I got the idea for this article while reading @FarmGirl article a few days ago where she was talking about the importance of taking care of our health and why we shouldn't place wealth above health (check out her article: don't lose everything).

We all know she's right when she said health is wealth, we have heard this so many times and we all know it's true. But on the other hand, isn't wealth also health? I mean, being healthy isn't a difficult thing for wealthy people.
I'm just being theoretical here but in reality, it isn't so and that's because there's one thing that comes with being rich; you can eat whatever you want. Because they can eat whatever they want, some rich people end up with health issues like diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol, and others.
Theoretically speaking, wealthy people stand a higher chance of taking better care of their health compared to low-income earners. Healthy food is very expensive, which makes poor people settle for low-quality foods. They are more concerned with filling their stomach and surviving that day than focusing on healthy foods.

The rich, however, do not get faced with the problem of expensive food since they can easily afford it. Take for example Cristiano Ronaldo, have you seen what his diet looks like? He eats six times a day, how many people can even afford to eat 3 square meals?
He doesn't take anything sugary or even frozen, he takes almost everything fresh and he exercises a lot (a hell lot). That's the reason why he has a body of a 20 something years old teenager (he is 36 years old)
But does this mean you can't maintain your health if you're not Ronaldo? Of course not, you can take care of your health by eating lots of fruits and vegetables. There's a reason why I said healthy food is expensive and that's because the ingredients that go into making them are expensive as well.
Before now, whenever I'm hungry in school I usually opt-in for snacks and soft drinks because it's less expensive compare to buying food in restaurants. I'm basically just accumulating sugar in my body because the snacks I usually buy aren't up to standard and that's what makes them cheap.
But these days I can now afford to eat in restaurants,(all thanks toΒ read.cashΒ π) and I also buy fruits most times. Some persons can't even afford to eat a balanced meal, they end up cooking a meal without animal protein (fish, meat, and egg).
Having all the money in the world doesn't actually mean you can go all out and start adding lots of different ingredients and items in your meal you will just end up with heart disease or something else.
Moderation is key when it comes to healthy living and that's why Ronaldo has a personal dietician. It's not just all about having access to all you can eat, it's about knowing what to eat and when to eat them.
Knowledge is power and when it comes to health, some wealthy people don't have the knowledge to follow the right path. Those that do know also have the money to stick to a healthy lifestyle.

But it's not only about knowing, it's also about discipline. Do you know what it means to avoid anything sugary? (I'm talking about Ronaldo's diet). Can you keep up with that lifestyle? I certainly can't π I will end up taking ice cream at one point or the other.
Another reason why I think wealth is very important when it comes to health is because of medical emergencies. Whenever there is an emergency that requires an urgent medical condition, the wealthy person wastes no time in footing the bill but what about the poor man? Sometimes they have no money to take care of the bills and some of them end up losing their lives because of that.
Closing thoughts
While it's important for us to take care of our health, it's a lot easier when we have the money to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Although, being wealthy doesn't necessarily mean we are free from all health issues, but it considerably lowers the odds of dying due to complications.
Health is truly wealth and that's because it's only a person that's alive and healthy that will be able to enjoy his/her money. But also, we all need money to properly take care of our health.
I can't say which one is more important or rather I wouldn't say any is more important when it comes to health and wealth, they are both needed to make our life easier.
These are just my thoughts and who knows, I may be wrong about how I see things. I will actually love to hear from you guys in case you have a contrary opinion to all that I have said here π
A big thanks to @Infinity for renewing his sponsorship. Thank you very much sir, I also noticed you increased it, and for that I'm truly grateful. God bless you abundantly π€
