One weekend at Anawangin Cove March 3, 2022 Hello Lovely Read Friends After sharing with you our Bicol Trip I decided to store all my trips here in the blockchain. Just thought of writing here all the story behind all the photos that were stored in my hard drive just to make sure that someday I have something to look back on that will remind me of how fun and adventurous I was when I was younger. Photos with the story in it and not just photos that will leave me clueless about what happened there and whom I'm with.
Looks like from a different country right? That is what Anawangin Cove offers us when we went there last 2012. Who would have thought that there is a cove here with tall pines trees all over the area that is just a few steps away from the ocean waves? And that is what we found when we went there. Anawangin is just a 4 to 5 hours drive from the hustle and bustle of Manila with a 30 minutes boat ride. It is a hidden paradise that you will find in Pundaquit, San Antonio, Zambales.
A crescent-shaped beach with grayish sand and cerulean blue waters welcomed us when we get there one Saturday. The cove is untouched so it means no electricity, no establishment so we packed everything and bring it with us. We planned to stay there overnight so we also bring a tent and some utensils that will help us stay comfortable throughout the trip.
We passed through that wooden bridge to reach the campsite. Luckily we reached there early enough that we had a chance to choose a nice spot where we can pitch our tent.
The area was clean and there are lots of Pine Trees that surround the area. They also installed tables and benches that can be used by the campers.
We chose a spot where it is near a table and an open space where we can set up woods for bonfires and a place where we can cook.
After we set up our tent some of my friends started lighting a fire to cook our food, while others are busy fixing their things inside the tent. And I'm one of them who prioritize fixing her things first before doing anything else.
While some are cooking some are already having drinks and some are playing cards. It's a day that is full of waves of laughter and fun and relaxation.
By night time, my friend set up the bonfire and we sing and drink all night long until the fire of the bonfire runs out.
Everyone woke up late the next day. Had brunch and had swimming on the beach. We decided to head back after lunch as we don't want to experience the big waves while going back to the main island.
It was a trip that I really get to know some of my friends. Who can last without the luxury of our homes? Who is cool enough to spend a day and night without the comfort of their bed. Who can last without connecting to the internet things like that? Spending a day and night away from the hustle and bustle of city life is something that I want to do every once in a while. Going back to basic without internet gives us a chance to get to know more the people around us, it gives us time to be really there for them and not just physically present. And if you have come this far... Anawangin was my first glamping experience. Didn't even know about glamping until then ahhahahaha... Yikeee love the fun popping out of those pics!
glamping talaga? our was the basic camping trip but because i have someone back then who will make bitbit everything for me.. i have my pillow and blanket hahaha
Hahha we did not have any. But there is a camp spot in anawangin where you can rent. No blankies no pillows.. we only have our bag, our suit, and the uke. It was semi glamping because we can buy food from a store nearby and the wood for fire... They also sell and the coffee... They sell... Everything is just there hahahhahah...

My cousins live in Zambales they are always inviting us to go the beaches there because they said looks really beautiful and even though I went there once I didn't get a chance to swim because of the bad weather. That place looks really beautiful and looks really fun to stay and have a camping.

Yes it looks like from a different country. I can say it's more fun in Philippines. 🇵🇭
Perfect for family and picture taking ang place. Pero mas bet ko ang bonfire, once in a blue moon ko lang ma experience :D
