Thank God it’s Friday! I really mean it. This Friday is a holiday here in the Philippines, actually, since yesterday, for we are celebrating the Holy Week. So, it’s a long weekend and this time it’s legit, no work for me, yay!
Ironic that when you got all the time to spend at home would also be a time to get a writer’s block, dah! Thank you read.cash for we are all free to write about anything, except copied and plagiarized articles. So, bear with me this time, let’s do something random today… AGAIN. Haha! Yah, I’ve been in this genre most of the time I guess.
Anyway, let’s start the ball rolling…
**Netflix**. Yes, my eyes are glued here. Yesterday, I watched this limited series “Unbelievable” and I just can’t stop watching that I finished all eight episodes in one day. The story is about this rape victim who was ridiculed by the police, her friends and all for making up stories about her being raped, yet at the end it was proven that she’s been telling the truth. Truly unbelievable, right? You have to watch it, there is still more from it. The storyline was just so interesting that I just can’t stop clicking NEXT EPISODE every time I finished one, haha!
Then, today. I started this Korean Drama “Twenty- Five Twenty- One,” which is entirely a different genre from the previous, but I still got hooked watching it. It’s a tear-jerking story about relationships, but other than that I love how dreams, goals and ambitions are being represented from this series.

I love this quote. If we love doing something for lip service, then we are doomed. Our motivation and inspiration should be rooted much deeper than that. Then, it would be harder to quit, and it will become a driving force that will give life some purpose and meaning.
Anyway, the next good thing about Friday is…
**Food**. I don’t have breakfast and lunch at all, but I never starve myself. I don’t know what I’m doing but have been eating most of the time, lol!
At this time of the year here in the Philippines, everyone must’ve been cooking “binignit” or “tabirak” (in our dialect) or hot halo-halo, haha! This is just so hard to translate in English. Actually, it’s a soup of glutinous rice, "saba" banana, taro, sweet potato, taro and a bit of jackfruit cooked in coconut milk. It’s really delicious, I have actually consumed three small bowls today haha! So, yes, that explains why I’m full and ignored breakfast and lunch. The weather has been humid today, and we had these popsicles this afternoon. This is watermelon flavor, and it has this cute round chocolates that resemble the seeds. Anyway, great combination, eh? Hahah! My tummy is doing really great, thank God!

**TGIF! Thank God I’m Free!** Today is a day to celebrate LIFE, for His death, we receive reconciliation with God and our chance for a brand new life through Jesus Christ. That would be the awesomest freedom ever!

Just Fresh, No Rugged
Hello guys! Let’s talk about anything under the hidden sun, haha! As I started writing this, the sun has been hiding, however this afternoon the sun showed up and I’m so happy because my laundry will finally get some sunlight. Smells fresh and not rugged now, lol!
Anyway, I love the fresh start of staking from these three smartBCH projects, first with the NFT Club’s Pixel Guy and Shorai, then the Forgotten Lads, and recently, the Joybot NFT from Joystick Club. These three projects are really doing great in the smartBCH ecosystem, so dive in guys!
Unfortunately, this poor shrimp farmer can’t mint lots of NFTs when there are still available NFTs to mint wee back time. If I’m a whale perhaps I could’ve minted so much more. But, anyway, I’m all good. Before the year 2022, my goal was to explore NFTs and now, I am here, trying to build my NFT portfolio and staking on smartBCH.
The NFTC token, the token earned from staking Pixel Guy and Shorai, is on a pump, and available for swapping and staking on Mistswap. Meanwhile, tomorrow, the project will have another NFT minting launch of Kensho NFT, the male counterpart of Shorai. So, guess it’s smart to hold that BCH and prepare for the minting, one NFT is .05BCH or 850NFTC, but there’s only 2000 supply for NFTs sold with the NFTC token and more allowed for the latter.
The Forgotten Lads went smoothly yet slowly earning LAD$, or perhaps I just got overwhelmed with the fast rate during the first 24 hours of staking. Also, there’s a RPG game coming soon from this project, so, I guess this is something to watch about on smartBCH.
Lastly, but not the least, my lone ranger joybot is earning fine and looking cute while charging, I hope I have lots though, must be a cuteness overload, lol! Anyway, if you’re into gaming, you can earn more reward with your joybot NFT while playing games in the joystick club arcade. Anyway, I tried playing with the arcade games but I keep losing lol! I think i’ll just have to leave my NFT bot earning while staking and forget about the games, haha!
And, here’s another regret, while this poor shrimp was saving for some BCH to buy joybot NFT, today, as I checked the floor price, it surged up to .11BCH per NFT, yikes! So sad, I don’t think I could ever give this lone ranger a partner. Sigh.
So, no rugged, I believe from these amazing projects on smartBCH, however lately, just the other day, I almost got rugged though with the BCH Town. Thank God I was not able to buy it because the day after the launch the devs just ran away with a total of 95BCH according to this tweet! Oh my! The person behind this will meet KARMA really soon.
The past few days, I was excited for this because it's a building-kinda game, of which I believe I would love to play. I even followed both read.cash and Twitter accounts, and I think I even participated in their upcoming giveaway too. The launch came and lots were buying, must be because of the juicy APR too, I was almost tempted to buy a few tokens so I could start earning more TOWN while waiting for the game to start. However, the shrimp waited for the dump so I went to bed and decided to buy it in the morning. I was saved from buying that freakin scam token when I got an early call from the hospital. Later that day I read a message from Club1BCH TG that BCH Town was a scam, ran the money, and deleted the website, telegram and other social media handles.
Goodness! I can’t forget his/her name - YULLI. I wonder what’s the real name or person behind that username, very cunning and really a scam artist. I don’t know how we could filter out people from making projects on smartBCH that have evil intentions, because lately there has been several of them already.

Payback Time?
Hello earthlings! How does Mother Earth treating you at this present time? Or, should we ask ourselves how are we treating her? Natural calamities have gone sadly overwhelming nowadays. The past weeks weren't an exception for us here in the southern part of the Philippines.
The rain has been so tormenting for a lot of residences and families, even to the crops as well. Some of our neighbors who lived in a nearby stream experienced flooding waist high for two consecutive nights. Cleaning the entire mess took them days because the flood water also contains mud and this requires vigorous brushing and cleaning, while others were all busy washing clothes, and sofa covers soaked with mud as well. It's unfortunate, but we can only thank God that no one got harmed and their dwelling places were still intact.
The community spirit of "bayanihan" or unity and cooperation among the people in the community is still persistent. My brother and some of his friends even helped in cleaning a couple of houses affected by the flood. This is truly something very inspiring to witness at this present time, however, how are we towards the environment and to Mother Nature?
The effects of global warming are just overwhelming nowadays. These calamities aren’t something that we can brush aside because it affects our lives, our home, and our planet. I sincerely don’t know how people in the government and the international level addressed the issues of global warming, but I think it has become a personal issue for a lot of us, so we have to take a stand and do something.
The very simple means of garbage disposal are nothing extraordinary to accomplish. I think it is very important for people to have a sense of self discipline in making a lifestyle to dispose of our trash properly. Every household should commit to segregating biodegradable and non- biodegradable materials. Moreover, we have to be responsible not to throw garbage everywhere, and if possible less air pollution too, something just so hard to control with the prevailing use of vehicles, factories and all.
Is this payback time? Perhaps.
The constant rain, before we only got used to the monsoon rains, nowadays we still have the very wet season during summer. My perusal about the dreadful raining took me to Australia, they too have incessant flooding everywhere due to non-stop and occasional heavy rains. Moreover, still in Australia, who can forget the hellish wildfires that affect the communities, the families and even the wildlife. These too can be because of global warming.
A couple of days ago, we had heavy rains here again. And, this waterfall in the photo above just went berserk, you can check what happened from this link here. I hope you can check it out to see the difference, the volume of flood water has been just extraordinary, the water went up creating more massive pathways that unfortunately swallowed two kids living nearby. The old people living in the area had said that this has been the first time ever. Personally, I can’t imagine a beautiful waterfall would be that deadly in the storm. Climate change has been on a global scale, @itravelRox even shared from my previous post about the winter weather during the supposed to be spring time in some other countries. Sigh.
My aunt who owns a small beach resort in the province also noticed an increase in the sea water level. A few weeks back, the sea almost broke one of the cottage when the water rises during high tide. This too is something truly alarming for people living along the coastline.
Anyway, how can we make amends to Mother Nature and to our environment? I hope we are never too late.

What a Lonnggg Day?!
Yah, it has been a long day indeed my friends in the virtual world. Hello! Hello! It’s me again! How’s everyone?
Just something random for today, and I’m tired, but the rain has never gone weary from showing it’s torturing outcome- the floods and landslides. It has been raining again in this part of the world for 2 days now, and on Facebook I have seen posts and photos about flooding everywhere. Oh my, this is just sad. According to the news recently, we will still have rains until the weekend, and well, what to do? I feel sorry for the people who have to experience the catastrophe brought by heavy and non stop raining. Is this payback time? Anyway, I want to write a separate article for that, maybe next time.
Let us skip the sad stories for today and proceed with the happy ones. Another thing that keeps me busy today was my mom’s birthday, yey! Happy birthday, mother dearie! Love you mucho! That was my message for her this morning. We went out for lunch with father dearie, my brother and the kids. We ate at Chikaan restaurant in Robinson’s Place- Iligan. I would love to go to another restaurant, but my mom insisted that she wanted to dine just inside the mall so she can roam around afterwards. So, her wish is my command, hahah! She won, of course.
My brother cooked some great viands for dinner and I bought a cake too from the mall that afternoon, so dinner became a simple part 2 celebration haha! Just for our small family. We had a group chat on messenger and my sister in La Union initiated the video conference with everyone. My brother in Bukidnon joined, and our youngest sibling in Manila too. It has been a fun video chat, the kids sang happy birthday all together and the granny was just so happy listening to them. That was perhaps the most fun finale for mother dearie’s birthday, despite the distance, technology bridges the gap and makes every moment memorable.
Since I have my monthly visitor since morning I’m not in my best physically and mentally, which makes the entire day tiring even more. Thus, I have forgotten to take some pictures so I could at least share here, Sorry guys, I am truly so lousy today. But, I’m just so glad that I was able to pull it off.
Tonight, I was surprised that I still have the strength to check smartBCH and write this article. Yey! I’m not lousy at all! Haha!
SmartBCH surprises me all the time, if not for the dump, it’s the pump. And, the pump goes to the Joystick Club! Goodness! You have to check the price on marketcap, it's crazy! However, I can’t celebrate with it because I don’t have any $Joy token in my wallet, sad life. No happy dance for me.
But, I’m still happy that I was able to have 1 joybot to stake. Gosh! Why did I not buy more when the price of joy was low. When the minting was launched, 1 joybot was just .05BCH for the 500 joy token. Now, the price has increased to more than .2BCH! Imagine! I don’t know if I should be happy or not. But, at least I have one, yah I just have to be contented I guess, hahah!
Minting is still up for joybot NFT, but a bit pricy already. However, if you have money, why not. The joystick club has been getting stronger and it’s a pretty decent project on smartBCH for some time now. What are you waiting for?! Mint that cute joybot!!!

The World Is a Pyramid
Professor Cha is an attorney, an educator, a disciplinarian and a father. He is ambitious and his expectations for his children are just insurmountable. He believes that the **world is a PYRAMID**, and that you have to strive harder to succeed in a society where people at the top enjoy more luxury in life than the ones at the bottom.
This is how he conditions the mind of his children, to study hard and their best to get accepted at prestigious universities and graduate no less than a doctor or a lawyer. The children are controlled by a mindset that they have to be great, minding their selves worth alone, pushing further and smacking any competition that hinders their way. Moreover, inculcating a vision of a PYRAMID, that they have to strive to reach the very top.
Wow! That’s just so amazing, right? He must be a great father to be thinking only the best for his children and working all possible means for them to achieve their dreams… or his dream.
Sigh. I don’t want to spoil his fatherly figure. But, this man can also be obnoxious to his children.
Well, hello and good evening everyone! I have to disturb you again with another perplexing drama. I was watching this Korean Drama Series “Sky Castle” and the inspiration popped into writing when one of Professor Cha’s children destroyed the pyramid out of so much pressure and anger, quickly blurted out, ***“Why would the world be a pyramid, when the earth is round!!!”***
Okay, that really makes sense too!
I’m not against strict parenting, and I always believe that children should be disciplined first in the home. Much more, it is also the responsibility of the parents to guide their children with their studies, and hone them to become a better version of themselves in the future.
However, how can we stop parents when they become over possessive and more ambitious, when the environment at home becomes suffocating, and when life becomes miserable because the children no longer enjoy the time of their lives?
Yah, it’s sad.
When I started watching the series, I thought how lucky for these kids to be living such luxury and minding nothing else than to study. A lot of students have been working at night and attend school during the day time to support themselves.
However, as I kept watching I can’t imagine the plight of the children from the families in Sky Castle. The pressure they have to go through and the grueling projections from their families. Indeed, **the world can never give us perfection, we might be born rich, but burdened with expectations, or be born in poverty yet enjoy the simplicity of life.**
Oh! I have to pass the burden to you. What do you think? Is the world round or a pyramid?
Anyway, whatever it is. I think it is very important that we need to balance everything in life- dream more, love more and care more.

Why People Tend to Ignore an Introvert?
Introvert - a person whose personality is characterized by introversion : a typically reserved or quiet person who tends to be introspective and enjoys spending time alone. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/introversion
I just have to start with the definition in order to avoid confusion that being an introvert is normal. We have them in the society, they can be our friend, classmate, sibling, colleague, boss, etc. However, they are often misinterpreted as snobbish, picky, killjoy, shy, and at worst some bullies would tag them as autistics. Imagine?! Of which, I would strongly disagree. Being a Physiotherapist, I once worked with Occupational Therapists in a Community-Based Rehabilitation setting and witnessed that autism is a behavioral condition or disorder, and children diagnosed with autism are seriously hard to deal with. It is something that should be dealt with medically and psychologically. So, NO, whichever case, ***no one should be bullied for being unique and special.***
Why did this topic come to light?
Well, it’s Sunday and I got free time in the afternoon. My 2 hours in the morning were spent with a patient, so I won’t call this day my off duty, sigh. Anyway, it was a day well spent with the family in the afternoon so, all good.
My sister watched the episode she missed in the TV show Pinoy Big Brother (Philippines), and while watching some segments of the show I was taken aback with the intimidating reality that being an introvert person means less useful. Would you agree with that?
This poor teen has been struggling being misunderstood by the housemates, and apart from that was a family history that he felt the same way from his very own family. He felt that he became a burden to everyone with his personality and actions in dealing with the people around him.
Moreover, it’s heartbreaking to see kids having a hard time expressing themselves and would resort to being alone, misunderstood. On top of that are his unfinished baggage of misunderstandings from his own family, and the inconvenient fact that he can’t talk to them at the moment to settle the issue. Sigh.
Though I find myself ambivert most of the time, I can still relate how it is to be introverted because somehow I tend to be acting likewise in big crowds. There is nothing wrong with that, I think we always have a choice.
Introverts, some call them timid, should not be rationalized as less useful because, for me, our lives, as unique as we are, have meaning and purpose in the world that we live in. There should be no sense of inferiority, our worth and identity does not come from our personality.
So, when people ignore you for being introvert and timid, don’t look down on yourself. We all have our value and significance. The confident and the extroverted can neither judge you and exalt themselves as the best in the flock.

Yay! 100 BCH Unlocked
Hello! Hello! What a lovely day! A beautiful 1st of April to one and all!
I arrived weary and tired this Friday night. I would love to chill with friends for a while, but I just can’t, I would prefer the comfort of my bed, with some music and just chill with my own thoughts.

Just a Joke?
Hello everyone! I was away again for some time, life happens, you know. The busy-ness gets in the way, and I’ll just have to make some priorities.
Anyway, let’s talk about the “talk of the town” or “uptown” in Hollywood yesterday. I am referring to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on stage during the Oscar Awards Night after the comedian, Chris, made a joke about Will's wife Jada Pinkett- Smith.

Jada has suffered from **Alopecia** or abnormal hair loss since 2018. Thus, bravely endured from baldness ever since, I know it can be hard for a woman to experience that considering that *the hair is a woman’s crowning glory*. It can be embarrassing, however, she attended the said event bald, yet loud and proud. She might be vocal about it, but I don’t think anyone should make her a laughing stock, especially in front of the public or worse on national television.
I don’t want to sound old fashioned or kill joy. I love people with a sense of humor, but on a self directed humor like Mr. Bean, and perhaps minding a little sensitivity towards other people. Stand up comedians, like Vice Ganda, and on this issue Chris Rock, are oftentimes using other people to deliver the job that is expected from them.
*Do you consider this bullying? Or just a joke? How can we define the line?*
In my opinion, clearly Chris Rock was on the show to entertain the audience. No doubt he delivered that, but not to the expense of others! Especially to someone that has been experiencing an illness and something that is physically unappealing.
On the other hand, I somehow agree with what other people said that Will Smith overreacted, and that he showed mood swings throughout the show. First, he laughed about it, but perhaps slapped Chris upon seeing his wife offended by the joke, he got mad and then cried and apologized at the end.
I think Chris should apologize to Jada too. But, anyway, he did not push assault charges to Will, so guess that would do.
While checking out some more videos about Will Smith, Jada Pinkett- Smith and Chris Rock, my perusal leads me to another awards night when Chris made some jokes to Will and Jada. The couple just shrugged it off that time, so perhaps Will had his wits end that awards night about all the joking thingy made in public by Chris.
My Thoughts
Patience wearing thin, after several attacks of either joke or direct verbal insult, is always possible. Even for actors and actresses, they can get annoyed too! Not everyone will take a mere joke as a joke all the time, thus anyone, even stand up comedians should think about what they say.
“Just my job,” I have seen one local comedian utter this excuse after making an insult to someone. And for me, that’s not acceptable. Would you accept a theft making a crime just because he considered it his job?
**We have to** **be responsible with our words, and actions**. Thus, slapping is not reasonable too.

Farming/ Staking Surprises!
Hello Universe! Hello Cryptoworld! I’m glad that BCH remains above the $300 mark nowadays, I’m still hoping that it will continue to ascend up to $400, $500 or perhaps $1,000! Just like the summer of last year! Wow! Fingers crossed and keeping my hopes high.
Anyway, I never thought that I have been away for like a month from my usual routine of checking my farms in smartBCH. I was indeed very busy with work in the real world. We just finished the virtual and physical inspection of the Professional Regulation Commission in my workplace. I believe we completed everything fairly enough after two weeks of preparation. So, again, my fingers crossed for a favorable result. God willing, so I can finally move on from the stress.lol!
Okay, let’s go back to the topic for today.
While checking my farms, I have seen that despite the bearish market for the past weeks, farming in smartBCH is consistent in giving passive income. Still, a great way to make use of our assets, rather than stagnate those tokens in our wallet. Some yield great and doubled, while some grow just a little, but whether big or small - it is still a growth, and a profit. I’ll be happy and thankful to accumulate them and perhaps in the near future these tokens in smartBCH and BCH as well, will run bullish.
**Candyman/WBCH in Tangoswap**
I got Candyman from the giveaways and airdrops from @carisdaneym and her team last year, and since then I started farming for this pair in Tangoswap. I love earning Tango, so I just let it sit there for some time to accumulate more Tango.
This evening, I noticed that the pair isn’t active anymore, upon checking, mine was already in the past farms. Then, I deciphered from the Telegram community of Candyman that the pair has been moved to the x2 Reward Farm a week ago. Indeed, back to Tangoswap, I was surprised that this new reward farm will make you earn both Tango and Candyman! Wow! Isn’t that awesome!
Yap! That's a screenshot from Tangoswap.cash, as you can see Candyman is added on the Harvest button. Just transferred my LP tokens to this pair earlier though, hopefully soon I can harvest both tokens from this farm.
Tangoswap.cash has been really working amazingly. First, with the SmartSwap added on Marketcap.cash, and now, the x2 Reward Farms with eight pairs to choose from. Aside from Candyman, you can also add liquidity under x2 for tokens like Honk, Narath, Konra, GoC, RMZ, ARG and KTH.
**Ember Vault**
When I got ember airdrop (from holding fire tokens) during the launch, I invested the ember to the vault in the new emberswap dex. I staked it for a month, and had completely forgotten about it, lol! However, tonight, I was desperate to gather some funds to buy an NFT, and my perusal leads me to emberswap. My memory leads me to the vault that has been overdue for like a week now, I clicked harvest and it says it will reset for another more month - and I’m fine with it. Checking the amount I harvested, I realized that it doubled the amount I staked to the vault! Wow! That was surprising actually. I never thought that it would grow that much. I hope next month will have another great earnings and a bullish round for ember!

Simple Wishes and Easy Ending
I once asked this 81- year old patient, *“what’s your goal for doing physiotherapy?”*
He replied, *“I just want to sit in my wheelchair and feel the fresh air outside.”*
This is just one of the simple wishes patients wanted, unlike ours, the things they want in life are so simple yet so difficult to do. Sometimes it crushes my heart to hear them utter these words, if only I have the power to fulfill their wishes in an instant. But, I’m not, I have to work in steps slowly and be realistic to them.

This patient specifically used to be mobile and ambulatory despite having a stroke eight years ago, in spite of his limitations he was able to live life simply and comfortably. However, a month ago, he got sick from Covid19 and since then he has gotten weak, sitting up was hard, and so he became bedridden for a month. Covid19 really sucks, if an elderly patient survived from this deadly virus upon attack, the co-morbidty during recovery would make them still miserable and futile.
He got admitted again after having stage four bed sore on his back from almost a month of lying down in bed. He was referred for physiotherapy too for conditioning and pulmonary rehab, and I was assigned to him. This was the time I asked him about his goal for physiotherapy. Usually, some patients would say I want to walk again, or I want to move my limbs. I was surprised that he just wanted to sit and feel the fresh air, so simple actually, but with his frail body and age, I don’t want to rush it and might compromise his health.
Mind you, despite of his limitations, I can feel his determination and perseverance, for a week I trained him for long sitting and gladly the blood pressure remained normal at ninety degrees of head elevation, thus after that week he was able to sit at the edge of the bed with his leg dangling.
Three days with vital signs in normal levels, though still under supplemental oxygen, I can say that perhaps we could go out for a wheelchair ride and feel the fresh air outside.

Indeed, he was elated to finally be able to go around in his wheelchair. He spent 20 minutes outside in the hospital’s mini garden, with the intravenous attachment and an oxygen tank at the back of his wheelchair. He was seated comfortably and silent the entire time, he looked peaceful and I can sense his joy for the new activity unlocked that day.
The next day, he got a low grade fever and the treatment was deferred. I was not able to see him. The following day he was advised to have a CT scan after a suspected brain infarction. I visited him, but he was no longer conscious.
Today, when I woke up in the morning, I received a text message from the caregiver that our patient passed away at around one o’clock this morning after a recurrent stroke.

Final Message
Death is inevitable. That is a reality for all of us. And how much more for geriatric patients, the Finish Line is something so near to them. However, no matter how real and certain death can be, the fact that we will be parting from them permanently is just so painful still.
This is not my first, but I can never get used to it. Seeing them almost every day and caring for them, gives me the feeling that these patients are no longer patients. They are like a father, a friend, and for doc Ben he was like a grandfather who has been so transparent and fragile.
Disability can be something like the end of everything for some. But, for a healthcare worker like me, it should not be. We have to look forward and beyond what a patient realistically wishes to achieve.
As simple as sitting in the wheelchair and feel the fresh air outside is a joy for someone before his easy ending.

World of Masks and #Club1BCH Contest
I remember, before the pandemic made havoc in our lands and laid back all the annual celebrations, the Philippines used to have spectacular festivals commemorating traditions and cultures. The Masskara Festival in Bacolod City, is one unique, jovial and colorful parade of masks all depicting happiness and a carefree vibe.

This is one of my favorite festival here in my country and every year I always made plans to visit Bacolod City during these festive days, however October has always been a busy month, if not work, it could be a family engagement that I could not afford to cancel. So, I hope all this Covid nightmare ends so we could finally go back celebrating festivals as fun as this, hopefully I could visit the Masskara Festival of Bacolod.
This festival is also a favorite for photographers to participate, well, just look at the photos! It's like a celebration of fun and colors!

Stressed Is Desserts Spelled Backward
The title was a note I have written in my tickler notebook way back time. I could no longer remember when, where and how, I must've seen this phrase somewhere, and jotted it down because it's amazing how these words were formed in a completely different manner, yet we can similarly associate both words in our lives.
Before I proceed, let me say thank you to these sweet fellas for the love and support.
Hello ladies and gents in this side of the world! A sweet evening or day to all! I just want to write something totally random today, like food, and sweets in particular, our favorite! Haha! Well, only diabetics would hate it. Actually, at some point in their lives, it has been their obsession perhaps.
I'm not totally a fond of desserts, but it's my comfort food when I'm stressed or maybe when I'm anxious about something. I think we all have this in common, a lot would agree with me. Anyone would crave for ice cream, cakes, doughnuts, pastries, milk tea, frappe, or just some bread with a spoon full of Nutella chocolate spread, in the Philippines a lot would opt for the Goya Chocolate, how about the Halo-Halo! Oh my! The list would go on more and long, well, you can help me out if you want, hehe!
Ah! I guess, I'm stressed! That I'm imagining a lot of sweets in my mind right now. Yah! Just in my mind. At this wee hour of the night, exactly 11.30 in the evening, the food that could satisfy my sweet tooth is this Nips chocolates with peanuts. I always keep one tie of it in my room, and eat one small pack whenever I want something sweet. It's delicious and crunchy because of the peanuts, and it's cheaper compared to m&m!
Anyway, speaking of ice cream, I miss this chocolate ice cream from a local restaurant and known producer of chocolates in Davao City. The *Malagos Garden Resort* offers a unique vacation and relaxing experience because of their chocolate museum and bar. Mind you, it's a paradise for any sweet enthusiast. They have all the sweets from chocolate bars to cakes and ice cream, all from their locally grown cacao.
This is the mouthwatering image of their ice cream that I took from our visit to the Chocolate Museum way, way back during our visit to Davao.
You got to try it out if you happen to visit Davao. Moreover, support local!
Next week will be my uncle's death anniversary and we will be having a small family dinner, just us actually. So, I'm already thinking of what to cook, and since my mind has been on a sweetness overload, I am planning to cook gulaman/ jelly again for our desserts! It has been some time that I haven't cooked one and I like to include this because it's so easy to prepare.
It's dessert that I won't be stressed out doing, lol!

I Swim With Sharks!

Hello guys! I'm sure you came to read this because I just made something crazy and extreme, but don't worry I'm still physically intact. I still have all of my four limbs, my head too, and of course my soul didn't depart from my body due to fear, lol! That must be something really scary to do or to dream about, but yes, I did, in my dream, lol!
I've read this new writing prompt from @JonicaBradley about "Would You Rather" and indeed, it's a good fix for days we don't have anything in mind to write about, so from her list, I picked **"Swim with sharks or alligators/crocodiles."** and she talked about bad habits, guess I have to confess mine too. https://read.cash/@JonicaBradley/writing-prompt-25-would-you-rather-fb526a93
Last week, I have written something from the promptfactory "Out Diving in Coral Sea," it's a daydream of an adventure that I would love to try, that is scuba diving in one of the most exotic diving places on earth. In the story, me and my friends declined to swim with the sharks, that was my first to see men and sharks swim together in harmony. I have learned that there are friendly sharks in the vast ocean, these are the nurse sharks, and I think I can swim with them if it's from this shark family. Perhaps next time I would definitely try to experience such extremes- with the right people, right gears and right sharks, lol! While reading some stuffs about crocodiles and alligators, these animals are always to be avoided, both are really aggressive. However, alligators are known to be less harmful than crocodiles, but still have tendencies to attack when triggered, especially when provoked or hungry, thus a big NO for me. Funny, my imagination would want me to become the friendly crocodile, haha! If you could still remember I have written an article "If I Were a Crocodile" long time ago, haha! What?! Yah, that's true. But, it's nice to transform a scariest animal 180 degrees and be the friendliest in the world! Anyway, what if crocodiles and alligators are docile? Anyway, for the confession... if you noticed from a couple of my past articles mentioned here, I have this bad habit of imagining things, haha! I just realized it now actually. No, just imagining things so I could come up with something to write about. You can try it too sometimes, actually I have read some faction, coined after real stories with a twist of the fiction genre. See, as writers, we can make things, even our imagination, valid.

Unique Families
Family, as I have known in my childhood school days, is the basic unit of society. Indeed, it is true to its definition, but nowadays, a family became a complex structure.
A few months back I have written an article about "Happiness or the best," it's about this Korean drama of a dysfunctional family where children are controlled by egocentric parents and the norm of the family's status in society. But, problematic people aren't parents only, some are the children too.
In my work I can't help notice the family of each patient I've come across. Sometimes families can be as conventional as the old days, the children are supportive, they regularly bond with their parents, and the concern is just overwhelming.
However, you may also find unique families, with super awesome to unfortunately calloused children, that often times caring for their patients and parents can be so emotionally draining. And this burden is more exhausting than the energy I have to exert physically for them.
Ironically, some elderly patients have five, six, seven children with great jobs and businesses respectively, but failed to provide the attention and financial needs of their parents. The son works as a seaman on international vessel, daughters who are nurses overseas, an architect and engineer, everyone is earning so well yet no one can pay for the CT Scan and no one can buy the medicines. Just so heartbreaking. How can someone be so insensitive to the needs of their sick and old parents?
Sometimes, I thought that having children does not guarantee that someone will be there for you on your death bed. Any mother or father can suffer and die alone and lonely. This is a sad reality as I see sometimes in elderly patients.
I have this 76 year old patient who lives with her 75 year old husband that I visit three times a week. Though they have two sons working abroad that could provide financially, but no one is around physically to support them in their needs. Thus, I have to offer some of my time to assist them in going to the hospital for bloodworks and stuffs like that. This is not part of my job, but I can't resist helping a patient who really needs help in moving around, yet only assisted by the husband who is just as old as her.
This afternoon, my inpatient was not in the mood to cooperate with his exercises. The caregiver told him in the morning that his daughter, a practicing doctor in the neighboring city was in town and might visit him. Unfortunately, she didn't come to see him and mind you it has been five years that she haven't visited them, in fact it's just a 2-hour drive away from Iligan City. Obviously, the father was upset and of course I can't help to feel bad for him. Sometimes, our financial support isn't enough, a little of our time might be a great help emotionally and psychologically for this sick and frail loved one.

As someone who can see the need, we just have to walk an extra mile for these patients who badly needed a "family," not by blood but through kindness and love.

Morning and Blessings
Good morning!
I woke up early morning today for a morning walk. I need it to at least change the usual toxic routine of everyday - wake up, rush for work, hospital, patients, and all. But, all that is a blessing that I'm so grateful for in life, so we just need to be creative in handling everything when it gets out of proportion and as I said, toxic.
Last Tuesday, we received a memo at work about a visitor from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) coming this Tuesday, at very short notice for us. This always means preparation, in the workplace, it means inspection, verification and loads of paperworks. On top of my usual load of patients are additional workloads of paperworks that needs to be done for the upcoming inspection. It's a chaos for 4 days now and since today is Sunday, I choose to leave the pressure of the verification ordeal and just mind of what's for TODAY.
Yes! God's mercies are new every morning indeed!
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;

I felt refreshed after my morning walk, it has been some time that I haven't done it. Like, 3 months now, perhaps?! Wow! Just now I realized how long it has been, before I used to do it 3x- 2x a week, but since I got busy last December, I never got a chance to wake up early for a walk. at all.
What is amazing in the morning is the cold breeze and the fresh energy. The walk will give us an opportunity to enjoy nature and take some wonderful photos. It is also a great time to reflect about life and everything, a chance to clear our head and get a proper perspective, a positive one, of course! Morning is a blessing it is!
So, this is a new timing also for me to publish an article here, usually I do it at night. However, for the past couple of nights I have been so dead tired, I can only check a bit of everything in my affairs online- Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, a wee bit of Marketcap and Metamask. I can only afford an hour to scan and helplessly my eyes would give up, off to my slumber to charge myself for the next day.
Thank God! I was able to sneak some time to write one today, and I'm so grateful too for the renewed strength every morning including a clear mind to start scribbling my thoughts. The walk this Sunday is refreshing, thank God that I was able to do it. So much to be grateful for, including everyone here and this platform, all is a blessing.

The Therapist In the Flood
My late grandmother got a stroke or Cerebrovascular accident, after her hospitalization the sister from the U.S. invited her to undergo a more comprehensive medical check-up in Chicago.
So, we fly to Chicago and my grandma was checked by great doctors. Being paralyzed on the left side of her body, she was suggested to have Physical Therapy, but since she insisted on going home after a few days, her sister paid the Physiotherapist to fly with us back to the Philippines. And I felt bad, why taking anyone else for her Physiotherapy needs when I’m a PT myself?! However, I can’t force myself into it, and let them decide what is the best as siblings.
Back in our home sweet home, the Physiotherapy went well and I am fairly satisfied with the treatment regimen my grandma has been receiving. “All good,” I told my grandaunt when she called one time by phone.
In the next few days our place got flooded after heavy rains, the flood water reached up to our hips, and the people in the neighborhood started to make small bridges made of wood from house to house that will serve as a walk path. This persisted for a week and had brought problems in our lives, including the PT treatment of my grandmother.
One morning, I saw my grandma and her Physiotherapist exercising in the floodwater, both of them were immersed in the water doing hydrotherapy! I was so mad and furious, I shouted at the therapist to stop and to bring my grandma back to her room.
I was so angry that I texted my grandaunt that she should take this therapist out of here because she’s doing insane things to the patient. I told her to call back and that we need to talk.
When the phone rings… I woke up and thank God it was just a dream. My goodness! The flood creeps even in my dreams, hahah! Crazy!
Hello guys! Another rainy day and night and vice versa for us here in the Southern part of the Philippines. I love rain, but this time it's just too much... Much that my subconscious mind would give me a dream as weird as the one above, lol!
Oh well, I wish I had gone to Chicago though and visit my grandaunt because I bet she's really old now, perhaps in her 80's.
Also, I love to dream about my late grandmother, she passed away 10 years ago and we just celebrated her death anniversary last month. I think I missed her so much, I'm always grateful to her because she always had that big heart, aww now I'm in tears. Let's end it here.

Hello guys! Just singing this song for the rain to stop and halt all the worries away about flooding, landslides, traffic and all. We already had so much trouble from two days of persistent and intense rainfall.
The rain started Saturday night and I was so elated to sleep with the cold weather, it really feels like heaven, lol! Then morning came, and I could still see the rain. I would love to stay home and be lazy but I have work, so hustle bustle outdoors despite the rainy weather. Sunday night came and the rain poured so hard, almost zero visibility while driving, the heavy traffic started to escalate due to flooding in most of the streets in the city.
All night, I can hear nothing but rain, the sound of the rain hitting the roof has been like a sound of silence during the night. I was checking Facebook and the local government already issued warnings to residents near rivers and flood-prone areas to evacuate. Rescue units were already at disposal watching for the water level on the bridges within the city. Suddenly, around midnight, I heard a loud sound up in the roof, like something huge hitting the house. In the morning, my brother saw a spare roof on our roof, which must be from a neighbor’s house! Oh my!

Sunday before sunrise, more rain and even heavier. Surprisingly, traffic started to build up in front of our house, which doesn't happen very often unless something serious like an accident or something like that occurs. I woke up early to check on our dog crying, and on the ealy local news my mom found out that there was a landslide just a kilometer away from ours, blocking the road thus explaining the traffic. Oh my…
The main bridge in the city swallowed by floodwater, no longer visible actually.
When I checked my Facebook timeline, I was dumbfounded by what I saw. The main bridge was swallowed by floodwater already, and the lane going to the city was closed after a crack was seen on the side rail. This photo below was the bridge, people living beside this area already evacuated for safety.
A steel bridge on the outskirts of the city got destroyed and no longer passable, it seems it got swallowed up as well when the floodwater rose during the night and had almost forcefully plucked the bridge out of the ground. I have memories of passing on this bridge several times before when the pandemic started, and my patient opted to be treated at home for the fear of Covid19. Now, this structure needs rehabilitation as well. On the photo below, you can see those lightweight houses unfortunately on the brink of destruction.

In normal days, you can't see any water from this perspective, this river is so shallow. I can even see kids swimming and playing during summer. But now, it's filled with water!
On my way to work, I've seen this light post bent on the road. Of course, you can't imagine the traffic, and the threat to commuters while some workers tried to fix and clear everything. But, ***life goes on, with rain, more rain and nothing but rain there is work, errands and priorities waiting for you, so. Just stay safe, I guess.***
Sigh.
This afternoon, the rain started to pour again, and this patient of mine jokingly sings this song out loud...

I just want to include this part here because ***in spite of all the trouble this calamity has caused us, we still find some humor to laugh about, brighten our day, make solutions and move on by God's grace.***

Out Diving In Coral Sea
Guys, I took your advice from my previous post seriously, indeed I deserve a break… and I deserve more.
So, me and a couple of my adventurous photography friends swung gently for an overnight trip to a remote island in the Australian continent. With the huge and blue void of the Coral Sea, the blinding orange light of the setting sun as it dipped to the horizon, this vacation was just as magical as nature. Unbelievable!
It has been more than a year that I haven’t taken my camera with me elsewhere, it seems this little baby of mine has been a stranger back again the entire time. Reuniting with my photographer friends from the past Scott Kelby Photowalk has been a breath of fresh air, I guess it’s the break that I needed for a lot of hard working days for years now.
We had begun our 700-kilometer exploratory trip into the Coral Sea. Away from the busy life of home - hospital and in between, it was a trip designed for the serious diver aboard a serious dive boat and an opportunity for wildlife encounters of the most exotic kind. We were escorted by great and amazing divers of “The Reef Explorer” who take pride in their ability to take visitors away from conventional dive sites and explore the less accessible areas.
As twilight moved in we chose a location suitable for a night dive. While some creatures seek rest and shelter, the living reefs never sleep. Gearing up on the dive platform, we were constantly disturbed by animal antics. Flying fish confused by the boat lights ploughed onto the deck board while small squid pulsated beside the bow, we’ve been laughing and busy returning them back to the sea.
The professional diver guy completed checking the equipment, and we began our descent. It was my first time to dive during night time and the cold water felt more intense. Though the full moon, clear waters and starry night helped alleviate the blackness, I was still a bit scared to try. However, I have to brush the feeling off to conquer this adventure I traversed far and long.
Early morning light skies illuminated the turquoise blue water, the sea was so peaceful and calm. Suddenly, three-meter long shadows crept in and around the breakers, both divers quickly donned their snorkeling gear, the girl grabbed her underwater camera and both silently slipped off into the water. The rest of us lacked the nerve. We waited. And, later on, we were all amazed to see baby nurse sharks leisurely continued their cruising undisturbed by their presence, indicating that they were harmless. The girl encouraged us to join, but we lacked courage, so we left them. In a not so distant area, a couple of friendly sharks joined. It seems that both of our human friends and unfamiliar friends were completely unbothered by our intrusion.
Indeed, that was one of the awesomest experiences in life and from this trip. Unfortunately, we forgot to take some snaps from our camera. Perhaps because we were mesmerized watching man and the animals enjoying the waters all together. Just an unbelievable experience.
Aloha friends near and far! Okay, this part here would be the big revelation. That was just me daydreaming for an adventure, lol! I'm still here in front of my laptop in the four corners of my room typing and in make believe, tomorrow would be another day of work - Sunday at work. Yes, you read it right. Anyhow, I still love the idea of making my dream adventures come to life in my mind, while reading your great advices from my previous article. So, thank you everyone! You inspire me. Shall We Call It a Day?
Hello guys! I have been missing in action for some time here. A couple of days back, work has been exhausting, but my thoughts would always pull me back to the cryptoverse - smartBCH and read.cash too. Not much on noise.cash, but trying to squeeze some time as well. Before heading back to bed, let me put this up, something very random and non-sense, like a diary, lol!
I have a terrible headache today, I don’t know why? But still I was able to pull it off together, work - home and everything. My mind has been preoccupied, overthinking messes my neurons in chaos I guess, like Russia attacking Ukraine, lol! However, at least I can create an instant ceasefire when I’m asleep, so all good. I can still live with it.
This morning I woke up so early wanting to write something to keep up with my usual pace of publishing every other day, that means I was supposed to publish one article last night, but I’m not inspired to create one and on top of that we lost our internet connection, so nada! I went back to sleep instead.
I got one patient for home visit around 10am and quickly transformed myself, haha! Then my mom bombarded me with lots of errands to do. I need to drop by here, there and everywhere, with rain showers, sun, traffic and all. My head started pulsating like rubber bands springing steadily inside my head. Urgh *#$"?!^:'(
So, when I got home, I took a nap for two hours (just too long for a nap, lol!). Was it a relief? Unfortunately, no. The sleep, I guess, provoked more headaches until now. How can a good sleep cause a terrible pain in my head?
I don’t know what’s wrong with today? Perhaps I’m just feeling under the weather, or maybe life right now is draining my energy. Or simply it can be because it’s hump Wednesday, haha! Yah, right I’m blaming everything except myself.
Right after dinner, I took pain medication because I could no longer tolerate the nagging pain. Somehow, it gave me some relief I think because I was able to sleep back.
Now, I immediately open my laptop, start writing anything under the sun/ or roof/ or stars, and hopefully be productive despite this annoying predicament that deranges my entire day.

Forgive and Forgive
People said that we have to “Forgive and forget” for peace of mind. But in reality, it’s hard to forget! Oftentimes, we fake our emotions and pretend that we have moved on, however, when life brings back those memories on the table, the pain would hunt us over again.
This afternoon I got the entire time all for myself, and Netflix is on the rescue to keep my company. I watched this film from Sandra Bullock “The Unforgivable” and oh my! I was a cry baby watching it. I thought it’s an old movie, but when I checked it further online it was just released last year in 2021, and I’m glad Netflix had it for everyone to see and appreciate during this time of pandemic because it is really worth your time.

Anyway, the character of Ruth Slater was just so sad and truly full of sacrifices for her only younger sister that was taken away from her, and the finale of this story will just surprise you how tragic her choices were.
Ruth spent twenty years in prison for killing a cop. Yes, twenty long years, yet that was a parole for her for displaying good behavior in prison. I think that was just long enough! Though if I’m the victim, lifetime imprisonment would never be enough. However, this case was different, read further to understand why I have to take sides with a cop killer.
After prison, it was literally a sad life for Ruth to start over and to search for her stolen past- her sister. She struggled to get the job that she wanted, and to bond with friends and perhaps a partner that would accept her flawed past.
All along while Ruth struggled to live the new life she had out of the cell, the siblings of the murdered cop still can't accept the fact that life goes on for her. She was unforgiven despite of paying her crime in prison. The brother siblings were relentlessly spying over her since day one of freedom, and were still haunted by the pain brought about by that tragic death of their father. This pain recklessly led to another tragic event that brought a blessing in disguise for Ruth to find her sister.
The twist and turn in the story also revealed that Ruth in spite of her twenty years of jail time, despite the ridicule she was tagged as a killer, and the sad life she had gone through, was the truth she only knew - she didn’t kill the cop. Yes, that was unexpected. Sorry for the spoiler. But, you got to watch it still to know who was the killer.
**Life Lessons:**
Our choices can make or break us. For Ruth, the choice she made to admit the crime and conceal the truth took her to a miserable future, but following the story, she was never regretful of it. Guess, in life we need to make compromises for the people we love and perhaps accept life as it is. Moreover, keeping the faith that life will turn in favor for us in the future.
On the other hand, a lesson from the siblings, I understand that to “Forgive and forget” is almost next to impossible. Our mind would never allow us to forget things that easily. However, we can “Forgive and forgive again.” Must be a difficult thing to do as well, but the grace of God will deliver us from that pain. And if forgetting is impossible, healing is always possible in Him. I might not be in such a position, but I experienced a painful past too. I can still remember up to now how a special someone cheated on me, but it’s a grace from God to finally move on and say that I am not hurting anymore.

Anyone deserves a good sleep at night. So, fix it.

The Present Lad, The Future World of Masks And In Between
Mabuhay! I love to greet everyone with that Filipino word with so much vigor and positivity because everything looks so good and promising in SmartBCH. In spite of Bitcoin Cash dumping again, projects in the BCH sidechain grow extensively, of course with all brilliant minds working together for the future of Bitcoin Cash.
Now, let’s get back to business..
I have been away for a couple of days from the smartBCH ecosystem, the only accessible connection I could make by far is on Twitter and Telegram through my mobile phone. And, I was so surprised to see great projects showing updates for their upcoming features. First, the **Gambling Apes Club NFT** with their new marketplace, and **Tropical Finance** sneak peek of a new stunning Guitar Heroes mint page and marketplace. Wow! I so love the website, it's cool and truly… stunning!
While checking on my NFTs on Oasis wallet, I was thrilled to see **The Present Lad** airdrop was already distributed to The Forgotten Lad holders. Well, if you noticed the present one looks really good compared to the previous lad, the evolution was indeed remarkable, except for the blue face, haha! Oh well, I love the necklace with the BCH logo though. Anyway, I wonder if his story is in sync with my forgotten one, should I make a part 2?

Dragon Ball Z In Open Sesame
I'm dead tired to write something for read.cash yesterday because it's Tuesday. I’m supposed to publish an article, but I’m physically exhausted with work - loaded with patients and more patients, coming like zombies, and eventually devouring me like a zombie as well at the end of the day. I went home with a headache and my strength can only afford to eat my dinner, a shower and the much awaited sleep. Nada. Just singing zZZzz to dreamland…
Anyway, today is Wednesday and it has been a lovely one, so let’s do it. Something funny for you today, and try not to laugh will yah?! Hehe!
The Philippine government modernization program has been slowly taking its way to the provinces, ours included. One noticeable improvement that we have been enjoying was the air-conditioned mini-bus serving the public in some parts of the city for like a year now already. It does bring a big threat to the traditional jeepneys, because I for one love the convenience it brings.
Anyway, this morning while commuting to work, I couldn’t help but notice how adorable this one child does while the bus door opens and closes. Whenever the door starts to sound its signal for the door opening and closing, this little boy mimics the action of Son Goku in Dragon Ball Z. The popular kamehameha wave. So, he opened both of his palms and extended it in the air pointing to the door, and boom! The door moves! LOL! That was really adorable. However, this is funny too because it reminded me of this political ad by the Vice President of the Philippines herself. Mind you, everyone on the bus had a good laugh watching the child, I bet they can remember someone too at the back of their mind.
As for me it reminded me too of an experience one late afternoon, riding on the MRT train in Metro Manila and while waiting for my stop. A few of the passengers in the train, including me, were all entertained by this kid who kept shouting *“open sesame”* as the door opened and “*close sesame”* as it closed. The train approached Shaw Blvd., I’m still amused watching him as he commands the door in open sesame, and later I realized that I’m supposed to get out of that stop after the door closes. Yikes! Stupid me. Now, I have to pay going back, sigh...

Meet The Land Baron
What a delight to wake up to the warmth of the sunlight peeping up in my bedroom window, of a log house built near the sea with a view of the blue waters and the beautiful garden of flowers in the backyard, well sculpted thick bushes, big trees, and serene environment.
This was the view that I got to see every weekend, one of the most treasured assets I have bought with my cryptocurrency investments. With my huge shareholding, I have the money to indulge my latest passion: land and real estate. In my 3o's I have this dominant figure in my network, with the largest share in Lyke Real Estate Development Company, owning more than a hundred million shares, or some twenty percent of the company.
Several things have been driving me in this new obsession. There is a heritage of a depression- era when my grandmother has been forced to sell her Bukidnon rubber farm due to some unlucky and tragic turnover in the business. My granny since then rented some lands in order to continue what she knows most- farming. That particular time in my childhood, I have said to myself "someday I am going to own so much land that I would never have to rent for my farmland." In addition, I grow up with my parents who had been renting apartments here and there. Before my teen years, my mom got her inheritance - a small parcel of land, for us to build a home. This memory forged my dream, that a land is the only thing that lasts.
Earlier, I have bought plantations in Bukidnon and Davao, currently developing a housing project in the Visayas, an island off the coast in Bohol, and a lavish penthouse atop one of the towers in Makati.
For all this wealth, the primary home for me and my family is a surprisingly modest two-story Bungalow house on a ranch near Baguio City. The opulence there is provided by nature. The house has a 2-acre lake in front of it and a view of the mountainous Cordillera.
I have made donations to conservation groups, and has placed this ranch in the largest preservation easement in the Luzon provinces, so it can never be further developed. I was able to bring back more horses in the region, even those 19th century plants and few more trees, this favors the return of those used to be common birds in the area.
Now, in this effort we could preserve nature and leave the wild and the farmlands at its finest.
Indeed, there is something we can do for mother nature, and the rich and the mighty can do so much more to conserve our environment.
Yay! What a wonderful life to dream and to live someday, haha! It has always been on my bucket list to buy lands, properties, and even an island! This article would be a dream come true, however for now this is just daydreaming in words, lol!

Delusions of Grandeur
Let me start with the definition of it, which is more clear and concise from a page in webmd.com about delusional disorders.
Delusions of grandeur are one of the more common ones. It’s when you believe that you have more power, wealth, smarts, or other grand traits than is true. Some people mistakenly call it “illusions” of grandeur. I first encountered this word in my Psychology class, during the exam I answered "Illusions of Grandeur" and our professor marked it wrong because it should be Delusion, anyway, since then I can't forget about it.
Lately, I heard my colleagues discussing about this popular Netflix exclusive series "Inventing Anna," and I got intrigued when they said that it's a real life story about a narcissistic person who was able to fool around the elites and the big banking firms in New York.

I then watched it, and mind you I finished it fast because I love it! Not because of her insanity, but because my memory took me back to our Psychology class. The classic signs of Delusions of Grandeur are so fitting in my opinion.
Her delusions kept going back to his wealthy German father that will be handing out her inheritance at the age of 25. But, her driven self would want to go out to the world and make money. She has this delusion that her family does not support her passion and kept on seeing the mistakes she made. While she has proven herself strong, confident and smart, she's also ridiculously insane in orchestrating scams to fulfill her lifestyle and power.
What supports the fact that Anna was living in delusion? The journalist who wrote an article about Anna from Manhattan's Magazine made a thorough research and interviews from the people and friends of Anna. The article became popular all over the internet and in all social media platforms, that even stirred more curiosity to the author to fly all the way to Germany to dig more about the roots of this so called "German heiress."
Moreover, this exposes Anna even in her childhood, was indeed a narcissist, no doubt as her former classmates would say. She loves herself and wouldn't even care about what others might think and feel. You can't even see any remorse from her after being convicted. You can see her cry, not because she feels sorry for her actions, but rather disappointed why people won't give her the chance to succeed.
**Last Thoughts:**
This mental illness can be around us, in our peers or relatives. Just sad, that we can't help them because we fail to see that this is a disorder of the mind, not just what we often call "gold-digger" attitude, or perhaps just an ambitious pursuit of our dreams. If these people could get help early on, then maybe they could've avoided the rude comments social media brings, or worst the cold prison.
Anyway, one thing I love from this film and with her was her drive and passion to make her ambitions work was superbly hardcore, still I don't think that it has to be done insanely like scamming people of their money and making the world believe that you are some kind of a "German heiress."

Well, this quote from her thus sounds inspiring though. We can always look forward to that bright future, make it stir your heart and soul to work for it, but with a heart...

Undead Valentine
Boo!!! Hahaha! Not yet Halloween, but I kinda felt it while making this poem for @PVMihalache and @ArtistByron Valentine’s day NFT giveaway. So, the rules are simple: make a card and play with the words: magor, horde and zickle in a poem. Share it on Twitter with the tag #ZickleLove.
So, here’s my take:
Anyway, my editing skills sucks because I keep getting errors with the colors and it really took me too much time to make the card than to come up with the poem. I used the Canva app for this, and I don’t know why or how but the colors mess up while I drag the text box on the card. I don’t know, I’m just glad that I got it done and still love the result, while trying to get the theme of zickle love vibe alive.
Moreover, I guess this is what I frequently get when I try to complete a task in a rush. Whenever I want to hasten things, it seems the odds won’t go in my favor. Thus, I keep making mistakes, errors come here and there, and delays become inevitable. Sigh.
Honestly, I got annoyed and wanted to stop, but this was something I planned to do earlier, and perhaps write about it too here in read.cash because my neurons aren’t cooperating on any topic at the moment. So, i’ll just have to breathe in and out, and continue.
*“Slowly but surely,”* is the key perhaps.
Time check, already 12.30AM now here in the Philippines, Valentine’s day. So, happy Valentine's day everyone!
Undead valentine’s, again. No special plans whatsoever. But, I love it.
As Toni Gonzaga said, *“never cancel yourself.”*
I just want to borrow that line from her because it holds some truth. Sometimes, people might disagree with us, a lot might hate and dislike us. But, we have to stay true to ourselves. I mean, how can you end up hating yourself too, after everyone in the world despises you, right? If you knew that you did nothing wrong, then keep your head up.
So, this valentine’s day, love yourself more. Give yourself a big hug and tap on the back for being YOU. Cherish the people close to you, like your family and friends, for they too believed in your strengths and abilities.
Okay, back to reality. Tomorrow is a working day, and I have to wake up early for work. That’s the plan actually haha! And, of course, buy a cake for my parents that we can share for heart’s day dinner at home. My brother will be cooking our favorite kare-kare, that I am so excited about anyway!

It's Friday, I'm In Love
Happy Love Month to all my lovely readers!
I just love this cover version of the song "Friday I'm in Love" by Phoebe Bridgers, originally an upbeat song by The Cure way back in the 90's.
I fell in love with the version of this song when I heard it in the Money Heist Season Five, as the background music when Lisbon, Tokyo and Monica walked out of the building, waving a white flag. Anyway, who hates Friday?! Everyone loves this day because it follows the much awaited weekend, days wherein we can be legally lazy, haha! Not for me actually, often times I have on-call duties on weekends, but at least there is always the probability of a break from work.
Thank God it's Friday! Most people would popularly tag that line for the much awaited Friday. Others would have an under time at work to prepare for travel plans during the weekend, and some would hang out during Friday night with friends.
So, yes! It's Friday, I'm in love!
Today, at dinner we went to this new Korean local Noona's diner in the city and I'm glad we went early before the place got jam packed with people. The place is a bit small, but cozy and homey. I failed to take some pictures of the place because my colleagues and I have been so busy talking about our business in the workplace, in short just playing 'Marites' haha!
We ordered the famous Samgyupsal, the bundle is good for 2-3 people and since we are five, we ordered two. It already includes the meat, rice, side dishes and the drinks. The price is really affordable, for the two orders we paid around $15 only. And, we enjoyed everything that was served - the side dishes are all good, and the kimchi is not so spicy, which is really good for me because I don't like super hot and spicy foods.
Of course, the food and the experience are great with awesome people around. With chit chats, some laughs, and in between, Friday is love.
Live and love, love and live.
Some would say that life is sad. Was it really sad all the time? Like for a lifetime?
**If life is all about luck, would you claim bad luck? If life is about choices, would you choose to be miserable?**
Of course NOT!
This was one of our topic tonight with my friends over dinner, after an encounter with a new colleague having anxiety attacks. I know, no words can console anyone under this spell. And, only by the grace of God one can find true healing and comfort.
Life can be hard and challenging and messy and sad.. and all. But, we have to choose happiness or joy, hope and love. Moreover, claim abundance and life!
Love and live the life that you have, its value is yours to cherish, not to waste.
This hearts day, love others and love yourself too.

Please Remind Me To Remind You...
Lol! A friend of mine just told me that earlier this evening when we had our conversation on the phone, and we both have a good laugh at ourselves seeing how I got confused about reminding me to remind her about this reminder lol!
I said, "wha.. whaat?"
Sometimes, we often said this line to our friends, colleagues, or to our siblings or partners that we need to be reminded of something that we might end forgetting at the end of the day. Oh! Well, we all have those silly moments of forgetfulness, right?
I was reminded of this friend in high school that I frequently meet every duty hours not so long ago, when she worked for quite some time as an office assistant. Well, I think she’s more than that because her loyalty to the company and with her boss was just extraordinary. His boss, a manager of Philweb, is like a friend of us since we are acquainted with him and his family for some time.
One day on our usual meet up after work over dinner, my friend was laughing narrating to me that earlier, while his boss was away, the wife called and since the husband was not around, she left a message to tell him that she called, and that she wanted to remind him of one thing she forgot and that he might remember. Hahaha! My friend said okay, but confused. When the boss arrived an hour later, she told him about it, he just frowned, and nodded.
Aha! I wonder what it is?! Haha! Uh ah, no green jokes on the back of our minds.
Now, again, people… Are we this forgetful? Do we put our hopes on other people to remember things for us? Or does the couple has unique ways of communicating, LOL!
But, seriously, why do we have this memory gap?
My sister has this silly forgetfulness sometimes and she would blame the anesthesia during cesarean section years ago, others would blame the frequent fast-food cravings, and a lot more of junkfoods we are having nowadays.
Anyway, whatever excuses we have, let us all be mindful of our mental health. It says reading is a great habit to take care of our mind, or our brain. And, I guess it's true.
I have a 91 year old patient with really good memory, she used to be a school teacher and according to her, she loves to read books before her eyesight gets more blurry. Now, I noticed that though she's not reading books anymore with her eyes, she is still reading with audiobooks. You see, technology offers a great help to her at this age.
I think read.cash is really giving us a lot of advantages in this pursuit for a better mental health, eh?

Burned But UnForgotten Lad
Sleep finally came at dawn on that first night in the Burn Ward, and I didn’t waken until mid morning. It wasn’t the screaming that woke me up; it was a pleasant voice greeting me.
*“I expect you could use a coffee for that,”* the stranger said.
Painfully I rolled my head sideways. My visitor was a shocking sight, an ambulatory patient so cruelly burned that hardly a shred of true skin clung to his body above his pajama pants. He held out a cup of a seemingly ordinary instant coffee. As usual that didn’t work, the blisters on my left arm and upper back nags me all the time.
This burned entertaining lad, perhaps in his 20’s was a fellow southerner, I can tell from his accent. He was a soldier, who had been burned during a gasoline explosion. Most people in the ward call him “Sir.” I never did learn his real name.
*“Are you starting your baths this morning?”* he asked. *“They ain’t no fun, you’ll get through them, I’ll be waiting here to talk when you come out. You’ll forget the pain quicker than you think.”*
Indeed, the first bath was a frightening experience. My litter swung over a pool of tepid water, I lowered my body until I was fully immersed. After I had soaked long enough to soften the skin, a Doctor with tweezers pulled the dying skin and flesh from my body in strips. Before it was over, the Physiotherapist took over to teach me some simple exercises to make my arms and neck flexible despite the extensive wound.
*“It’s part of being burned,”* the young doctor said to me. Indeed, all patients tremble in the burn ward.
When I came back from the first bath, I found Sir, true to his promise, beside my bed to talk away my fright.
*“I can’t go back there again,”* I said to him.
For the first time, his voice was sharp.”You will go back. This is how we get by here. Every bath you finish is one more bath behind you. You thank God for every day and every bath, and you don’t think about the ones to come.”
Then he switched to other topics and, as his voice droned on, the torture of the bath receded. Slowly I unclenched my teeth, and eventually I began to talk of myself. To escape the painful present, I fled into the memories of the past for every summer vacation I had with my family. Sir talked nostalgically for a while too, especially about his wife. But, with optimism, he fled mostly in the future. About his plans of opening a repair shop when he finally gets out of the hospital.
No miracle of plastic surgery, I believed sadly, was ever going to be able to fix this man’s face. Yet he talked with such contagious excitement about serving the public in his shop, and his overwhelming courage to go through the baths and painful skin graft one after another.
I was ashamed of my fear and instead thanked God that I had just one graft to undergo and not my friend’s “one after another.”
Finally, the day arrived when the baths and tweezers had removed all the skin and flesh that would slough off me. The doctors began my skin graft. For five days, I lay flat on my stomach, forbidden to move. Sir was more often than ever at my side - with a story, a coffee, all warding off the horrors.
About then, a fire ignited in a building nearby, and the ward population increased overnight. Sir moved constantly among the newcomers, providing warmth everywhere, helping, strengthening, and inspiring.
My graft was uncommonly successful and quick to heal. As the day for my release approached, I felt guilty about my rapid recovery. When I looked at Sir, it just didn’t seem fair. But, he was delighted by my good recovery.
The Forgotten Lads NFT is an art project that portrays stories of any one's life. And, for me, I choose to make this story for my Forgotten Lad. Well, actually his story was remarkable, so he is Unforgotten Lad, simply on red shirt spotless of any burned skin.
This is fiction, with some facts, and you can actually tell where I am in this story.

Hope, Faith, Love... And Joybot!
Hello, hello, hello my jolly friends in the cryptoverse!
Just another random chit chat again from yours truly. So bear with me.
Anyway, a lot of things are going on right now with life. I’m not busy actually, but there are certain things in life that bugs my mind at the moment. Thus, I want to borrow this famous line every Christmas time - Hope, Faith, Love.
I put together this meme last December 2021, when the joystick club on Twitter initiated a meme contest, I thought why not share it here and borrow the line, lol!
After all, I pray for hope and faith, with all the uncertainties in the future, who knows where and how life would take us.
Last year I had some plans lined up and I have a couple of those accomplished already. Now, the most important part of the plan is beyond my control, and this bothers me. Of course, my melancholic- choleric temperament wanted to control and handle them fast and efficient because this is for my future! I have to do something! But, I can’t so, sigh. I’ll rest my cares to the Lord, and faith will keep me sane. I will lift everything in my prayers, and He will give me peace despite of ... OVERTHINKING.
