"Be Careful with your Choice of Words".
Famous saying says " A tongue has no Bones but strong enough to break a heart. So be careful with your words". (Source). For me it could not only HURT but could even Kill.
One day left for the incoming NATIONAL election here in my country, Philippines. Grand rally was been held by all presidential aspirants yesterday and Social media has been so chaotic and stressful. Since I am old enough to understand everything, I could say this is the most controversial election for the past years.
Maybe it was because of the two presidential candidates , Vice President Leni Robredo and Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos (BBM). It was controversial because BBM was the son of the former 10th President of the Philippines from 1965 to 1986. If you are wondering why, you may read this link. I don't want to discuss anything about it because others may not like what I am going to say.
Many were throwing different allegations to BBM and even filed for disqualification cases for him. On the other side many were also supporting VP Robredo. Even the local actresses here in our country are joining house to house campaigns for her.
So what makes everything chaos? Some supporters are fighting on social media. Exchanging hurtful words which are sometimes below the belt. Honestly speaking it was an eyesore to my eyes. As a matter of fact, I already unfriend, unfollow some friends on Facebook because I find them toxic.
Everyone has their own political views, if someone doesn't have the same as yours don't be mad. You don't need to say some hurtful words against them. Sadly, that is what is happening now.
Everything was in chaos to the point that a son of one aspiring Senators Loren Legarda who supported Uniteam or BBM even wrote an open letter to express his disgust. In the end he said that wanted everyone to know that her mother lost him forever.
It was so heartbreaking to read. I may not be a mother nor Ms. Legarda but those words were so painful that could stab a mother's heart and enough to make her bleed.
I was asking myself, was it really necessary? It's hard to judge if you are not in their shoes, but I could not understand why his son chose to write an open letter.
All I can say, this coming election destroyed a lot of relationships even a family.
If you want to read the letter here is the full link.
Not only that, just this morning I read another sad news. One University student committed suicide because he was allegedly bullied by his Professor because they don't have the same political views. Screenshots of their conversation in comments sections in Facebook were uploaded online. They are supporting different presidential bets.
As of now his teacher already deactivated his Facebook account and I am still waiting for a news update. I did check his profile and read their conversations but what saddened me are some nonsense comments against the victim.
I don't know what is happening, can't we just support our candidates without those hurtful words?
Personally I am a BBM supporter but if you chose VP Leni, Isko, Ping or even Pacquiao it is fine. That's okay. I perfectly understand that we have different political views. Elections will soon to end and new President will be elected, so we should be at least be careful with our choice of words.
Aside from that we are just a normal citizen of the Philippines, whoever is gonna win, our life would be the same. We still need to work hard in order to live. Our success is still in our hands, not on the newly elected President.

Words are more sparkler than a Sword. Words can really kills. A great warrior who doesn’t losses war can be disappointed by a word that hurts.
