A Birthday Celebration Along With Nature
0220602022
Happy Wednesday, my lovely read.cash buddies! How's it going? I hope you guys had a great day and a great start to the week. I was inactive once again for a few days because I was so busy these past few days and I didn't have much time to interact on this platform. And even today, while I was typing this one, I am still a bit busy because I'm at the front office right now. The reasons why I have been inactive these past few days are that last Saturday we went to one of our aunt's places to celebrate her birthday and then on Sunday, we had a family gathering.
Last Saturday we went to our aunt's place, which is in the highlands, but thank goodness that we won't be walking all the way to their home because it's a bit far. I wasn't supposed to go with them because I was not in the mood, but one of my cousins forced me to go with them. We arrived there a few minutes late since we were riding on a motorcycle, and I did not regret going with them because the view when we arrived at our aunt's place was breathtaking. I was in awe when I arrived at their place. The peaceful view in the highlands and the beauty of nature are so refreshing.
Their place was a perfect place if you needed to isolate yourself from the toxic and busy city life and a perfect place to be with nature. It’s like you are really in a paradise because of the mountain and the ocean views from the top. Their house was a bit far, and we still needed to walk a few meters to get to where their house is, and since it’s located at the top, it was still a very tiring walk even though it was just a few meters away. The setting and surroundings are typical of provincial life.
When we arrived, they had already prepared some foods and my other cousins, who arrived first before us, were helping our aunt cook some foods, such as our famous lumpia. I also helped her wrap the lumpia. There are a lot of fruits and vegetables outside their house, especially their mini garden that was filled with a lot of vegetables. After all the foods were already cooked, we then prepared the table in their nepa hut outside their house. We had our lunch just right outside of their house, looking at the breathtaking scenery.
After we had our lunch, we took a rest first under their lime tree. They have a lot of limes outside their house and we even take home some. After a few hours of taking a rest after we had our lunch, we then went to another place along with my other cousins to get some coconut because we would be making "Buko Juice". I told my cousin that I would also be going with them, and I thought that it was just near because our aunt said it was just right there on the other side of the road. But then to my surprise, it’s not near at all. It’s a bit far, but not too far. But what makes it tiring is that we’re walking under the very hot sun and it was 2 in the afternoon, which makes it even hotter.
We took a few coconuts and some pineapples we saw on our way back to our aunt’s house.
It was already 6 pm when we decided to go home, but then our uncle wanted to take a dip in a spring located a few meters away from our aunt’s house. So we decided to go there before going home. When we arrived at the spring, it was so dark and the spring was right under a huge tree circling around the spring. What makes it even more creepy is that the house right in front of the spring is an old abandoned house. LOL. That is why I was not able to take a proper photo of the spring and the trees that were covering it because it was too dark.
It was only me and my other cousin who didn’t take a dip in the spring because it was also freaking cold. We only dipped our feet while the boys were swimming. It was exactly 7 p.m. when we headed home, and the road was also dark, and the only lights you’ll see were the lights coming from the houses across the road. But we arrived home safely.
