The struggle!
The rate at which we all want money these days and the way people strive, fight and go through any means within their disposal to get this money is evident in today's society.
It's everyday I see memes on social media with these weird questions "will you kill your uncle for 1 million naira?" The questions did not shock me as much as the answers did. Someone answered with a question "if they needed his aunty too".
Although most people may say that it was all jokes and cruise catching, let's not forget that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Innocent minded people like me may think that it's a joke but trust me when I say that some people are really not joking.
If all these were jokes, we wouldn't see dead bodies in with their vital organs missing along the road and in bushes and many obscure places.
I can't forget the one I saw with my eyes recently on my way to school a few days ago. Although school is on strike, I had business to attend to within the vicinity and the driver mentioned that the dead body was dropped headless on Benin Lagos express way at the early hours of the morning.
The driver kept blaming girls that they won't sit in their parents house and date hardworking guys but they want the ones who make their money off defrauding people. The driver said it and repeated it like a billion times that I began to get offended and almost scream at him.
What made it worse was that I was the only young girl in the bus. Others were guys and the females were women so it was like all eyes were on me. The driver even went as far as turning his head to look at me cos I was behind him. Maybe he could read the displeasure in my face or more.
I was enraged! I wanted to ask him how he knew that the girl was doing hookup or dating a yahoo boy? When things like that happen, it's the first thought that comes to the mind of Nigerians. As if the girl could not have been kidnapped on her way home or something.
The sight of how mashed the body was to the tar of the road is still like I saw it yesterday. Apparently, cars had passed over the dead body multiple times before people could realize that it was a human. Such a sad story I must say.
There are legit things to do to get money in the world today but the thing is nobody want to put in the work. Everybody needs quick and cool cash. I read @Bilqees article earlier today where we saw how Uche disregarded his mother's counsel and chose quick cash. She has not written the end yet but I'm sure the end for Uche won't be good.
We all know what it right, let's try to choose it and work. By work, I mean clean legit work.
Author's Epilogue
It has rained all day today like someone annoyed the rain gods. I'm not glad cos the weather has been so cold and I have light clothes on.
I can't wait to get home and cover up properly.
Thanks for reading..

The scripture has said it all, "The Love Of Money is the Root of All Evils". All this are a sign of the end time, and I hope many repent from their ways now before it gets too late.. The preacher said it all; Vanity upon Vanity, all is Vanity, I wonder what we are then chasing that has made us forget about the only true possession.. The struggle continues.... End time looming
