One Upon a Day with Friends

2 48

Once upon a day in the month of December, my friends and I went out and spent time bonding together.

It's 10:oo o'clock in the morning when I prepared. I just wear a simple shirt I bought online and partnered it with a maong pants and white shoes. One of them, who also came from the same barangay as mine, fetch me. Our meeting place is the Church in the city. We agreed that we will attend mass first so we waited for each other there.

After the mass, we went to Mang Inasal. However, their stock has run out due to the fact that many people went there earlier and dined in. So we went to another branch, but the queue or lane is so long. So we decided to just go to Chowking. Fortunately, we were accommodated swiftly.

We order Chao Fan with siomai and pineapple drinks. Two of my friends are the ones who ordered while the rest, including myself, went upstairs and find a spot where we will eat.

After a few minutes, our table number was called so we went to claim our orders. Then, of course, we eat while having some small talks about this and about that. We forget academics even for just a short period of time so we could enjoy our holiday break.

By the way, we are all taking up Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. I am thankful because I have them. We help each other especially on the things we are hard up. Hopefully, in God's will, we will be able to finish this course and pass the board exam.

Yes, our course is very difficult but we still find time bonding together. We lift each other during tough times and help one another to understand our lessons.

After we eat, we go to the park nearby and talk about things like this and like that. There are lots of changes that had happened including ourselves, but we remain intact.

While we are having some chat, several children went near to us and sing Christmas carols. We give them something from the heart. Just a few minutes after, two more children. What's with them that the earlier kids did not do was they dance some TikTok trends, and because of this, one of my friends has given more. Well, it's the essence of Christmas. It is already 26, but just like what father told in the mass a while ago, just because December 25 is over does not mean Christmas is also over.

So yeah, this day was really well spent. Hope everything is going to be better next year so we could go out more often.

Someday, somehow, we will go to separate ways but just because we will have our own life in the future does not mean our closeness will fade. I believe that friends, no matter how far they are, will forever be friends because that's what friends are for.

They can be everything. No matter what happens, we will always have each other's backs. When someone wants to cry his or her heart out but merely smiles as if nothing occurred, they are the ones who can see the pain behind the smile. No matter how eccedentesiast one could be, they could sense it. But the good thing is, they are always there.

If you are experiencing any difficulties, you may always inform your friends about it. With them, you have one of the most enjoyable experiences of your life. You have the freedom to be yourself. No matter how ridiculous or crazy you are sometimes, they will never judge you or treat you unfairly.

"Together we stand, divided we fall."
