Do I Feel Better Or Worse About The Change In Diet?

At the time of writing, Wednesday, I had much time to draft more articles, yet, after posting my entry to the LoH contest, I was stuck on a blank page and couldn't think of how I would start my new draft. Thoughts were stuck in my synapses again.

In the afternoon, I decided to try something new to lift my mood. When I saw a zucchini in the fridge, I immediately thought of a recipe for it. I saw one online that was zucchini fries, and I did what my mind desired, albeit with no guarantee of success. It was yet another experiment in cooking for me. Cooking is one of the things I want to do whenever I need to lift my mood.

This is just a spoiler of what I will post on FBH this week. Since I also love this platform, I will share it here. The menu is zucchini fries and I cooked them by coating the slices of zucchini with batter (a mixture of flour, egg, butter, olive oil, and Italian herbs). Next was baking them to avoid using too much oil. You can air fry them too to make them crispier. The accompaniment is udon noodles in cherry tomato sauce, also seasoned with Italian herbs. The sauce for fries is also tomato sauce garnished with Italian herbs and sesame seeds. This is ideal for vegetarians, except that I added a little meat to my udon noodles. You can omit it and add crushed tofu instead, which I forgot to buy.

You probably have noticed that my diet recently is consist of more vegetables and fruits and lesser meat. This is getting back to the healthy lifestyle I once had. Along with it is taking supplements to support my joints and muscles, for a better physique. It's almost a month since I've been doing this, and I noticed a little difference.

I feel a little lighter as those food aren't heavy in my stomach. I wasn't sure though about my weight if it decreases, but it wasn't my main purpose. In fact, I want to add more, so I'm taking alternative sources of protein from the food I am taking.

Choosing which food to serve is quite easy for me who's been used to eating vegetables. But maintaining it is the toughest part, especially if there is yummier food around. I am disciplined when I am at home as I can simply cook any kind of food I want, and I can choose which ingredients to add.

However, on holidays, those are the days that I tend to cheat on my diet as I have no choice but to eat anything from the restaurant since I can not cook at home. Although I am allowed to, I just don't want to, as the house owner might think that I am abusing their kindness. I am just grateful for the space given to me to do whatever I want in this house. As if it is my own.

Due to circumstances, some people will find it difficult to stick to a diet or achieve a specific goal. However, with self-discipline, anything is possible. Not just in terms of diet, but also in terms of setting and achieving goals.

I love vege at moderate lang ako sa karne. My mouth salivates whenever I see foodies even in pictures only since am on my way to 2nd trimester. My appetite starts to become normal.

Fruits and vege are my favorite and always wanted to have some in my meals instead of meats, eggs, fried chicken etc.

Wanna lessen my carbs intake, Ate lalo na sa rice kasi one of the leading sources of sugar din kasi. Pero goshhhh! Rice is layp ako lalo kapag ngarag sa paperworks. I can't remove it sa meal ko kun'di nakuuuu. Siguro kapag tapos na ako sa thesis pwede nang di mag-rice kahit minsan. For now, bawas-bawas na lang talaga muna. 🤭

I haven't really changed my diet ever. I've been consistent in the meals I eat and hate trying out new foods cis it scares me but I'll consider doing it one of these days.

I usually try as much as possible to eat healthy but sometimes I end up going off diet 😆 but at least I have learnt how to stay off soft drinks and replaced them with water, that's more healthy.

You're doing quite well sticking to a diet and just like you said, it takes lots of discipline to stick to one but cheating is allowed once in a while 😉

It takes self discipline to be honest to stick to a healthy regimen. I know how my brother would always talk about eating healthy and his wife would be the one to laugh at him when we speak that he has cheated his regimen many times hahaha. It takes effort to stick to it really.

I use to be so dedicated with both my diet and exercise. I actually helped quite a few people out with that. Holidays I even would slip a workout in. I was so strong with it for many years than I had surgery recently and it has really thrown me off on both. I know I just need to get back on the saddle.

Major eye surgery my retina was about to detach. Physical limitations for a little over a month. It was just over 9 weeks ago. I'm a young 48 model🤣 I've pack on about 2 kg not much

No accident probably due to many eye surgeries. Been through hell with my left eye. 5 in total, this last one was the worst surgery I ever went through. 4 of them were done within the last 2 years. The eye doctor is the least favorite among all doctors for me 🤣😂🤣

Feel ko naman Ate need ko i-change diet ko. Cut or lessen muna ako sa sugary drinks ngayon. But if matetempt ako, I made sure na dapat iinom lang ako ng lemon juice. Tinatamad lang ako bumili ng lemon kasi ang mahal haha. I'm physically active naman kasi more than 60 minutes ako nag-e-exercise lagi haha.

Mabuti madam at pwede kang magluto jan anytime, ako nung nanjan pa ako pwede lang ako magluto ng kahit na ano kung nasa bakasyon sila. Pero kapag anjan sila, food of their choice lang talaga pwede kong lutoin. Anyway I am also planning to have my diet since I am starting to feel that I am gaining some weight na, hopefully I can also do it soon. I think after holiday nalang para di masira😂
