Life doesn’t come with a manual
Curiosity is one of the most basic elements of human nature. It's a funny little thing too — curiosity is what allowed us to become the dominant species on the planet, but it's also what has killed us. We're curious about death, but we don't want to actually die; we're curious about drinking, but we don't want to become alcoholics; we're curious about sex, but we don't want to contract STIs or end up as teen parents. But when you really look at why we are curious, i think it isn’t our fault. We weren’t given handouts as to how to live when we were Born.
The internet has made us more curious than ever before — to the point where some would say we're becoming dangerously so — and with our constant access to information at our fingertips, there's quite literally no limit to our curiosity.
Life doesn’t come with a manual. We learn from our parents and friends, from teachers and experts and from the books we read. But sometimes, the best advice is the most difficult to hear. If you're looking for some advice that isn’t always sugar coated and comes with no strings attached, you should lean towards elderly people especially your grandparents.
Curiosity is one of the most important qualities you can have. It has led us to all of our greatest achievements: the discovery of fire, the invention of space travel. Curiosity has also led to many things we take for granted today: antibiotics, vaccines, and even clean drinking water. You name it... if it's something you use and appreciate every day, chances are that at one time or another someone with a healthy dose of curiosity was responsible for it.
Curiosity has no set path. There is no right way or wrong way. The best thing to do is to figure out what kind of person you are, what you enjoy and what makes you happy. Ask questions, be curious and understand that our journey through life will be different than the other person sitting next to us. It’s easy to get caught up in the idea of success and getting further in life than the person next to us. The harder path is actually figuring out who we are and how we can express ourselves to the world, because this is the only way we can become truly successful.
Humankind has always been curious, always seeking to explore. Today we are curious about new technologies, new jobs, new opportunities and new challenges. We are curious about the future and what it holds. We're asking questions, charting our discoveries and relishing in the rewards of curiosity.
Every so often, if you look up at the sky, a shooting star will dash across the night's sky. How do you explain that? How do you explain that most animals have only 5 senses, yet we humans have 7? What is our intuition and why do we have it? Why do animals behave in certain ways?
There are so many questions that are not answered.
We try to predict the future, and make sense of the past. We want to know what our purpose on this planet is, and how did everything get here? But in the big scheme of things, how much does it truly matter anyway?
Summarily, Curiosity is a driving force that has gotten us to where we are today. Curiosity should be encouraged and cultivated. Curious culture is our way of encouraging people to learn and discover more about the world around them, and Curiosity has the power to change opinions and beliefs and it believe it has the power to change the world.
