Maybe you are a book lover, you probably have the biggest dream of ever writing a successful book. Maybe you have been thinking for several years about different ideas to write a story just like your favorite writers. You may even have several notebooks and journals full of interesting stories that you just can't bring yourself to publish. But after thinking about it, you may have become discouraged for two reasons: you know you are not a professional writer and you think no one will be interested in reading your book.
In fact, these fears are normal and even the most famous writers went through them in their beginnings. The key is to leave the excuses aside and venture into writing a book. But if you're still wondering, I'll give you 5 more reasons why you should write:
- First, writing a book is your legacy to the world.
- Second, people love to discover new writers with amazing stories.
- Third, it elevates your personal brand.
- Fourth, you'll learn new things.
- Finally, you'll discover what you're most passionate about: writing.
In the same vein, the dream of writing a book can be considered one of the so-called life purposes, we walk through a bookstore or go to a book exhibition and we are surprised that someone can write stories, collect biographies of illustrious men. It's funny how we have categorized writers as strange beings with certain kinds of trappings, weird fears and we put very funny stereotypes on these very eccentric human beings we think.
In that sense, let's say that writing is transmitting to posterity an essential part of ourselves. When we write, a part of our soul is imprinted on each page. That is why it is an art, because when we talk about a novel, the novel is a life, and a good part of us is captured in every piece of writing we do. Our subconscious is the one that takes shape in each page and each written letter, as if our imagination was flying through the wind. Dare to write and you will see that a range of possibilities opens up. Writing you find new worlds and at the same time your private universe.
We all have a book inside, something to say, to teach, to explain, a message to give and sometimes not having clear reasons to do so, limit us to take action. Writing a book allows you to clarify your ideas, to put your mind in order, with a clear structure of what are those things you know. Some people know many things, but in their mind they do not have an organization that helps them to develop their ideas. Clarifying your ideas is of utmost importance because it allows us to structure and classify.
In addition, it will force you to read more books, since currently reading averages are very low. This will increase your visibility, also writing will give you the advantage of generating credibility in your message, having ownership of what you talk about, even if other people have another point of view, they will value your opinion, because a book gives the idea that if someone has written it is because they must know the subject or at least have read more. It is of great importance to be constant in whatever one proposes to do, because that is the basis of creating a habit and keeping it.
In conclusion, for this it is not about generating a simple monotonous routine and boring it, but rather to be committed to what we would like to master and develop, it is will allows us to do it daily. I believe that discipline is a fundamental component that helps us to develop the capacity to achieve our goals.
If you want to be a writer, you need to have constancy and commitment. That's why it would be a good idea to start building a routine to write every day. Don't be afraid that hours will pass or that you might run out of words, writing is a process that doesn't happen by magic. The best way to do it is to get organized.
Would you dare to write a book?
