On the last week of March this year, I convinced my husband that we try traveling to Oslob via the south-western road. He agreed and we had a couple of stopovers. First was the brunch at Charlie's Cup.

Thanks lovies!

And before we reached Moalboal, we had our late lunch at Barili's Milk Station. It was raining a bit so the lady at their kiosk told us to go down and have lunch instead at their restaurant, I had no idea there was a restaurant inside but we just walked down into the mini forest, found a white house, like an ancestral type, and we immediately noticed the many animals.

I wrote a quick summary about it here before: Stop Over at Barili Milk Station for Lunch

We found out it is Molave Wood Farm after all. We had been to Barili Milk Station a couple of times before but we had always stayed at the upper eatery, this was the first time that we were directed over there.

It was still raining when we arrived and there were no signs of people around, it felt like we were the only ones so we decided to roam around first.

What I love about here is the greenery, the place is huge by the way, there were many sections dedicated to certain animals. They got horses, birds, some chickens, and turkeys. But they also have a lot of peacocks!

I was very attracted to this bungalow at a distance, it has a terrace and there are rocking chairs in there, I bet this is a rest house of the owner? I wonder who owns the land too.

Just a few minutes after exploring the area, we noticed that there were farm workers walking in the rain. I decided to go back to the restaurant and order. There's a small window that serves as an order counter, I had to call out and see if there were people inside. And a guy staff went out, asked for our orders.

The food here is very affordable. They got only a limited number of options too. I got my husband Humba, a Filipino pork dish, I got sisig, another pork dish, and Ngohiong for the baby as he likes anything crunchy.

I wasn't disappointed with the food, they all tasted good and the ngohiong especially because they had cooked it right when we ordered it so it was super crunchy that my baby finished the one whole stick.

Now, this place is really known for their ice cream and milk so I had to also order the vanilla and chocolate ice cream as well as their milk. I was too excited to eat it that I forgot to take photos of the ice cream and milk, oh oh!

It's been a while since we had been here though. After eating everything, it's time to check out the birds because the rain stopped and the sun shone upon us too!

Of course, I have to take a lot of photos of the husband and baby. Matti didn't want to walk through and he's already very heavy, I can't take carrying him around so I volunteered to take photos instead.

The birds were wet, their tails all tucked into their bodies. There were peacocks on the roof of their pens while there were also several which were inside. I guess they had just allowed these fowls to roam around the vicinity.

Then we headed further to these caged birds. There were Papua Hornbills, Brahminy Kite, Pairs of Macaws, Java Green Peacocks, and Black Palm Cockatoo which my camera can't focus on as it was blending with the background.

These white Macaws were really noisy too. There's one which was located just next to the table where we were seated and it can't stop squeaking. I guess it was trying to get our attention.

This is the view of the house where we dined, we ate at that long table on the veranda. The windows look pretty! Perhaps at certain times, this place can be a location for family gatherings. I am not sure if they allow bookings though but the green valley ahead has a chapel-like structure at the distance and it could be a good spot too for a garden wedding!

Thanks for reading! Have you been to Barili's Molave Milk Station?

It is refreshing to see nature and animals. I like trips that are out of the city. I think most of us need a big break after this messy pandemic.
