life is, you are affected. Everyone is affected.
In a time that we all thought that things are getting better, another variant is already out and ready to spread scare to everyone.
If you are a Filipino or at least hearing some news about the Philippines, you probably aware of this Poblacion Girl who went viral after skipping her quarantine schedule and choosing to spend the rest of hours partying in one of the busiest cities in the Philippines. To make things worst, she was eventually tested positive and spread the virus to the other 7 persons she's with that night.
The catch? She was proud in saying that she skipped her quarantine due to her connections. In a police report, it says that she was picked up by her parents from the hotel she was supposed to be staying.
Update with the case? Poblacion Girl, her parents, and some staff of the hotel she stayed at and even some employees of the bar will be facing criminal charges.
What now?
We can all argue with how the government handles the pandemic situation. Some are satisfied with their actions but most are still looking for more. We can always throw shade at the government but have you checked yourself? Have you asked yourself what is your share to at least lessen the spread of the virus?
We are all aiming for things to go back to normal. But are there things that we are doing to contribute to the betterment?
Having a social mindset is a must. Where you just don't do things because you want it. You are considering the lives of those who will be affected just in case you did this or that.
Aside from that, where is discipline been? It is the Millennial Era already and seems discipline is left behind by others. Just a simple protocol to wear a mask properly is missing.
I am not saying that you stay inside the house forever. But if there is nothing important you need to do, better be inside than sorry later.
The world we are living today is not only for you. It is for everybody. It a social responsibility of each of us to do things that will make this world better for today's generation, and of course, for future too.
By the way,
Ambag is a Tagalog word which equates to 'share'. For example,
'What is your ambag to make your project better?'
Also means, 'What is your share to make your project better?'

Literal na kasalanan talaga to ni poblacion girl. Kapag siya ung patient zero ng omicron, goodluck sa lifetime hate and bashing sakanya.
