What do the heroes of the cartoon SpongeBob symbolize?

The world-famous cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants had its premiere back in 1999, almost everyone experienced that at least once the cartoonist SpongeBob SquarePants was released in the house. However, Stephen Hillenburg, a marine biologist, ... the creator of this cartoon series, however, did not just want to entertain the audience.

Whoever looked at this cartoon at least once, realized that the story, as well as the characters in it, are not the least bit naive. As if they are not intended for early childhood. However, all children love Sponge Bob. What is it that magically attracts?

An interesting fact is that behind all, so to speak, the main characters, there is one mortal sin. Each in all its banality and exaggeration presents it credibly thanks to the humorous scenes in each episode.

Sponge Bob represents debauchery

By far a favorite, but also in the long run, the irritating character SpongeBob is benignly portrayed in the light of debauchery. Debauchery is often associated with sexual desire and sexual act, although in SpongeBob's case this is not the case. He strives to win everyone over, to show and prove to everyone.

Patrick Star represents laziness

SpongeBob's friend is Patrick, a fat pink starfish. In Coral (but also in a figurative sense), Patrick is the personification of laziness, a mortal sin which, according to the biblical writings, was the most hateful to God. Even his house (the stone under which he sleeps) shows his lack of interest in progressing in life - it contains only a TV and an armchair. Although I saw Patrick as stupid after a few looks, the children say that he is not at all naive. They even listed situations in which he did not behave in a friendly way towards his best friend, and they think that Patrick is funny, but also cunning.

Squidward Tentacles - anger

A classic nihilist, full of resentment towards everything that moves on the seabed. Squidward Tentacles can't stand anyone around him, he looks at everyone with contempt, he is dissatisfied with his life and hates anyone who disturbs his peace.

Mr. Krabs - greed

Eugene H. Krabs is really the most impressive depiction of a miser. His stinginess erupts at every moment and at all doors; even he himself is not ashamed to show it. His greed for every penny has turned into madness, where he is able to sell everything, his cheek, even his family for a penny.

Gary - gluttony

Gary is one really interesting pet. Apart from meowing, even though he is a snail, he also likes to read poetry when his owner is not at home. He is credited with gluttony because, in almost every episode, he chews something.

Sandy Cheeks - pride

Sandy is a really atypical resident of Coral. It is a squirrel and a land animal that lives in the sea, so it immediately distinguishes it from other inhabitants. Her pride is reflected in that, in emphasizing and emphasizing that she is not like everyone else and that she is unique. He has that trait where he wants to present himself as superior, especially over SpongeBob in "karate situations".

Plankton-represents envy

The main villain in this story is Plankton, a small sea animal whose main life goal is to steal Mr. Krabs secret recipe and get Eugene out of work. The greed that Plankton shows is not directly related to Mr. Krabs money. His desire is to be better than Mr. Krabs, not to have his wealth. It is important to note that Mr. Krabs and Plankton used to be best friends, but it is not clear why they stopped hanging out. The children say that Plankton is evil and naughty, as well as that they would never eat in Chum Bucket  with slops (as his restaurant is called).

These seven sins appear in every character, but not always, depending on the situation. The cartoon itself is conceived so that each of the characters is an official representation of just one, but that tells us one thing - they are all causally connected.

Thank you for reading my article ... I hope that you enjoyed ...

I send you a big greetings!

Should be yeah! They are all successful writers in their own fields, but they love to deconstruct movies and shows and using their characters to play into it all. its fantastic. there is a pod cast with two of them still Daniel O'Brian and Soren Bowey

The entertainment industry was rocked by the sad news when Stephen Hillenburg, author of the popular SpongeBob character, died. He died as a result of Lou-Gehrig's disease. He was 57 years old. Stephen created, wrote, produced and directed the animated series, which premiered in 1999 and has since produced hundreds of episodes.

I'm not a fan and though the interpretations of each character is subtle, it will still affect the subconscious of every child watching. That's sad :(

Sponge Bob is an American cartoon series, but, thanks to its excellent dubbing, it has become so popular in our country that it is watched not only by children, but also by adults.

Well, the kids do not really know the underlying meaning of the characters but will surely understand it as they grow older. As for me, I heard about this but didn't give my attention well. I'm glad I have read this by now 😁
