Today I want to talk to you about the first item in my list of favorite movies. So far, I have read many articles from you about your favorite movies and series. Now it's my turn to talk about the first series on my list of favorite series.
My husband and I get used to watching a series two hours before sleeping every night, and we have seen many famous and unfamiliar series so far. Famous American series such as Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Homeland, True Detective, Big Little Lies and many other series. Famous Korean series, such as All of us dead, Vincenzo, Squid Game, Hell bound, and other interesting series. Spanish series like Money Heist. And many other movies and series from different countries. Many of those series I can boldly say were masterpieces, especially Korean series. But of all of them, the most influential and memorable series in my mind was Dexter, which topped the list of movies and series I have ever watched.
Dexter is a drama, crime and mystery series, the first season of which aired in 2006. The offer to watch this series was made by my husband 5 years ago, and because it is about the life of a serial killer and it is violent, it was initially rejected by me. I always run away from horror movies, and I'm not willing to watch them because I know they affect my psyche. But I faced a lot of pressure from my husband to see this movie. He promised me that I would definitely like the movie. I also accepted his request. And to my disbelief, this movie, although wasn't of the genres I like, became the best movie on my watch list.
The main star of this movie is a serial killer named Dexter Morgan. Dexter is the name of a man who works as a blood specialist at the Miami Police Department, and examines crime scenes and how people are killed. He is a serial killer himself, and he skillfully seizes and kills the killers who have escaped from the police for years. He does this so professionally and without any trace of himself.
He has been working for years in the police department of the criminal department, which also identifies how the victims were killed, but no one knows that he was a killer. He is very professional in his work, and has a popular, calm and trustworthy personality among his colleagues.
The reason he became a serial killer is that he witnessed the brutal murder of his mother as a child, and soaked in his mother's blood for hours, until the police found him with his mother's body. The policeman who finds him accepts him as his own child, and adopt him. The cop who becomes a real father to him realizes Dexter's mental illness years later, and tries to help him.
The entire series portrays Dexter's dual character as a professional cop, and at the same time a professional killer. Who always remembers the memories and advice of his father as an experienced policeman.
Dexter established himself as one of the most popular television personalities at the time, and won many awards.
Dexter is so cleverly portrayed with acting Michael C. Hall that he nails every viewer to the series. If you don't have a problem with watching violent and criminal movies, I recommend this series to you. Maybe this series will play the role of the best and most influential in your watch list forever, as it played for me. 😉
I never heard about this Dexter and I'll try to watch it later my dear Ellen. As of now I'm starting to search a new series to watch. I'm done with love you as the world ends till season 3 but sad to say I need to wait again the last part hehehe.
