The Blind Trust
October 29, 2022World is full of surprises and surprised people. They are different kind of people. In my point of view, there are the following four categories of people.
Kind & Generous: They want to live for others
Nice: They do good in return of something else
Greedy: They want to have everything with them, however it doesn't matter to them if other has or hasn't it
Worst: They want everything. Not only they want everything but rather they hate others to have any of those things they want. Sometimes they take those things from them by force or via some alternative methods.
Background
I hope you about my best friend and classmate @KomalWaheed. For those they don't know about her a short intro about her.
She belongs to a poor or maybe s middle class family. He father is clerk, all her siblings have been getting education. His father is the only source of income and an honest employee. For a father of a middle class, who is an honest clerk and the only source of income it i dificult to meet household and educational expenses. However, he has been providing every facility to his children required for education.
Komal Waheed is one of the girls who has been supporting their families. She being a responsible member of the family has been working as a freelancer and sewing clothes to support her father.
Though her father tell her to focus on studies, but she says, the work won't disturb her studies.
She is a student of Bachelor of Computer Science, 7th semester (my classmate). I won't say, she is position holder but very good at studies and got, I guess, 3.38 CGPA so far.
That was a brief intro about her.
The Blind Trust
She had a customer for whom she had been developing apps. She already delivered a few small apps.
Around two months ago, he ask her to develop an app, she was promised the quicker she deliver the app the more she will be be paid. Since she needed semester fee, more or less $300, to deposit. She worked hard and delivered the app ASAP. You may find more about it in My project my everything.
The fee required for current semester is:
Fee for the semester is: Rs.38000/- (~$ 175)
Bus charges for the semester:28000/- (~$ 130)
TOTAL AMOUNT REQUIRED: Rs.66000/- (~$ 305)
After submission she long waited for his reply. After a week or more he responded and asked her he will check the app and will be back in few days. After days as promised he again showed and asked her for some minor corrections, bugs etc, which she did within no day.
Another few days passed away, again a minor bugs.... She fixed and submitted the final version.
Boooom!!
She got.....
NOTHING
His WhatsApp is offline, no response from email either..... even nothing. Full silence.
She was expecting around 70% - 80% of the semester dues (around $220 -$250) to be covered from that app but the blind trust ruined everything.
He earned her trust by asking her a few small apps, and suddenly for a big one and that the end.
Why people do like this? Play with the trust of others. Now she learned her lesson but it is too far away.
I supported her to pay semester due but she will return every penny back that's all I know about her. I guess I should have not mention here but I did.

Closing Arguments
Blind trust can be harmful and lead to failure sometimes. In this case, she should have used the forums live Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancers etc. Or I guess she should have either requested a milestone or she should have provided a trail version of the app.
Everyone cannot be a good one. Not every person has feelings. I know how hurt she was, when she finally come to the conclusion that her day night struggle given her nothing.
Always trust yourself, but never trust others more than yourself, especially when you don't know them or when it is about soft things.

Encourage her in her last blog, that is all in want and matter.
