Another mistake...

Fred was separated from his parent as an infant; his pregnancy came as a mistake. His mom, Tonia wasn’t ready to have a child since she was a student but unprotected sex lead to the pregnancy. Her family didn’t know about it, she hid all through the pregnancy and the delivery; they could have made a difference in Fred’s life.

She gave him out a few weeks after delivery; his mother took a huge sum of money in exchange for him and left the country.

She went abroad to study and started a new life; she graduated with a good degree as a doctor. Her disappearance caused lots of issues because no one could tell her whereabouts but happiness was restored to the family after she chatted with her siblings online and she eventually did a video call with the family after her graduation.

She got a good job and was happy, pressure started coming from her family at some point and she decided to visit Nigeria again.

It’s been 10 years, lots of development has happened in the country and she could barely remember some road as she journeyed from the airport to her hometown.

It was a great reunion for the family, the lost Tonia returned home. The news spread like wildfire, many elders in the community came to celebrate with the family and she returned to the state a few days after.

The couples who got Fred were able to make their babies after 20 years of marriage, Fred was 10 already. The family shifted all care to their new child and it was the beginning of Fred’s problem, they found it hard to spare 10% of their time for him.

With Tonia's experience during her visit, she wasn’t happy with the medical situation in the country and made up her mind to set up her hospital. She worked towards that for another 10 years and finally returned to Nigeria to make her dreams become reality but during those 10 years, a lot happened.

She got married twice; her husband’s left her for another woman because she couldn’t conceive. She gave up on that and decided to build her career after she returned to Nigeria.

Things went well on her arrival; she was able to get approval to own a hospital in the country. Meanwhile, Fred got the biggest shock of his life on his 20th birthday.

His adopted parent made it clear that they weren’t his parent; they gave him every information they had about his mother, gave him money to go and start his life elsewhere. It was a big shock for him and it made his life miserable, his education was affected and he dropped out due to psychological issues, he became an alcohol addict while trying to let go of everything from the past.

Tonia hospital was flourishing while Fred's world was crashing, life can be unfair. The young man deserves a better life than he is living, he couldn’t endure the changes in his life for long and opted in for suicide.

On this fateful day, Tonia got a call from her lawyer abroad that she needed to be in the states due to some reasons attached to her properties. It was an unplanned journey so she gathered the staff and told them she will be away for a few weeks, the meeting went well and she left for the airport from there.

She was to catch the night flight but had to leave early because she had to travel two towns before reaching the airport, her driver was speeding past the highway in the second town when something bumped into the road. He reversed the car because they weren’t sure of what bumped into them; he zoomed off immediately he saw blood and a lifeless body on the road.

Tonia was shivering, she didn’t believe her eyes. She kept screaming in the back seat, the driver was telling her that they can’t stop because people will attack them for what happened.

He sped off...
