Heya! Happy Thursday! Today will be a learning day. I forgot the last Thursday that it is supposed to be a learning blog, haha! Maybe I am getting older and forgetful.
But anyway, as always I will bring to you the news and top stories this week!

Here are the top stories that I will share this week
1) Oil Surge.

The surge in the oil price has had a great effect on Asia's market. It will cause inflation which is the worst part. We are just getting slowly out of the pandemic, and now we have to face this crisis.
There are so many videos that people opt for different options just to save oil. A funny video that I watched was this man is using an electric baby car to get something from a convenience store. Yes, it is funny but in reality, the world is suffering because of the price hike. The whole world is affected. One of the reasons is the war between Ukraine and Russia.
2) Children's hospital bombed, wounding several.
The Ukrainians accused the Russian military of bombing a children's hospital and the maternity ward resulting in 17 wounded people and trapped children. Russia beforehand said that the civilians should leave the place because it will be a ground of destruction.
This news really breaks my heart, not the children, please. I do not really like the way they communicate, and then results in war. Yes, Russia is hurting because Ukraine cheated on them. Ukraine promised that they will never join NATO and the alliance is with Russia. What I do not like is the war. I stand with the innocent people who are in between this disagreement. I just do hope that this will come to an end.
3) Comelec and Rappler partnership is suspended.

The partnership between the two was suspended last March 8 due to the allegations that Rappler has a foreign tie, thus will affect the interest of the Philippines. The partnership is for the incoming election in May to fight fake news and guard the information.
What do you think about this news? For me, there are still a lot of broadcast media to choose from besides Rappler. Rappler has a lot of issues and questionable articles. I am not saying that they are biased or whatever, but the company is tainted and has a lot of history of unjust reporting. I believe that Comelec can still find a new company to tied up to for this incoming election.
4) Heated argument between Atty. Larry Gadon and Atty. Luke Espiritu.

I watched the debate on YouTube the day after. For me, the highlight of the debate is the hot argument between Atty. Gadon and Atty. Espiritu. It started when Atty. Espiritu mentioned the name of the late president, Marcos, and was talking about the Martial Law's bad side such as the people that were tortured and lost. Atty. Gadon, as a Marcos loyalist, butt in during Atty. Espiritu's time. They were talking about the human rights that were violated during that time.
This is my opinion. Please do respect. For me, Martial Law was not implemented to make the country suffer. Martial Law for me is a control for NPA not to destroy, invade, and harass people. NPA was created because they are against the government. Up until this day, in our province, there are still NPAs here and we are really scared because they carry guns and bombs. It is also unfair to blame everything on Marcos too because he cannot control everybody's decisions and actions. I do not believe that he will harm anyone without any dense reasons.
On the other hand, Atty. Gadon should wait for his time to react. He is known to be hot-headed all the time. He hates "bobo" people. He is very reactive when it comes to Marcos, but we should be also respectful of others' time.
Final Thoughts
There you go. These are the news that I thought to share this week. The news that I am really interested in is the oil surge because it really affects the economy also affects crypto. Oil is the fuel that keeps the world going. It is one of the most priced commodities in the world. I do not like the war. I do hope that between Russia and Ukraine war will stop soon. No one deserves pain and suffering, especially the children that were hurt in the bombing. I am hoping for a clean and peaceful election this coming May. I am a first-time voter so it will be memorable for me.
