Now is not the time to panic

Hello everyone, how are you doing? I have been very busy recently working on a coding project I started on Sunday. Things have been going smoothly until I hit a roadblock today, it gave me lots of headaches trying to figure out what went wrong and I finally gave up after several hours of trying.

After taking care of other things in my life and taking a break for a while, I went back to the project this evening but I still couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. So at last I decided to check YouTube to see if I can find a tutorial that talked about the aspect I was having problems with and I found one. After watching it, I finally realized my mistake and I became very excited. I just have to finish this article so I can go back to it 😁

The main topic for today is going to be talking about recent activities on readcash and the various rumors flying around. I know it's not news to most of us that rusty has been behaving weird for the past few days and that has fueled various rumors going around and the main one is that readcash is closing soon.

Another thing that fueled that particular rumor is the fact that the number of daily published articles has reduced, most people (including me) interpreted it as people leaving because of Rusty's recent behavior. But I later realized that we are just jumping to conclusions and making assumptions that are probably not true. Nobody is certain about what is going on, so why panic and create unnecessary assumptions?

Let me first of all address the second issue which is about daily published articles. The truth is that a lot of people have become too busy with activities in the real world. For example, I made mention that I have been working on a project since Sunday and it takes up a lot of my time but I am still able to find time to interact here daily and publish articles because I can decide to pause the project for some time while I work on other things

But we can't say the same for other people who have real jobs out there. They go to work in the morning and return in the evening, and they still have to take care of things at home. Sometimes I wonder how people even have the energy to still come online and publish articles despite being engaged with work in the real world. I remember asking @jane if she's human 😆 because she's always active here even though she has a job that takes up her time every day.

I have only made mention of jobs in the real world taking up most people's time, but do you know that some people might be sick right now? In as much as we are grinding here every day to save up some money, we shouldn't do that to the detriment of our health. Most people take breaks whenever they are stressed out from writing, so that too is another option to consider.

Now let's face the elephant in the room; rusty. He has been visiting a lot less than before and this is not only happening to me but to a lot of people as well. But I still keep a cool head about the whole thing and you know why? Because I know several factors are behind it but the major one is the price of BCH.

I actually expected rusty to reduce his tipping power since the BCH market crashed but funny enough he actually increased it for some people (like me). Now the reason why I expected him to reduce it is that him giving you $5 when the price of BCH is around $400 and he is still giving you the same 5$ now that BCH is around $185 is overreaching if you think about it.

What that means is that what he is giving you has actually doubled, but the price of BCH will make it look like it's the same thing. The problem comes in because we are thinking in terms of dollars and not Satoshi. Look at the number of BCH rusty gives you 3 months ago and compare it to what you're earning now, you will discover that what you're getting now is higher.

Back in the day, if you have $200 worth of BCH, that's just around 0.5BCH, but now you can have 1BCH in your wallet and the price is just $180, you see the point I am trying to make? You actually have more BCH than before, but the price will make you think you have lower, and that's where the problem lies.

So, instead of panicking over things you can't control, why not focus on the things within your power? I think they are actually updating Rusty's algorithm to make him adapt to the current situation, but I might be wrong. For now, it's best if we just focus on what we have been doing and continue saving more BCH, you will have more than what you have now when the price pumps. All we can do for now is to be patient and hope things get better soon.
