Its been 8 years sinced the super typhoon named Yolanda(Haiyan its international name) hits our country.Our region was one of the most affected areas of that tragedy.Most of us did'nt expect that it was a strong typhoon.Many lives was gone,treasure,bussiness ,huge houses are being destroyed.
Sino ba naman ang nakalimot sa trahedyang ito?Isa ito sa pinakamalakas na bagyong tumama sa bansa natin.
A months before the tragedy was happened ,I was working in the city where the typhoon landed,one day our supervisor told me that I am going to assigned to other branch of that department store,I was sad and worried coz I've learned that the supervisor that branch where I was going to assigned was very strict ,many employees resigned because of her attitude but I had nothing to with it ,I need a job so I said yes to them and when the super typhoon happened ,I realized that being assigned to other branch was big blessing to me ,I was lucky enough coz I was not there when the typhoon hit that city .
My workmates there was affected by tht typhoon ,I can't imagine the fears they felt that time when the strong wind,floods came and the roof of the store where they are staying was being flew by the strong wind.They all crying with fears,worries and all they do qas prayed that the storm will stop.Unluckily ,our supervisor died ,she is a lesbian and she had a girlfriend there,she decided to stay at her girlfriend's house to accompanied with them ,she left our workmates at the store .Her girlfriend told them what happend to our supervisor.Their house was being destroyed of the typhoon that night and all they did was climbing in a coconut tree because it was starting to flood ,unluckily our supervisor was'nt able to hold the tree for a long a time ,hindi naa tiis at nabitawan niya ang kanyang girlfriend,her gf and her nephew survive that tragedy .
When the morning came ,my workmates there was starting to walk coz they wanted to go home ,no more vehicles at all in the road ,buti nalang may mgadamit sila na hindi nabasa ,at dinala nila ang pera which is kita sa store a for a whole day kasi kinuha ng bangko ang kita sa past days .Umalis sila sa sirang tindahan na walang kain and then nakita nila ang mga tao na pilit buksan ang isang tindahan na hindi nasira ng bagyo at kinuha ang mga laman nito ,hindi nagdalawang isip mga kasamahan namin na magnakaw para may makain sila .Halos lahat ng bahay ay nawasak ,halos walang natirang mga kahoy at kung mayron man ay wala ng dahon ang mga to .
They started walking coz they wanted to go home and they saw many dead people everywhere ,they can't stop to crying looking at the dead people around them and looking the familiea of the dead people who are crying too.After an hour of walking ,they saw our supervisor with no more life ,they asked for help but no one helped them coz the people are busy looking at their missing love ones.What they did was ,they cover the dead body of out supervisor and put a name on the plastic which they used to cover it.Almost a day silang naglalakad until nakakita sila ng sasakyan at nagmakaawang ihatid sila.
Some of our workmates which assigned in the other city also affected and most of them are suffering trauma.Because their branches are selling groceries ,many people their trying to open the store kasi hindi buong tindahan ang nasawak ,ang mga taong sobrang disperado na ay oinilt buksan ang tindahan kasi wala pang ayudang dumating .Nabukasan ng mga tao ang tindahan at kinuha lahat ng laman at walang magawa ang aming mga kasamahan kundi umalis sa lugar na yun kasama ang manager naming chinese.Lumapit sila sa isang simbahan at doon nanatili ng ilang araw dahil hindi masyadong nawasak ang simbahan na yun .Binigyan naman nila ng donasyon ang simbahan na yun kasi dinala nila lahat ng pera sa tindahan.
We don't had an electricity for almost two months siguro kasi ang laki ng damage sa main source ng kuryente dito.Even network signal ay nahirapan kami.Hindi kami masyasong malaki ang damage sa lugar dahil sa bagyo .
That tragedy ay ginamit ng mga corrupt na politika ,maraming pera ang kinuha nila ,ganun paman mas nanaig ang kabutihan ng tao dahil sa dami ng tao,organinsasyon ang tumulong upang makabangon ang lahat na sobrang naapektohan.At ngayon kahit fresh pa sa karamihan ang nangyari ay pilit nilang binabangon ang kanilang mga sarili .
That super typhoon was an eyeopener for all na ,kung ang kalikasan na ang magagalit ,wala tayong magagawa .Kaya ingatan natin ang ating kalikasan.Save mother earth.
