For those who have been exposed to the BTC narratives for too long, this may come as a surprise, but BTC used to be different.
Back when it respected the whitepaper and it was Bitcoin, the blockchain was censorship resistant, peer-to-peer electronic cash...
...but now, BTC is an empty husk, it's body devoid of soul.
The soul is now largely in BCH, though we lack the body, the BTC handle and those brilliant minds who were shut down or simply gave up.
Blockstream laughs and rubs their greased up hands...
...this was, after all, their plan all along.
Read below to get a complete rundown of why Blockstream is bad and why they are responsible for a lot of what is wrong with BTC today.
Blockstream, the Gatekeeper: Centralizing BTC and Acting as Middlemen
Bitcoin should be decentralized by nature, but Blockstream can only benefit from it if it becomes centralized.
Blockstream has a solid plan in place to make sure BTC Code Changes that hurt the company don't go forward, and code changes that benefit it do.
In this sense, Maxwell is a gatekeeper - instead of building a company that profits from what Bitcoin is good for, it built a company around gatekeeping it.
You see, Blockstream profits out of sidechains and patchwork.
Bitcoin is scalable on chain, as we know in BCH, but BTC doesn't scale on chain because Blockstream sabotaged it in order to be needed and to sell its patchwork solutions for problems Bitcoin didn't had if it followed the whitepaper.
Why is the blocksize limited in BTC?
Because that's the only way Blockstream can keep their position of middlemen between the BTC miner and the user.
Bitcoin is supposed to be peer-to-peer electronic cash, but peer-to-peer is destroyed on BTC, since now Blockstream is the middleman.
Blockstream, their Solutions, their Censorship:
Blockstream invented wonderful solutions, don't you think?
Hint... I'm being ironic.
Lightning Network was one of these inventions, it started being developed in 2015 and so far it brought nothing but problems.
On the other hand, a new invention they also brought in was censorship.
Imagine that, censorship on a traditionally censorship-resistant chain... oh how far did BTC fall.
There were a lot of brilliant minds in BTC, and I'm sure you can remember a few.
Blockstream used censorship, negativity, toxicity and cloak & dagger campaigns to get rid of those minds.
Everyone who was aiming at improving Bitcoin and making Bitcoin work was hunted down relentlessly... or simply silenced.
Echo-Chambers: Indoctrination in Process
Since Blockstream and its agents cleansed the great minds out of BTC, most of them fleeing to either BCH (the majority) or Bitcoin SV (the minority), it now had a lot of space to build up their narrative.
Blockstream planted fake news and created echo chambers throughout the community.
The old Maximalist, the follower of the whitepaper and the Bitcoin Ideals... was dead!
The new Maxi, the one we see today, was born.
The community now thinks along the desired path, and BTC's censorship is known throughout the crypto world.
Proof of Censorship: Manipulation Evidence
The community in r/bitcoin (the bitcoin subreddit) discovered that former CTO Gregory Maxwell had an intricate role in hacking and manipulating votes.
A lot of ink was running back in the day about these events, and if you really want to dive deep, then read the following:
If this isn't enough to prove that censorship in BTC is real and it happens daily, or if you think this has changed with time, then know that Blockstream makes it a habit of hiring community agents to work on their products.
Blockstream Pays Prominent BTC Community Members to Develop for Them:
There have been a lot of prominent BTC community members who act and talk as if they are unbiased but really are on the Blockstream's pay sheets.
In the beginning, Blockstream wasn't secretive about their team, but that changed since a lot of scandals surfaced and as they became widespread throughout the crypto world.
Everywhere you go, whatever token or community you walk into... everyone knows of these shady dealings, anyone BUT the mindless, or should I say brainwashed, BTC community.
Here are a few topics worthy of a read:
...And these are just a couple of topics, you can easily google another 5 or 10.
Blockstream has been trying to fly has unbiased, uninvolved and non-partisan, but these things are everything Blockstream ISN'T!
They want Bitcoin to fail and they want their solutions to be required, they want to sell their hardware, their sidechains, their subscriptions.
They want to cash in on those fees.
The Blockstream sidechains gather those juicy transaction fees and, instead of "wasting it" paying the miners, they funnel it directly into Blockstream's fat pockets.
Think about it, sidechains fix the problems BTC develops over time, as Blockstream does its best to make those problems appear.
Invent the disease to sell the cure.
Where have we seen this before?
Countless times throughout history.
Blockstream's Liquid Sidechain: BTC Needs to Fail!
Bitcoin scales on-chain, it has no problem doing so, we know it right here on BCH.
On the other hand, high-latency is a huge problem in BTC... I already addressed this problem in previous posts, but you know it to be true.
So, this high-latency is due to limitations perpetuated by Blockstream agents and other interested parties, as to make sidechains NEEDED.
Thus, BTC has to offload transactions to sidechains.
Profit for you-know-who!
Shady Connections: Spies, BitMEX, Bitfinex, and Undercover Agents
Remember when Bitfinex and BitMEX were under investigation? When the guys running those shows were covering up losses using people's money?
Well, what if I told you that they have strong links to Blockstream?
Not only that, Bill Scannel is also working with Blockstream, and he was a former national spy.
Why does a Crypto Company need to employ spies?
Well, it's simple - spies are the ones who spread disinformation and control informational fluxes.
For a brainwashing operation, to manipulate the community, to set up the environment of original Bitcoin whitepaper failure Blockstream needs - the help of a good national spy was needed.
Scannel is working closely with top BTC community members, and I have strong suspicions he is feeding them narratives and making sure they know what kind of info pleases the guys who are paying for it.
So, to sum that up.
Blockstream's business is to provide sidechains, patchwork and centralization to BTC.
They use a lot of different tactics to achieve that, like controlling the community, hiring former spies, paying community members, and - of course - censoring those who want BTC to be Bitcoin and to succeed.
Bitcoin, for Blockstream, needs to fail...
..simple as that!
Cheers!
