What you see is what you get

Happy first Sunday of the month to everyone reading this article, I pray this new week and month will be a prosperous one for us. I was very happy today in the church because being it the first Sunday, it is usually taken for a praise Sunday. We will praise God in singing and dancing and of course as the best dancer in the family 😅😅😅, I dare not dull myself during this moment. I danced as if my life will be taken if I don't. I remember one of my favourite people on this site once told me to send my dancing video here on this site, I tried to but the video wasn't loading, I will try next time.

After all the dance the pastor came to the pulpit to give us a sermon and preach the title of this article. My yesterday article saying "expect the worse", click the link to read if you haven't, was talking about placing your mind in a state to always see people as humans that can fail one at any time. The fact that I said this doesn't mean you should negatively see things all the time all because you want to be careful with humans. The title says "what you see is what you get", if you continually negatively see things, I bet you it is negative you will get.

A short story to clarify what am saying:

There is this young man who just graduate from university and was ready to leave for his NYSC service. He and his friend were posted to the same state for their service, they believe not in what God can do right from their university days till they graduate. The day they were leaving for the travel in a friend car, the parent of the young man came to pray for them for their safe journey but the young man said they shouldn't because there is no space for God in the car except God will sit at the back of their car which is the boot. Their parent laugh it out and left and the young boy with his friend left the house to embark on their journey. On their way, they had a serious accident and all of them in the car died but something strange happened. At the back of the car that the young said God should go there to stay, there was a crate of eggs there with other foodstuffs that they intend to eat when they get to where they are going. The eggs in the crate did not break at all, not even a single one did and the accident was a very brutal one.

Lesson: the young man saw God as someone powerless, someone that doesn't exist and unfortunately for him, he got what he sees. The one that doesn't exist showed him he owns his life by taking his life.

Another short story:

A pastor went to the mountain to fast and pray for several days and on his way coming, the bus he entered was playing news on a radio station and they were talking about the country economy about how poor it was. When the man got home, he was welcomed by his family and they asked him about his prayer instead of him replying with a positive response, he went ahead and started complaining about the poor situation of the economy. He nullified all the powerful prayers he has prayed by negating them with a negative response. He didn't see the God he believed initially that makes him pray on the mountain any longer but rather he sees the poor situation of the economy. For several years, he didn't progress in life at all because he didn't see God in action again. He got what he sees in return.

Lesson: the reason that makes him go to the mountain was to pray to God who he believes in but unfortunately when he came back he didn't see God again. He suffered for it because all his prayer were nullified. He got what he sees in return.

Many of us are like the young man and the pastor because we see the negative part of everything we lay our hands upon. We should be positive about our words ( words that come from our mouths) because our words go a long way. We should see things positively so that we can get them positively too. For example, if we see our work as a stepping stone to success then it will be like that but when we see it the other way around, we will then get it the other way around too. As a student, if you see a particular course as a very hard one and one you can never understand, your attitude towards that course will be very bad and that alone can make you fail and that failure is what you got for seeing the course negatively.

See the good in everything, be positive always

I have learned a great lesson today! We should put God in everything first so that he's always with us in every journey that we're going to pursue. Even if how good you are, how skilled and talented you are and you're not doing it for God's glory everything is useless and you will not earned god's trust and favor. Thank you for this, as if I'm attending a church Sunday for the lessons I've learned here! Good job!

Ouch! That's so pathetic to have seen them die that way though the fault was theirs. What a lesson for us the fortunate ones who are still alive
