We are on the same Sea but not the one same Boat

We are living in this world full of inequalities, there's a huge gap in society between rich and poor. Those rich people enjoys the luxurious life, living in a mansion, spending money without even bother how much they spend, riding a sports car then gonna show their faces on the window just to boast the car that they have.

There are riches which came from rags that work hard to taste a good life and they manage to become rich and successful, they are truly definition of riches rather than those riches that feels like they are superiors. They are arrogant and selfish to the point that they don't want to waste their money in charities and donation.

They don't want to touch poor people since they feel disgusted on it, they even don't want to step on informal settlers area since they think that people living there are dirty. It's the reality of life which riches are already eaten by their ego and already influenced by the power of money.

We are living in this world which money is need, if you don't have it then you can't live. It's used to buy and pay things we need and unfortunate for those people who don't have luck to get it. I am referring to poor people, they are considered living under the poverty line which they earn atleast 1 to 2 dollars a day, its lucky if they earn 5 dollars in one day since using it they can buy foods for their family.

I was living in a third world country which poverty is the main problem, people have no jobs and they ended up living in a area called informal settle or the place where someone owned it but they occupied it. I'm not saying that informal settlers is a bad place.

In fact I always roaming around habitat which people are living happily, the houses are close to each other and they don't have faucet that's why they manually fetch water in tanks using their pales. It's very fun to be poor actually, when I was in province we are also poor and we are lucky to have foods on table.

There are reasons why my countryman are suffering from poverty, it's due to improper governance, corruption, lack of opportunities and global crisis. One of the crisis that we facing right now is this pandemic, last 2019 when this pandemic started and it surprised the world.

Lockdowns are implemented globally, business are closed, works are suspended and moved in work from home and the greatly affected is those people who don't have stable jobs specially those with no work no pay. Those people working on factory, working as sellers in business establishments and many more. Millions of Filipinos lost their job and they are problematic where they can get a money to buy food.

This crisis shows that we are on the same sea but not on the same boat. The sea resembles my country under the pandemic and the boats resembles the objects where the people hanging on. Those riches are living on yatch, they enjoy luxurious life while looking at the wide sea while there are people drowning below them, they don't care on other people's life as long as they survive.

They enjoy eating stakes while people below them are freezing due to so much cold of water and feel hunger, there are also people which living on a boat, they are considered to be in the middle, they are the one who had ability to survive but they need to save their resources, they usually give their resources to other people but they don't want to allow those people to ride on their boat since it might get sink and they will also get drown, the third one is those people who's holding in log.

Trying to swim on the sea even though they are already cold and feel hungry, their will to survive makes them motivated not to give up. Lastly, those people who already drowned, they died since they don't have something to hold, they didn't receive any help from people above them that's why they already left behind and sunk beneath the ocean.

I hope you get what I mean, I'm glad now that we are not that tight when it comes to protocols and people are able to return to their jobs and start a new life, we are already living in this new normal, even if this pandemic ends, the scar it marks to people will never begone specially to those thousands who lost their lives due to havoc of COVID-19.

It's sad to think that we're living in a place where rich people are being praised and high class people are being respected while the lower one or poor one are treated like a trash. We know that one of the most common problem that our country face is the poverty that grows bigger day by day especially that pandemic happens and the number of people living in poverty increased.

This is the sad reality. Let us just hope that no matter who wins the election, they will do what is good for the country and not only for their own pockets.

We have the power to change the future. Vote wisely. Honestly, I haven't found the candidate that I 100% choose. I am still evaluating. Let's all keep in mind that a single vote from each Filipino is the key to a successful future. Let us vote wisely. ~Manju

It's just sad how we were stuck on the same situation yet end up being on different boats. But anyways, I just hope that our economy will recover faster so that we'll be able to get back on our feet soon. And hopefully, there will be a change in government under the governance of our soon-to-be president and leaders.

There's a clash between two opposition specially those supporters who really loves to ruin other people's candidate that create wars on social media. When it comes to power and fame, BBM leads but Leni still making her way to caught attention of people.

Most times it takes someone who has tasted poverty to understand the pains of being poor. How I wish we could have such life where we will be made to go back to where we started in way to teach us.

This is all a major conspiracy.. for rich people to keep milking money from the middle income and poor people of the society.. Do you believe if I say, after the pandemic has started, there is now 7 new billionaires??? This is all done for themselves.. they have no remorse or regards towards their actions

That's the harsh reality, but added not everyone could have a sit on the boat some are still drowning because of course financial. I remember my Rizal subject where he also pictures the life of poor and rich into a boat or 'tabo'. The rich are enjoying at the top and the poor is waving the button. We are in the same boat when the tabo shink surely the rich could be saved at first not the poor.

You just served a great message. Infact your title can teach one a great lesson. It's true that we are not same & living in a world where we divide things according to it’s background & asset.

A poor becomes poorer, a rich becomes richer. .. Because of a corrupt government... The youth should learn lessons from recent situations and do better once they step on politics

They say that Filipinos are already awaken from the reality that the past administration of Aquinos made this country worst and making a move to elect BBM as president, I don't know his plans for this country but I'm hoping that no matter who wins then he or she will bring this country on track again.

That's why I do not like to compare my life. If they have greater than me, then there is also people in this world who have less of what I have. I believe poverty is not going to be forever, it is not going to lasts.

This is the saddest reality. The power of money can influence other people to be greedy, changing attitudes and selfish. They don't care those homeless and instead help them they will bring you down especially the poorest. I felt sad about this. Sometimes they took an advantage to the poor people and make a bribery to get what they want. I'm really sad about this chikakiku. 🥺

Curruption and Excessive Greed are the main reasons of these scenario. Inequality is everywhere, now we are living such a society where we can't raise our voice against this types of things We have no choice except accepting what is happening. I wish some day all these things will change.
